Glad you got her back together! I like the gas 706, I've never worked on diesels so both of my tractors are gas. Guess that's what I'm used to. Hope you have a good one!
I love Ole red. That was my first tractor in 2001. I started farming with a 1965 international 706 gas. I got a 3 14's fast hitch plow and fast hitch draw bar. It was a great tractor. Wow do they have a serious road gear.
@wannabefarmer6056 I found out the hard way that 300 acres was a bit much for it. 100 acres of hay 100 acres of soybeans 100 of wheat. 1 tractor to do all. Long hors and way to much workload but it definitely got me started in farming and thankful everyday that the 706 got me were I am today
@wannabefarmer6056 mine was 34's and narrow front and clam shaped fenders. With 2 remotes. I never had a weight bracket tho. Mine had a 3ft by 2ft homemade steel box bolted to the front of the tractor that was used for rocks, tools, baling twin, etc. All use every crop catch all.
That's why I bought this one after the diesel conversion was made. Diesel is supposed to be for round baling and disking. This one was to lighten the load on the other. Hence why it's ta is shot lol
for side cover clean put bead of high temp silicone let fully cure and put on ,, jeep back in the day did the same , for valve cover conversion . not big bead but i do each circle around bolt holes.
