I promise this will taste better if you don’t shut the pan off before adding all the dry spices. Butter separating isn’t about the time , it’s about the temp. Keep it low and slow and let those spices warm up and cook off a bit . Then add the garlic, then shut off the heat. Better method I promise😇
I make THE most delicious rice thanks to you and you Dads recipie, I think allowing it to sit after cooking makes it perfect everytime. Thank you Angelica and Dad!❤
@@RowenMyBoatI have to keep pausing the video, but they put the recipe on-explaining each step and what to use. This looks delicious and I’m going to try this for the 4th!😉🔥
Sounds like a plan! And no salt. I just commented on that with words of Harpal Singh Sokhi from India. (he did not mention sugar and milk. Just not using salt.)
I can easily imagine that butter stirred into hot rice, or maybe poured onto hot egg noodles. I have to eat corn off the cob, but I'd most certainly be adding corn to the dish, no matter what it would be. I'm going to be making the butter this week, and can hardly wait!
Wow, what a meal! Your recipes are off the hook. I make your Mexican rice all the time, and judge every restaurant's rice to that standard; not many make the grade, sorry to say. Thanks again for your time and passion.
That does look good. I've been making herbed butters since I was a teenager and learned cooking. I grew up in a family of gardeners, lots of items at my fingertips. When I make my combinations, I do NOT melt butter. There is no need and you risk separating it. Soft, room temp butter mixes just fine with spices and herbs.
I agree but you want to add some heat to the garlic to cook it a little since raw garlic in this recipe doesn't seem like it would be a good fit. I make it this way and then let it solidify in a small dish so it's soft but not melty.
cilantro instead of parsley? Sugar in the water for cooking corn and you got a winner! Change the butter to olive oil and would make a great dressing! Yum!
When we were kids in Brooklyn my mom would occasionally serve us what she called Cowboy Sandwiches. Buttered white bread with Campbells Pork and Beans on top- open sandwich style. We believed it was authentic- mom would not lie….
@@markgordon8146 My mother made baloney steaks to. She would fry the baloney in the pan and the slices would puff up. She called them knee cap steaks...
We have live poultry farms in Brooklyn and in other boroughs. Chickens, turkeys and ducks- I think you are watching Brooklyn movies of another genre. Hee- haw!!! We also have horse stables...giddy up!
Thanks for your help with making delicious rice Angelica - your absorption method works beautifully every time. No more boiling rice in a big vat of water for me - it always turned out horribly soggy!
I think corn is to the vegetable world as lobster is to seafood! There is nothing better than fresh corn, especially with the tips cut off, the milk scraped into a skillet with butter, salt and pepper and cooked down!
@@lindahandley5267That’s an old recipe that’s been passed on from hundreds of years. I learned how to cook it exactly like she did. It’s the best tasting corn ever! Kinda like skillet fried and smothered corn. And yes, getting all the milk out the corn and cob. Turns out perfect every time!
Hi A!!! I have to say how much I like all your recipes. The corn s butter looks mighty tasty. I know I will like this recipe. Your Chicken and Rice look mighty delish too...I will be making all 3 of these also. Thank you... YUMS!!!Great Video my friend!!!...🦋
We grew up eating corn like this all the time in the caribbean. We used whatever seasoning was growing around the house so there was always a different taste according to time of year.
And Heta I’m just made your cowboy butter with the corn on the cob for dinner tonight and it’s amazing my 14 year old loves it. Thank you very much for your beautiful recipe. Keep them coming thank you.

Street corn is one of favorites here in CA. What a coincidence I bought an entire pack of corn on the cob. I was anticipating on making the regular street corn recipe. This one is a winner and new to me it's a must try. I have a large container of Tajin that will come in handy for this recipe. I intend to make some of your recipe and the other ears will be the original street corn recipe. Thanks for sharing this savory topping.
Wow you did a whole ass extra part with the chicken and rice! It's like a hidden bonus lol. Amazing video! Without a doubt my favorite cooking channel on Yt! Been watching a long time and learned a lot. You taught this man how to cook lol. Keep it up! God bless
Sweet corn is best grilled inside the shucks, just pull back the shucks on the very tip to check for critters, pull the shucks back into place and lay the ears on the grill. Turn so each side gets equal time on the heat. The outer layers will burn and hopefully the kernels will get a bit of brown. Peel the shucks back to form a handle for eating cowboy style, a quick wipe to remove the silks, and the corn is ready for the application of butter, salt, and cheese. Not using the grill? Pop the corn, shucks and all into the microwave. You won't get the added flavor of brown kernels but you will still have much more flavorful corn than boiling.

Agree
Agree, also don’t boil the corn, shut off the heat and let them gently warm thru
Agreed! Heating the ingredients will bring out all the flavours
I definitely want to try this recipe, but I want to try it with cilantro. Thanks for the delicious recipe sweetheart.

OMG !! I MADE IT TODAY, THE FLAVOR IS GREAT. AND I WILL BE MAKING IT AGAIN FOR THE 4TH.
Oh my! This is making my mouth water. I will certainly give this Mexican Cowboy butter sauce a try. Thank you.
This would be great as a potato salad dressing on red potatoes
Oh, that sounds great!
Yummy...
Absolutely true.
Sorry in Potato Salad it would be much too buttery! And with Mayo??! Yuk!
@@MsChatstarWell you could always use less mayo or leave it out entirely..
I throw cowboy butter on oysters and put em in the bbq with the lid on for like a minute, it’s top tier!
My grandpa always added milk and sugar to his boiling water for fresh corn on the cob 😍

The complexity of flavors in this recipe is mind-blowing. It takes a truly skilled chef to bring together such a harmonious blend of ingredients.

Most herbs and spices and things like garlic/shallots need some heat for their flavor to be at its best though.
Yummy!
The best corn has thin skin, sweet & a lite yellow color almost white. Boil water, drop in corn for less then 5 minutes. Natural sweet corn flavor!

Yuck to cilantro

Sorry, the proper recipe for a "cowboy sammich" (correct pronunciation) is a fried egg, bacon and ketchup between two pieces of toast.
