Tommy Dorsey recorded and appeared in a film with Eleanor Powell. Frances Langford was in the supporting cast of Ellie's first two pictures for MGM, acting and dancing a little as well as singing in 'Born to Dance'. They became friends and wrote a song called 'Tap-tation' to Frances's tune.
i wonder how Tommy and Francis got along working with one another. Did Tommy get rough and did Francis have to do an early Mrs. Bickerson routine? Just had a sudden thought of that when I saw their names together for this video.
It ain't her face up there, but it sure is her sweet, mellifluous voice. should have more recognition.

Francis Langford, what a great voice. She ran the Outrigger restaurant years later in Jensen Beach Fl. Great food, great voice. Goes together.
