Good for day sessions, but night fishing 100% need a reciever, unless your camped right in front of your rods and can hear alarm.

@@paulhigham6047 I've got some sonik skx alarms with receiver. Pretty decent really. You get the bivvy light with the too.
@sifishes yah, I practically had EVERYTHING Sonik about 18months ago, only End Tackle (Korda) Bait (Sticky) Reels (14000 xtd)....everything else was Sonik.
@@paulhigham6047 It's whatever you're comfortable with eh. I've got those reels, love them.
@sifishes I ended up selling ALL my Gear about 12 months ago, I had the equivalent of 2 x 3 rod setups (10ft &12ft) with everything for each setup...now slowly getting back in to it.
