The way that the future husband responded to the card is so awesome. I wear a purity ring on my ring finger to hopefully be replaced by my wedding ring. Hope for the same response from my future husband. He didn't even care what was in the box.... :)
Jason, I'm the guy that gave you my ring at PaulVI Catholic Highschool. I want to thank you again, you have created a new me in every aspect. My old self was just a cacoon, and now, I am finally free as the new person that I want to see in my mirror everyday of my life. From now on, whenever I start to have a slight doubt or regret about my decision, I just watch this video. Keep te ring and keep it safe, but I never want to see it again. In that ring, the old me is trapped. And I never want to see him again. I said my goodbye to him when I gave you that ring and I will never look back. You changed my life more than ai thought anything ever would. I would like for you to please tell my story at other schools. And tell the guys what Im about to say. Will pray for you for our Lord to grant you more grace on your journey towards chastity. I'm very glad that a young person like me is also making an effort to change his life for God. Jason and Crystalina are living saints! Because of them I also now understand my dignity and that God has a plan for my life. I’m a victim of purity culture and chastity culture trauma. Not everyone had a happy ending from these teachings. I hope this couple is still ok and happy. I went to a conservative college where chastity and virginity was put on a pedestal and was the greatest gift you could give to your spouse. But I knew so many friends who waited until marriage only to be miserable and feel ashamed of themselves afterwards. Jason, your teachings harmed and hurt so many women in the 2000’s myself included. I hope you and Crystal do better moving forward, addressing the hurt you’ve caused a generation of young Christian men and women.

Culture and upbringing are going to impact your perception of what is modest/immodest. I wouldn't jump so quickly to conclusions about other's standards of modesty based on the fact that she's wearing a strapless dress.

Dads need to be able to tell their children that they saved themselves for marriage... just like their mother should be able to tell her children that! One parent saving themself, but the other parent doesn't... that sends a very confusing message to kids. It's ok for a man to screw-around when single but not ok for a woman to. Very BAD message to send to kids!!
