- My video includes the unboxing the Panasonic SD-ZX2522 Automatic Bread Maker Machine, to baking and tasting our 1st Home Made bread loaf baked in it. The Spicy Fruit Bread loaf made was fun and easy to make during the Covid-19 lockdown.
During the Covid-19 lockdown and snowy weather I have decided to purchase a Panasonic SD-ZX2522 K(Black) Automatic Bread Maker to bake and enjoy fresh bread and cakes knowing exactly what goes in to it, without leaving the house.
This bread maker has a Touch Screen Panel and Display, it has an automatic a Raisins & Nuts Dispenser, and Yeast Dispenser.
This Bread Maker has 37 programs which include Breads, Cakes, Jams & Compote - see the video for more. For our first bake we chose to make the Spicy Fruit Loaf. We made our first loaf using Carr`s Strong White Flour and it was a great success. The recipes in the book are colour coded. The ingredients need to be put in to the bread maker in the order of the recipe. This bread maker has 3 sizes of loaf settings and 3 crust settings, we used medium for both. This video shows us making and tasting our fist bake - the Spicy Fruit loaf.
The Bread Making parts are not Dishwasher friendly, but that was not a problem as they are none stick.
No need to turn out to get fresh bread during the COVID-19 lockdown - just enjoy the aroma and taste of fresh homemade bread and cakes.

Hello we bought this machine while ago first few loaf was good and know never comes nice I don’t know it is machine problem or I do something not right, nuts dispenser almost time stuck and not opens so glad you made amazing bread !!!
Sorry to hear you are having problems. If the yeast is not fresh the bread wont be good. You could try it with a different yeast. I find the yeast needs to go in the machine as the recipe suggests, right amount at the right time for our best results. Some recipes the machine stops and the nuts are put in manually, others use the nut dispenser. Be careful not to overload the dispenser. If the nut dispenser is not working properly I would take this up with your supplier or the manufacturer. You could try the Panasonic support chat line

Thanks so much for the video! I got one recently and even though the first loaves came out fine, the last ones come out as if all the ingredients have stayed in the one half of the pan... Any idea why this happens..?
Did you get the paddle in correctly, what flour did you use?
@@deirdreharness2701 thanks for your answer! I'm pretty sure the paddle was ok and it turned fine. I used organic wholewheat flour. After the first time that happened, i opened the lid and saw that during kneading the dough was on the one side and moved it with my hands to occupy the whole pan. When i didn't do that, the dough stayed again on one side... So confusing!
@@Katnikol We had an issue with the loaf cooking 1 sided. It was when we tried using a flour and yeast mix. We complained about the flour and gained a refund. We used a different flour and our loaves have cooked as normal ever since. Is your yeast ok? Did you check the yeast had dropped in from the dispenser ok? We use instant dried yeast, it needs to be an unopened packet. Did you use the recipe for organic whole wheat flour? If you haven't already tried I would use new yeast and new flour, milk or water as described in the recipe book, but don`t lift the lid until finished and try again. This is my personal opinion😀

Panasonic invented them, that’s why.
Only Panasonic breadmakers, make bread as good as a bakery. Most breadmakers make pretty mediocre bread, not all that good in the texture department. I don’t know what it is, but Panasonic definitely holds the secret.

@@NumaticVacuum believe your very correct if a heavy duty user & finding with names like whirlpool, anko, sunbeam, teso they tend to be made for light duty to medium users or otherwise burnout having gone through about a breadmaker a year over 4 years before switching to Panasonic back in 2016 after being with the competition for 10 years with the things like the heat element breaking down just a month or weeks before the 12month warranty would expire .only needing to buy a latch in the Panasonic. While needing to buy a whole new machine with competition
The fruits come down alone
Yes the fruits drop down automatically in this recipe, but some recipes the their is a buzzer that goes off and the fruit needs to be put in the bread pan manually. I love this bread maker but, one thing that is not so good on this machine the buzzer is not very loud. If I am in another room I set my cooker clock because it is louder.
Recommend purchasing this part ua-cam.com/video/ODZDdSyz6OY/v-deo.html from shapeways for when the plastic latch breaks in the nut dispenser much further down the line .Replacing it with a metal latch.
If a heavy duty user of the Panasonic bread-maker & baking feature in the appliance. Baking at least once a week. In easily repairing & expending the life of the appliance.
Any idea if there is an equivalent panasonic bread maker available in the United States? I can only find this model available on UK websites
Yes there is you have to look up at Panasonic the SD-Z your country letter and then the 25 and also a specific number. Esy way is on the Panasonic home page

I went to shop.panasonic.com clicked on the "microwave /kitchen" category and chose "bread makers" from the subcategory list. And nothing was returned in the results set. It said that there are no bread makers available. Well poop! I am thinking that Panasonic doesn't sell bread makers in the US. I will send them a quick dm in Twitter, see if they reply. I really want one of these fantastic panasonic bread makers, they look great
I had a short look on Amazon USA and unfortunately you are right, there are only ridiculously expensive imports for Panasonic. I found one with at least the but and fruit dispenser Pohl Schmitt ASIN B0839PKH18 just below 100. No yeast dispenser as I never have seen this in a non Panasonic bread maker. Greetings from Germany
