Farming and Inheritance Tax, 4 Dec 2024

Sir Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP highlights the impact of the Budget on farming and urges the Government to reverse their changes to inheritance tax which will result in many family farms having to be sold. At the very least he calls on the Government to raise the thresholds of Agricultural Property Relief (APR) and Business Property Relief (BPR) to exempt smaller farm owners and rental farmers, and extend the transition period to ease the impact.
