yay!! hope it was really fun!!!❤❤❤
im at camp rn to lol
Awesome❤❤❤
Love ❤
OMG the thumb nail scared me i thought you were selling horse!
Your horses take care of the riders so well. They love their jobs but the concentration on the kids faces is wonderful. I'm glad that their parents see the value in what horses can offer their children.
Spadefoot toad?
The girls are so lucky to have parents that are on board with them getting lessons. Wish that had been true for me at that age.
The little girl in the turquoise handled Jimminy like a boss. So cute!
As a frog mom/breeder, I thank you for taking care of that toad and making sure it was safe! ❤
I love Mushu so much. He is the cutest four hoofed potato I’ve ever seen.
Sweet potato..
I think the saddle-wearing student's stunt was hilarious and innocent. Very "free spirited". What a wonderful day at the farm. So sweet.
They are wild 😜
@@freespiritequestrian They are definitely adolescent girls! I love that kind of innocent energy and fun.😂🤩
is nice to see the young riders so confident around the horses....
After watching & listening to this video, I can really see where a lot of the confidence comes from.
Everything is explained so well, demonstrated, and then practiced with cueing. There are no surprises (outside of normal weather & horse wackiness) and both horse & rider know what to expect.
It's the confidence of seeing what others are achieving & knowing there's a systematic way of getting there with support.
LOL I don't imagine Shae's students say "I can't do that..." very often. More like "oh, give me three months and I'll have that skill"
I love how all the horses walk right up to each student & put their heads down to be haltered. They seem eager to have the students ride them in lessons. You can tell they all love their job of helping Shae give lessons 😃 ❤ 🐎
Thank you!
This video was so much fun. You often talk about your lessons, but rarely do we see them in such detail. Love it.
Yes, because often when we teach lessons I don’t want the focus to be filming but rather teaching. But camp day was a good day to show a little bit of what we do.
I love Ariel
Koa stole the show..what a ham! He loves camp! The girls with the saddle and bridle are just awesome!!!!! Loved that you filmed a camp day😊😊
Koa definitely loves the attention from so many people at once. He was smiling!
I love that you love frogs-and they love to eat flies!
Toad lol
Those kids are so lucky to be experiencing camp with you❤ you really are great teacher and bet those kids are getting a once in a lifetime experience😊
Perfectly edited chaos of Lumi breaking the fence, followed by Ezzy wanting to be first to the food 😂. The two students at the end are creatively hilarious. It's like the next step up from hobbyhorseing.
😂😂😂
Your students must be living the dream
Look at Jiminy helping a little learn!! Summer camp is so fun!! Mr Toad is very cute. You are a good positve role model for the girls!
You are the best trainer, you have a lot of patience with your students and your horses and you can tell that your students are having a great time.
Every one of your horses is such a superstar but Bagheera and Zazu just seemed so patient and willing with the younger kids!
What a beautiful and wholesome day. These young ladies will have wonderful memories of these days. 🥰🌷❤️
Lovely to see the youngsters interacting with the horses & how the horses are drinking in their affectionate attention. Thank you so much for inviting us to horse camp!❤
It is awesome that you are passing on your knowledge of horses and training to the youth. They will be great future horse owners.
That was fun watching this video. It’s great that you do so much with your students other than just classes. Koa sure was enjoying being groomed and getting attention from the girls. He’s such a good boy. ❤
He adored his grooming session!
@@freespiritequestrian I think Koa was smiling during his brush-out!
little Mushu jumping with his feathered legs, so cute!!
So ADORABLE!!! I love your students!! This will stay with them the rest of their lives, they will always love the horses and you♥️ This makes me remember so much of my youth and the freedom of riding…♥️♥️♥️♥️Bravo Shea!
What a fun learning experience for everyone, horses included. The girls did so well with the horses & they are learning a valuable skill. Great job Shae. Linda
All of your horses are so pretty! And they all have funny personality's, i love watching your vids and cant wait to see where Prince Naveen's journey leads him!!!❤♥
What a beautiful day! Thx so much for sharing this. Really brightened up my evening. Your dog was in 7th heaven getting all the attention and grooming. Brought back memories of days teaching my niece to ride and groom her first horse. So happy you rescued the toad. Your horses are very fortunate to be in your care.
When I was a kid horse summer camp was the best ❤
What a fun day with the girls! You are doing such a great service to the community, Shae, by offering these fun lessons and sharing your sweet horses. Thank you for sharing with us here! I really enjoyed all the laughter.
