Quick question, could the game get bricked if we changed the wrong number by accident? Or once we quit the game without saving, the system resets?
@@grimx5772 Make a copy of the old information. If it didn't work, just replace it back to the original value. If it didn't save it, then find a way to do something in the game before you switch the game off.
@@grimx5772 @Wizardry But arent we just writing memory values?? We arent changing game code just running scripts to change IN memory values. I could be wrong but the WORST thing that will happen is the game will crash at which point you reload it and the game will reload its default values. @Stephen Chapman is that correct?

Looks like the new update messed it up or something, cant find a single file on cheat engine.

i just played around with cheat engine a little bit to see what i could find out.
And i actually found something:
Not only the character level and streetcred are close to another, but the skill levels are close to them aswell.
In my trys, each of them was described by 28 bytes (seven 4 byte values) in the following pattern:
increasing number (propably an index of an array) - current level - maximum level (for skills depending on the attribute level) - smth i couldn't identify - current xp - remaining xp to next level (not max xp) - points already spent
The increasing numbers identify the skills like this:
0 Assault
1 Athletics
2 Street brawler
3 Cold Blood
4 Quickhacking
5 Crafting
6 Annihilation
7 Engineering
8 Handguns
9 Breach Protocol
10 Blades
11 Characterlevel
12 Stealth
13 Street Cred
I also made a grouped search to find the address of these values, which gave me 2 matches where the second one was the correct one.

My level exp is 665/1376 and my street cred exp is 464/1270, so i put "4:665 4:1376 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:464 4:1270" and it doesnt find any values during the group scan, is there anything im doing wrong?

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit. Okay, something definitely seems to be...not as apparent as it seemed, lol. Okay, do this. Download my cheat table. Toggle the "Enable Me!" script, then go to your stats page (leave it and come back to it if you're on it). Give CE 5-10 seconds to populate the "Experience" value. Once it does, right-click on the value and choose, "Browse this memory region". In the bottom half of that window, right-click on one of the bytes and hover over "Display Type" then select "4 Byte decimal". Now, in the upper-left-hand corner of that bottom portion of the window, you should see your experience and then max experience beside it. If not, then the game must represent the values differently somehow when they increase! If, however, you do see the same numbers, then start looking at bytes to the right until you find what appears to be your Street Cred. I'd be curious to see how many bytes are between whatever find.

@@StephenChapman when i leave the stats page and come back the value doesn't change. sometimes it will say a number and when I do the browse memory region it will pull up the window. i then right click in the middle of the page and change it to 4 byte, and nothing happens.

Great videos man, not working now, but with your guidance got it to work, looked for the independan value of exp, kill an npc, looked again, 3rd npc and brose the memory region, exactly on the same spots, but instead of the max exp needed it was showing another value. 4:(exp you have) 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:(creed exp you have) then same as on the vid. REMEMBER TO KILL A NPC FOR TESTING (exp you have should change live in the value you found). avaible 27/12 if another patch drops may no work again.... Thanks for all the teachings!

I don't recommend this. The game is designed to hand you certain things that are only available whenever you hit a certain street cred. Lets use a car for example, if you are max level, than you missed all the sale opportunities you would have previously been handed.

This number string thingy is whack but your custom made cheat table works like a charm!
It's not coming up with anything in the address box even with a brand new level 1 starting character.
Hmm. There might be other values that get added in between at different times in character progress. I'll continue to play around with this and update if I find something. In the meantime, you could perhaps try to remove a 4.* and try to scan again. If that returns nothing, remove another 4.* and try again. Keep doing that. I don't know if that will work for your scenario, but it's worth a shot! Let me know if that works for you if you give it a try.

Nothing came up when I scanned. I removed a 4:* after each try like u said in someone else’s comment. That still didn’t work.

i have street cred lvl 21 and 104/2221 exp in it ... so it should be
4:21 4:2221 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:* 4:21 4:2221 right ? but it doesnt work for me .. it finds nothing at all...
I'll have to look into this more; there's probably just a different number of bytes between the Experience and Street Cred.

@@polaroid9026 well.. he didn't say your LEVEL but your exparience amount. thus since your street cred is lvl 21 doesnt meant you place 21 there, you place the exparience as said in the video.
HOWEVER I have done all of that and it didnt work for me... I assume, it works only on brand new character? i have no idea

One of the solution would be, scaning the exact value, for instance 960 than going out increasing it letsa say 980 and scanning that number again, if u have few options good if noit again repeat the process and you will 100% find it and be able to chance it

Thanks for the vid but this seem rather convoluted way to find a simple 4 byte addy.
It's a method that people with no experience and/or no street cred can use to immediately give themselves that without having to scan for a value, try to change it, scan again, try to change it, etc. The idea is you just click groupscan, paste this in, scan, choose the bottom result, and you're done. It definitely takes much longer to explain that than to do it, lol. But I also thought a lot of folks would like to see this method since no one ever discusses groupscan as an option.

it worked for the level but not the street cred, but now i cant find more addresses' because i dont know what the max xp is, so im level 50 but street cred 21. any suggestions

Stephen is the value to weird for street cred? Can I not find it with normal ways of searaching? (donno if it is possible to lose street cred, since i am new in the game as well)
What you expalined in the video, i tried it and had 0 results.
Should be able to easily find it through standard 4-Byte scans if you have the patience to rescan when you gain Street Cred in the game!

Everything is possible with cheat engine... but if you are too aggressive with cheat engine you could dull the game. Rendering mechanics of the game useless... reducing the value of your 60 bucks.
