The awesome Joe Bonamassa joined by Mr Clapton-OH! to have been there! All you lucky peeps who were there!!! Thanks for posting this, and yeah! great sound quality. The Two Masters at work!
Thanks for posting.
Amazing night and an Amazing venue. Got to be in my top 5 of concerts, I've been to.
Loved the Clapton, Joe jam, almost as much as Joe did lol and didn't Paul Jones make the mouth organ sound unreal, the acoustics were superb.
Cheers Joe for another fantastic night!
Absolutely awsome gig so glad I was there. Can't wait to see him again.
Brilliant performance last night. What a suprise it was when Joe announced Clapton was to join him for this song!
Unbelievable! The question & answer licks in the end were pure gold. Giants of the game.
It was a fantastic show. I thought it was quite funny that the first time I ever get to see Eric Clapton perform live is at a Joe Bonamassa concert. Definitely one of the highlights of the night!
Awesome!! Thanks for posting this!! I wish I could have been there. Thank you!!!
Great post, nice quality for a private concert video
Superb! So glad im going to see him on 28th Nov.
wow, i bet it was amazing to be there, thanks for posting!!!
I saw him last saturday (may 2) in Groningen during the Rhythm & Blues Night. What a performance, He played for almost 2 hours (only 1 hour was scheduled). He the did also "Further Up On The Road", unfortunatly without EC....... :-(
But he mentioned his gig at the RYH and that he was "practising" with his BIG Band (2 drummers and horns) for that gig. Greetings, Mr.Ed
OH YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!!! Thank you so MUCH for shooting this and posting it!!!!
I can see me:) What a night and Joe showed at the forum after show party and stayed for ages :)
thanks for posting this - I was there and it was just amazing!
Wow that's awesome. Thanks for the post.
I was there! What a great night.....I can tell you folks that when EC walked on stage 4,000 people collectively did a little wee in their pants!
Memorable gig but I'm glad I saw JB last year at a venue with just 400 people. If you have never seen JB live, at any cost you must!
I was there, thanks for the post
Wow - I was there up in "the gods" and the sound from your video (presumably mobile phone) is much better!
When I saw him playing this song the 1st of May I knew EC would be there at RAH, I was right! Now I want the DVD so bad!
Its not about who kicked who's ass..Its about the music and it rocked..Gotta love Eric he plays with everybody and just makes the music so awesome and fun to see and listen too.
great sound:)
Man that looked like a great show. You can see Dave Ling's (Classic Rock Mag writer) hair in the front row of the balcony above the drummer - too funny!
JOE shows respect and reverence by not blowing Clapton away with his scales and skills . Nice one
I still believe that this music is best in smokey bars and clubs. This is great but listening and watching over a couple of beers has that added authentic factor!
Good one Ceri!!!!!
yep the Strat is such a versatile sound, don't be bloody knocking it, Les Pauls and Strats are both fantastic instruments! ^^
two guitar gods.
Dunno if anyone has replied, but he song is Further On Up The Road'. Check out Google for lyrics
Yeah - I was directly opposite, left side of stage - best gig in years!!!
how blues can you get joe?
Clapton and Bonamassa, say no more
BTW - note to Joe and RAH - please sort out the sound system for next time - it wasn't balanced at all from where I was!
To RoarEge
I have just realised that you have filmed my baldy head (2 rows down from you centre left of row) for over 5 mins!!! Thanks a bunch. Do i get any royalties!?
Regards
Firripsz
thats cause there all moving in the same rhythm
In your dreams!
pretty much is at most blues shows. all guitar geeks.
Because Joe wanted a great thumping sound for the Show
Wow! great, but wanted more closeups of players.
In Clapton's own words:
"There's no way I could be a racist. It would make no sense".
From what I hear in this clip, both guitarist played great on the song. Also, you might consider it normal that Joe, who is twice younger than EC, has somewhat 'flashier' licks. Also i feel that, in a blues song, all players are equal if they succeed in expressing a bluesy feel in their playing. Moreover, I doubt that EC, at this stage in his career would feel the need to compete with the younger generation. By the way, Eric's vocals on the song are better in any case.
Funny that as the most respected Clapton blues is on a Gibson, Bluesbreakers, Cream
Sorry, this should have been a reply for xxdunkalixx
Wow, people can tell who was better by listening to camera audio that sounds l like it was recorded in a reverb tank... No offense but it is what it is and that's just a couple of players jamming in a huge room and having a good time. If you want to judge it as a competition you'd have to have a little better audio quality- no offense to the video poster. Sounds like a live band just like you recorded.....
strat with many colors (sound)...
LP good, i like it but whoever play LP sounds the same to me....Joe sounds much better on strat..he could put more colors and emotion to the songs..
not sure about the suit Eric ? its not a wedding mate ,
Haha - where's that winking emoticon gone...?

There certainly seem to be some serious deficiencies in seany's education, but it's never too late to learn, assuming he's up to the task.
As a long time fan of Eric I felt that Joe kicked his ass, and that hurt me, maybe Eric as well, look at the DVD and you will see Eric telling his guitar tech to get his guitar after his playing, he looked peaved
Really?
robben ford and gary moore live inside mr bonamassa's fingers
@tutebuacho
@dralontube wow, thats an pretty ignorant statement.
to MoreGilmour: poor taste in humour, man. It's almost as if you blame Clapton for Stevie Ray's death. We all miss Stevie, but don't ever blame anyone but the fog on that godforsaken night !
and you have a fine bald spot at that!
@seanylynch How 'bout you find us just one minority musician that Clapton has ever played with who believes him to be racist. If you like I can list for you some of the many minority musicians who got their big break opening for or touring with Clapton.
@seanylynch It takes a real simpleton to equate Clapton's views on immigration control to racism. The man has lived his entire life proving that music makes race irrelevant. He just thinks it's wrong to import masses of uneducated, unskilled workers of whatever race simply to reduce the cost of labor. It is bad social policy both in the UK and in the US and the cost is teaming ghettos, disintegrating infrastructure and increased racial tension.
