@@turbochargedfilms thanks- the clouds part as to what this actually is. Very cool. I jumped to conclusions at first.. probably cause I still have my nl2x, swiss .. no Swedish Army knife for live lead synth.. just missing after touch but the playability of that synth, its wooden pitch bend and stone mod wheel… perfect.
Thanks for sharing this with us, maestro! 🤩 Am I right that "Nevada - Friends Till The End" too, one of my absolute favourites amongst your many masterpieces, is mainly NL2 based? 😊 Kudos! 🙌🏻🤗
I just LOVE the general sound of all Nord keyboards ❤ Bold, distinctive, elegant, unique, solid. I do own a Nord Rack 2X and rarely use a computer for music creation anyways, but to fiddle around and designing sounds I can totally see myself using this tool here. Thank you 🎉
Beautifully lush demo track, I really like how it gets into the baroque at the end. Special request - for all your synth revitalizations, can you please add a random preset selector 🎲🔀 button which chooses a preset from the existing list? Would be a delightful way to discover sounds in a NON-A-Z/category way that the original didn't have.
This definitely it over the top!! havent heard anything this good in a long time. Clarity of the filters is insane. Sounds are almost better than the real thing!! When is the release? Need the link for download. A new addition to the studio for sure.
Oh Lord, an indescribable sensation of peace in the soul. Finally. Another piece of cold software discovered, which changes the perspective of looking at music from bedroom level....
When this will be released, then, this in conjunction with the already released OsTirus and Vavra, can be used to make a total virtual hardware remake of the Daft Punk's song "Very Disco"! Nodal Red> flute and organ parts, OsTirus> bass and pad parts (and eventually the arp part alongside Vavra)! Use eventually tromine for the drums!
Discodsp have already done this and has more options. This was my first proper synth in 1998. As others have said, the modular would be good to have a clone of.
I swear to God I can't wait to get it !!! Now that I have the Virus A/B/C + TI, I'm almost ready to delete all my "virtual" plugins ... lmao So grateful to have developers like The Usual Suspects living in this world 😂🙌🏽
Great emulation! Unusual Suspects should make license agreements to allow legal use of these synth emulations even by non-owners of the original hardware, perhaps by offering a paid license.
I imagine that the Usual Suspects would be hit with cease & desist lawsuits if they tried making money from their emulations, because they don't own the intellectual property of the Motorola chips/code or the synth operating systems and look & feel. If Nord (or Waldorf, or Access) wanted cheap/free virtual versions of their synths to be available, they'd presumably make them available themselves, or license the code to developers. Official licenses rarely come cheap and lawyers love giving small companies a hard time.
Btw. Proteus 2000 also used Motorola DSP. There're a lot of EXB banks (similar to ROMs) from Proteus VSTi left. I'm currently parsing EXB format. It is not that complex...
@@winstonhulley626 I'm writing a parser in C++. It's a binary format, kinda IFF but with some tricks (libiff doesn't work). EXB has a bank description with all the instruments. Samples are stored in SamplePool/*.ebl files. I didn't parse EBL yet. But it should be easy. I already found a python script which extracts WAVs from EBL. There is available a free ProteusVX VSTi with limited EXB editor. It helps to understand params relations. Also it's possible to find Emulator X VSTi with full editor. I parse, got a text representation, than I change 1 param, save, parse again, compare with diff... Finally I was able to parse almost the whole file...
This is a DSP emulator and sounds identical because you use the original ROM. I compared my Virus B with the OSirus, factory presets, the sound is identical
Not only this is a great project but a true cause, the preservation of technology, history.
very true
Disco discovery dsp has had this covered for over two decades…. But.. ok

Insane! I still use the NL4 in my set up. Mostly used in my Push and Extreme Trax projects back in the day.

That's a true Class A endorsemend! Bax and Ayahuasca please keep up your great work!🤩
Legit legend by the way sir 🙌🏻
Apart from showcasing the plugin, this is a great Nordlead demo in itself.
HOT DAMN!!!
looks like this one boxed the ticks for you lol
You need a custom skin with missing and broken keys to truly capture the feel of the OG
There's a bad virtual gear approaching 😎

oh they are waiting for the new video ..... now
Oh my Nord! This. Is. Beautiful! Great song too! Love that bass line starting at 2:17. OMG. You are great!
you guys are doing divine work.. we love you
DSP56300 Team - KINGSSSSSSSS, hope to try this as soon as possible... and many more to come
If you're all so enthusiastic, these guys would definitely appreciate a small donation.
A truly monumental accomplishment from any angle.
I hope you guys land the Nord Modular after this, with a reimplementation of the editor. 🔥
Yes, you are right! Any news about this project? Nord Modular is the mother of synth
At least micromodular, what uses only 1 dsp, and should be easer to emulate
@@lineagefan9648 Thank you. You are involved in the project?

crazy demo and thanks for preserving all the DSP56300 based synths on your list so far

That is just a crazy cool idea to simulate DSP and load firmware!!
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for all the work you all have put it! ❤❤
you know Korg MS-2000 and Roland V-synth use the same family of chips? LET'S GO! :D
