- Here are the sights and sounds from the NAMM Show 2020. So many saxophones to see and hear! Also a great place to try new reeds, mouthpieces, ligatures and accessories all aimed to improve your playing. For those of you that couldn't make it out to California this year I hope this video shows you how exciting it is. As always, it was great to catch up with old friends and meet so many people that love playing the sax as much as I do. Such a fantastic convention for music lovers and I'm always thrilled to be part of it! Enjoy!
"NAMM" stands for the National Association of Music Merchants. The NAMM Show is the world's largest trade-only event for the music products industry. It is held every January in Anaheim, California, at the Anaheim Convention Center, and is one of the largest music product trade shows in the world. The event attracts numerous famous musicians, many of whom are endorsed by exhibitors and come to promote their own signature models and equipment.
From Joe Lamond, NAMM President and CEO, on this year's event, “It was incredible to see NAMM Members and industry professionals from around the world come together in such a positive way to experience the launch of countless new products, attend the best industry education available anywhere and to enjoy the comradery and networking that makes our musical lives so meaningful. The NAMM Show campus served as a living, breathing snapshot of the current global marketplace and I truly believe that our attendees who made the commitment and investment to be there have increased their competitive advantage for success in the year ahead.”
Special shout out to Cannonball Instruments, Legere Reeds, Oleg Products, Reunion Blues, Aodyo Instruments, and CloudVocal!

@@BriansThing well don't they have summer NAMM
Sirvalorsax maybe next year I run into you guys "Many Blessing". BriansThing thanks for posting.
@@louie_Da_sax_Guy cool man. I really like the new engraving coming from Cannonball
@@Sirvalorsax I'm going to need to save all my pennies from the gigs I do to get that horn. We shall see what 2020 brings me.
2:45 the man we all wanted to hear
If youmissed NAMM - the New Dickerson Resonator Ligature for sax can be seen on Reverb & ebay -it's resonator ligature
Thanks so much for that wonderful tour!
Mind blowing show. In a way that is easy to see-you play sax! I feel for the trumpets🎺
Saxophone Heaven, Y'all !
“¡Saludos Brians T. 🌷🎷Súper los expositores en está Convención...Hermosos saxos Gracias por compartir !"😉👏👏👏
Were there any Barone reps there? I want to test one out, but there are none at stores where I live.
Good job Brian! Thank you for dropping by Beechler/ARB Handcrafted Mouthpieces. It is always nice to see you. PS - You play GREAT!
Thanks Jim! You're the best!
Thank you so much Brian!l for posting this video. Some day I’ll be there.
Awesome footage Brian! It was great hanging out at NAMM again this year! Hope we can collaborate again soon 🎷🔥
Yes great to see you this past weekend! Let's do another video Manny! We will plan it.
wow, thank you for this amazing tour Brian. It´s like just being there. I´m from Germany. That helps xD
I really wanna go there 😍🎷🎺 i'm from Mexico and i'm searching saxophones like these...
🙂🎷
Thanks Brian, I was totally blown away by the new offerings of the companies. My observation is about the "didn't likes." Currently, 7 don't likes... What's not to like about companies showing shiny Saxophones? Beyond belief!
Amazing to see so much under one roof! I guess not everyone loves the saxophone as much as we do haha!
when is NAMM going to be in 2021 and do someone need a special invitation to be there?
I've never seen this many saxophones in one place in all my life. Do they have something like this on the east coast of the US?
Been waiting for this video!!! :DDD
Why is it that whenever somebody picks up a horn at a conference or trade show, they/we feel the need to play flashy riffs and show off??
Anthony Cincotta i would have play just a squeaking low Bb
Anthony Cincotta I get what you mean but it’s a sax convention. Nobody is saying “oh look I’m better.” Sax players from across the world are getting together to share their knowledge and mainly play. It’s like a fitness convention. When someone sees a bar there gonna see how many muscle ups they can do. Everybody just showing off their own gig. Also riffs and other advanced techniques are great ways of trying out new saxes.
love derek's legere reeds sweatshirt
Thank you👍🏽😉
😎
at 4:15 , can someone tell what brand that is!!!
Chateau
@@BriansThing she's an absolute beau!!
Looking good Brian!!!
Hi Leesa! Much appreciated and hope you're doing well!
Hey Brian, thanks for posting this NAMM convention video, it's great. You know, I m South African musician and a saxophonist, now living the UK and, was wondering how I can be part of this for us living here and South Africa. My uncle, Mankunku Ngozi, played Selmer balanced action for the rest of his life as a musician and, it's not known by many people in South Africa; even the cannonball sax is not known either in UK or Africa. So I was thinking of linking up with you and find as much information of how to be a member or affiliate so that all saxophonist around the world gain access in testing all these brands of saxophone, even students. Even myself I never tested any of these brands of saxophones because they are promoted only in the USA. I have been watching your videos for a while now from UK, and man, you people are great and very luck. Please, tell me what you think.
Learning first. Trumpets.than drums.next are guitar 's .saxophone. sopranos.clarinets .flutes.piccolio.and many ...acoustic guitars. Bass electric guitars.many ...more....violin.
Talks about saxophone 's , Best buys, low cost .won ...
I'm so poor that I can't afford a tenor saxophone, I'm always watching just to imagine I have that horn :(
You will get your tenor one day soon! 🙂
There's a 280$ one on Gear4Music though you'll need a new reed, mouthpiece, strap and ligature. Saxs cost a lot in maintenance so you'd better get keyleaves and proper cleaning tools. Reeds wear out and you'll encounter any kind of problem such as sticky keys, worn out pads, bent bell etc. Pad replacement costs around $400.
@@BrunoNeureiter I don't even have a 20$ right now haha, I have my STM Otto Link for tenor but I don't have a horn.
All I saying is hercules making plenty money because almost every sax on their stand
saw derek in thumbnail. haven't clicked any sooner b4