Your students did great! Love the closing girls pretending to be horse and rider! Too cute! They obviously are comfortable with you to know it’s ok to have fun that isn’t on the curriculum. ❤
This is bringing back precious memories of my time at Singletree stables as a young girl all year & especially summer horse camp. ❤
My parents couldn’t afford to make me a “ camper “ but that didn’t stop me from volunteering as a helper to the campers & doing whatever was needed. I didn’t mind that I couldn’t ride because I had lessons 1 day per week.
The starting age was between 8 & 10 years old & went up to 16. ( Humans 😊)
We did all the goofy stuff that your students did & more! Bliss to be a young & carefree horse crazy girl…. ❤
My riding instructor of course had a couple of barn dogs! ❤
I hope they will forever remember this valuable treasure of getting to be at horse camp, being silly, making friends, and having the opportunity that not everyone can afford. 😊
That was sooooo much fun to watch! I love how the students work hard , very attentive have great horsemanship on and around the horses! Plus I love how they the have a time to decompress after a hard but fun day..
lord I miss those days!!
Thank you for sharing what you do during one of the lessons! ❤🎉🎉
@@lisagilbert8472 Horse camp for grown ups, anyone?
What a fun program for your students. These girls will have such a well rounded foundation that will follow them as they grow. How I wish I had been able to afford lessons not only for me but my daughter. Nicely done ladies. 😎😎😎
All your horses are beautiful but Jiminy is especially stunning with his markings!!!❤❤❤Wish I were there!!!
what a fun video! Round of applause for your students!👏👏👏👏 Koa lovin' camp day! (and the frog: "my prince is calling!!!) Thank you so much for the share!!!💜❤💜❤
I love hearing how you talk to the riders, you correct and encourage at the same time.
What a FUN DAY at the camp!!! 🏇 🏇 🏇 🏇 The girls really seemed to ENJOY the day!!😂 The frog was so cute....!! I LOVED THE GIRLS IMAGINATION WITH THE SADDLE ON HER BACK....WITH A HALTER TOO!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I'm 67 year old, and wish that this city girl (want to be cowgirl) could have had a chance to do this! But it's FUN watching THEM HAVE FUN being trained to ride and get to learn how to show the horses! Shae....it's so refreshing watching your channel ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😊
Boy did that bring back memories of riding lessons. I love this, the girls are having so much fun. They brought smiles watching them.
Kia was really enjoying being groomed!❤️😀🐗🐈⬛
What a fun and educational day for everyone! I love seeing all the horses working together in the ring.
Your horses are so respectful to the students as well as the students to the horses.
Arlo with the donut was hilarious!!
You’re giving those young ladies an incredible experience!!
Watching them feed Ezzy and Ariel was adorable.
Koa!!
So much FUN!!
Izzy has become quite dominant...mmm...the apple does not fall far from the tree!
Your training is impeccable... I did a lot of riding in the 50's and 60's, around Mt Pleasant. The horses wanted to do what they wanted to do when they wanted to do it. I was too young to know any different. Your horses could tack themselves if they just had thumbs!❤ Then there's the horses on Mackinac Island! It was a fight to get them to leave the barn. But heading back to the barn, it was at a full-on run.😮 I was only 10. I thought I was going to die. Back in the 1930's, my grandpa used to shoe horses on the island.❤
I love that you like the frogs and snakes😂😂
😆😆😆 all animals, even spiders. 🕷️
😅😅
@@freespiritequestrian Do you ask the daddy long legs where the cows are?
Your herd are so beautiful. But more importantly, they all look in such wonderful condition, which is testament to your love, care and knowledge. 🐎
That looked so much fun, well done on providing such awesome experiences for your students.
Delighted you love reptiles, they are so important to the environment.
It's a great day when Shae posts ✨
MORE , MORE, OF THIS PLEASE. I LOVE WATCHING YOUNG PEOPLE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE HORSES.
Looks like everyone enjoyed their lessons. I loved how content the horses seemed when grazing in the pasture together.
The girls were adorable and had a lot of fun! They were very focused during their lessons. Shea, you are a great teacher!
Your horses are so beautiful, healthy, happy and well-adjusted. It is so refreshing to find another woman who loves frogs, toads, and snakes! (I'm the snake wrangler for our neighborhood, LOL.) . I truly admire your style of horsemanship. Thank you for sharing your animals, knowledge, and experiences with us!
I love love it!!!! Mushu is the bomb!!!! I adore him. He joined the group like a pro!! Arlo is a true gem!! Then again, they all are!!!!!!🐴
Great to see all the horses and students enjoying the beautiful Michigan weather. Koa even got in on the action. I was thinking the same thing when he was giving kisses that he may have eaten poop! 🤣 Thanks to all the girls for sharing their horsey day with us!
