I knew when Jake was on his video crying, he couldn’t mentally take anymore! He will be missed by a lot on that hill as far as him jumping and helping everyone! I totally understand the reason why, being flooded over and over your mind and body can’t take but so much! Poor Lyssa I’m sure is not used to being flooded!
Funny that you mention huckleberries. I live on the Southern Oregon Coast and huckleberries grow wild out here. My father in law did years of research, on his own, to perfect a variety that are sweeter and bigger that most. He cross pollinated different varieties to achieve this. They are also known as "wild blueberries". I think they are bitter and don't have much of a flavor compared to blueberries. I love listening to your lives. It would not hurt to mention that their failure to promptly respond may constitute bad faith on their part, for which you are reserving the right to seek appropriate additional damages.
I’m in Tallahassee and we are dead center bullseye for the storm. It is projected to make landfall about 30 miles from my house. My good thing is that we had ample time to prepare, and are as prepared as we can be. Praying for no major power outage this time. We had a tornado hit our town about 6 weeks ago, and we were without power for almost a week. It was miserable. Praise God we have supplies, gas for the generator, ice, water, food and fans. Ready to ride it out. We are seeing the outer bands already.

My good thing is we have just had 34 wonderful days in America. Met some awesome people and saw some beautiful scenery. Flew into Dallas Texas from Australia, had a rental car and travelled through Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada & California then flew home to Australia from San Francisco. We did not have a set travel plan, each night or 2 we would look up places of interest in the vicinity of where we were & decide on next days destination. Were shocked and traumatised to witness a shooting where the young man died, no people do not carry or have guns in Australia. Another thing we were shocked at was we had a sizable win on the tables in Las Vegas & found we had to pay tax on the winnings. Gambling winnings are not taxed in Australia, even the lotto is tax free. You win a million dollars here & that is what you bank. We will be back next year but this time into New York then into Canada.
Hi! I live on Guam, north of you! My husband and I have been traveling to the U.S. mainland also. Our most recent trip was SF and a drive up to Seattle to take a bus into Vancouver. We got a car rental and drove for three days with stops, up to High River. Stayed a night and drove to Calgary airport to pick up family then on our way to Banff. Canada is beautiful! I didn’t want to leave😜. I highly recommend!. By the way, I went to Cairns with my sis over twenty years ago. It was fun! God bless! 😊

I live in south Florida, Palm Beach Gardens. We are on the east coast and are getting very high winds and lots of rain but nothing terrible. The west coast is getting it.
Power has been out for a few hours now in Ocala,FL. You can hear the wind swirling outside. It’s always scary not knowing how things will go. We have run on a generator a couple times for over a week. I’ve lived in FL since 1995. We also have a lot of wild turkeys in our area. As far as Jake & Lyssa I’d say moving off the hill is a good idea for various reasons. Seem to hear a lot of sirens around there in videos too.

Contact your state insurance commissioner they are over all insurance companies, and there is a certain amount of time that the insurance company has to pay for your repairs. They are required to do the work done so that you don't have to be stressed, so put pressure on them. I used to work for an insurance company, so I have had to deal with this stuff
I wonder equally as much as Jake and Lyssa moving, who will buy Jake's house, hopefully there's some family member that is in need of a house, and that you don't have to end up with a stranger that doesn't go well with your family! It was hard to see Jake break down, when the land flooded again behind his house, there is no doubt that he suffers from PTSD! And as emotional as it is to see them leave the hill, because it's so nice to see them interact with the family on so many different occasions! As Jake said, they have out grown everything, their house, because I think they plan on having more babies besides little Jake, and as he said, they've outgrowen their land as far as acquiring more animals! So all we can do, is send good thoughts and prayers to them, to find the perfect place for them! 💞

With your roof insurance claim you can bet that now your home insurance will go up now because of your roof damage. A lot of home insurance companies I have heard if you make a claim on your house due to a storm damage they can and will cancel your home insurance policy, I know several people whose home insurance has been terminated due to storm insurance claims and that is the truth. For example the people in Florida most of them have no home insurance now it has happened to them also not good.
