- Johnny Depp's defamation trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard is now in its fourth week, with Heard's lawyers now presenting evidence in the case. Dawn Hughes, a clinical psychologist hired by Heard's team, testified about alleged abuse Heard suffered at the hands of Depp. On cross-examination, Hughes was shown photos of injuries Depp suffered in an incident in Australia and the witness admitted the injuries were "severe."

There’s no way an educated psychologist would ever agree that “Slapping & throwing red bull cans and mineral spirits and taking off your husbands finger tip” when she’s angry is not considered “Reactive violence” or classified as “low level violence”. She should have her license pulled for lying under oath for a check. Heard’s psychologist has been shown to cherry-pick information, completely disregard evidence, and it has been suggested that she hates men, and will do anything to secure a legal victory. She is trying to be a lawyer, probably because she hates that one of Heard’s lawyer is male XD

It is unacceptably unprofessional to decide a someone is a victim of DV based on their gender and based on a one sided story. It does not matter how many hours, days or years she has spent listening to one side of the story, it is one sided. She will never understand how unprofessional her statement was until it happens to her one day. I would never trust to recommend anyone who would need mental help to her.
On the other hand people who are willing to falsely accuse someone might go to her. I mean she will get clients/abusers 😬

I dated a man who has a history of violence against women. We were together for a few years before he finally physically assaulted me. The verbal abuse was already there and started early on in the relationship. Because, I am one that stands up for myself, I believe the physical violence started much later and I left him because of it. I say that to say this, if Johnny Depp truly abused her, there would certainly be other women coming forward.
His past girlfriend’s have all stated that he was never the violent one. They even came to defend him. It speaks volumes

I love how she outright said there was medical records of Amber getting hurt, yet it was just notes and claims FROM AMBER, yet insisted it was fact. Same thing with the bottles. She said it depends on the context, then immediately says throwing bottles in any context is unacceptable. Everyone is talking about the difference between punching and hitting, yet nobody's talking about the emotional aspects behind it. Being hit by the person you swore to love, does more than just physical damage. The message it conveys is far worse than the actual impact.
My SO slapped me once (not a punch, not a hit, but "just" a slap) and I bursted into tears. It didn't even leave a mark on my cheek, but her being able to do that, kinda broke me.

This is not how I would ever imagine someone talking to someone they have been abused by. The arrogance, fearlessness and cocky attitude. If JD had hit her anytime before this recording it would have been brought up by her in this exact moment 100%. Something along the lines of "Now you know how it feels" in response to JD being upset at being hit.
When dealing with abuse victims that are female, you virtually never see or hear them be this belligerent towards their "abuser", even when they know they're safe, much less alone with them.
It's been said, "If you want to know why the person is the way that person is, then you should ask yourself what the person experienced in childhood." His best friend said that he was never violent even when he was at school. And when I hear all the witnesses and other acquaintances of Johnny Depp saying that he was never violent towards anyone, I believe with all my heart that he never even considered hurting AH. What he had experienced in his childhood, he would never want others to have to go through what he went through.

Also, she isn't AH's shrink, she is specifically brought on for cases like these. They talk about AH's therapist in other videos.

the thing is Dr Shannon Curry is a FORENSIC psychologist, who ultimately has a duty to the trier of fact. She was retained for the purposes of the trial. As she explained, a CLINICAL therapist should not testify due to a conflict of interest - it is impossible for them not to have an obvious bias and an obligation/instinct to protect their client. I'd wager Dr Curry's testimony has more weight due to these circumstances. Edit: at this point I'm not sure if this psychologist has been treating Amber long term or was hired for the purposes of evaluation for trial but again her position should mean a less compelling testimony, regardless of board certification.
That's the difference between an A student in Johnny's psyche and Heard's C level psyche

in bullying research, the "target" is often someone admirable. the definition of a bully who is not satisfied by the reaction of her target is as we hear here: the bully is crying and taunting her target, "your such a baby!" She's calling out her target's voice and saying he is not an "adult" because he dares to be complaining about her physically hitting him. he doesn't hit her back. but she verbally abuses him, with taunting language, mocking him, trying with words now, to get her target to react physically. for anyone who has been bullied by a clever bully who is seeking a "fight" this is very triggering. after this, we all need proper therapy from a trained, licensed therapist (not an apologist for a paying victim). such trauma as JD experienced and is reliving arouses the public's compassion. the abuser, the bully is recognized. the victim, the target of abuse is recognized. the OpEd piece is another act of bullying. When a woman is brushed accidentally on the arm by a man, it's classified as a sexual assault. Even if a man raises his voice to a woman it's classified as assault. But, if a woman cuts off a man's finger it's classed as a low-level situation 🤔

I'm not a psychologist, just been abused by my parents and now suffers from PTSD for real, and i now i feel like crying and scared by how this psychologist ignore and testifies to an obvious abuser. Amber Heard, with her argumentative tone, manipulation, actions and attitude reminds me of my parents. I'm so angry how can a 'PYSCHOLOGIST' do this. I'm scared who to trust. I can't even look at Amber's face without feeling scared, angry or disgust.

I think a big part of their questioning should have been about the therapists notes. She keeps saying she based her conclusion on her meetings and what AH told her and on the notes of the therapists made, which was what AH told them. Straight up if I was on a jury right now for this as "one of their peers" I would be entirely in Johnny's favor at this point for defamation. They have proven She was abusive, proven she lied, and proven it was financially damaging to him. There is absolutely no credibility to support Amber as a victim, only an aggressor. Sufficient amount of evidence, sufficient amount of witnesses. Without some kind of major and as yet unheard revelation (that is likely not to come at this point) this would be an easy decision for me.