You have some really amazing horses and students… lots of hard work. So fun to watch. Esmeralda looks more and more like Belle 🫶🏼
Frog is a sign of good luck..get that new farm! 🐸 🐸 🐸
Those are some spoiled and well loved animals. Kia was loving his grooming.
Looks like the horses and humans enjoyed their day. ❤
Its so fun to watch your vids and the way you take care of your horses is so amazing keep up the good work Shae.
You don't know how much I would have given to spend my days like that as a kid! Lucky girls! Enjoy every second and soak in all the knowledge you can! ❤
Lovely day, those kids are all great.
The playfulness of the students is beautiful how they have been taught to handle the horses ❤
Thank you, Shae for sharing your students learning about horses in this video. The horses just love it.❤❤
That was so cute with the girls and the saddle. It reminded me when I was a young girl doing that. So much fun!!!
Mushu will always have my heart.
I LOVE that you love frogs and snakes. what a cool person
I know your students are absolutely loving "camp."
Lovely to see the young equestrians having fun in the Michigan sun...☀️...i'm 60 next month (proud to be a fellow Leo ♌️) alas my riding days are long gone due to my partial disability....i don't get to be around horses these days, though occsionally (as happened today) i get to see Lanny the beach horse, he's a 23 year old bay... gees i've forgotten his breed! , 16 hands or thereabouts and totally bombproof, his owner/rider brings him onto the seafront and down onto the beach where i spend a lot of time, oh i love seeing him, stroking him and breathing in the wonderful smell of horse....makes my day ....Happy Summer and Happy Birthday for tomorrow ...☀️🐎🦄🎈🎁
Such a joy to watch students having a blast with taking care of horses, riding and grooming and doing funny shenanigans with tack. ❤🤩 Your horses are unique, wonderfull and very good teachers to your students. Free Spirit Farm is amazing place and it's all thanks to you, Shae! ❤
It was wonderful to see the two youngest girls out there, Piper looked like a giant on Mooshoo 😂 what a great day.
The little girl on zazu is adorable, also the little girl on bagheera! So cute!!! Good horses!!!!
It's nice to see kids having some wholesome fun. The girls playing with the saddle was really cute.
Well how great. Firstly the kids haltering the horses it is clear your horses love their job and the little girl riding zazu how sweet do they look together. Thanks for sharing. Tracey (Australia)
This brought back happy childhood memories. Thank you ❤
It’s such a delight to see the students having silly fun! And all the horses have such good manners with the ground work…nice job!
Brings back fond memories of my horse riding days as a youngster. It was pure heaven.
This is so nostalgic, it takes me back to my childhood and early teens before my horse allergy worsened, my favorite lesson horse was an absolutely massive gypsy vanner gelding who stood at almost 17 hands named Lunkentuss
I agree that the day started with a good omen; “the frog”. Although, the frog was in a happy place, the stall, too much activity was going on, so being placed in a safe outdoor area was the right idea. I kept thinking about “Prince Naveen and the Frog”. The timing of these small, but meaningful, life moments, connecting to a larger scene, are to be appreciated for what they give to the present moment; the web of life. Prince Naveen’s presence and life at FSE is now confirmed by a frog lots of people got to see, and Shae got to handle. How telling and accurate a moment. Naveen’s second home is going to be the best for him right now. From deeply loved horse to another loving home with multiple humans to love!
Those children had a wonderful, positive riding lesson today. Piper is so tall and Mushu is a pony height, but they worked really well together. The confidence of the 10 year old on Jiminey showed how much the weeks of lessons, Shae’s teaching and communication skills are so empowering and grounded. The kids lesson plan for today was great. I imagined myself in the lesson on Bagheera; a virtual student. I loved this chance to watch and be a part of a Shae lesson. Everything was communicated gently, with conviction and kindness. Thx for sharing a day of lessons to young people, Shae! As usual, I learned something. 👍🥰💖🐎💖
They’re toad-ally not frogs though! ✌️
That toad is a cutie! I’m sure she’s much happier outside.
Thank you, Shae for sharing your students learning about horses/horsemanship in this video. The horses just love it.❤❤ Mushi is just so cute with Piper riding him. He tries so hard😊
This was so incredible to watch. Took me back to my younger years before owning horses in later life where I would sell my soul to the devil to ride and be around horses. Horses are so character building, fitness building, responsibility building and good for the soul. Was great to see the girls getting so much out of the class and building friendships and working together. ❤
I will be 59 yrs next month and wish i was a kid at your horse camp. 🙃🙃♥️♥️ Love Love L❤ve it !!!!
Happy birthday for next month..🎉..I celebrate the big 60 next month...yikes I'm getting old...😮...I'm a Leo ♌️ loud and proud to be...you're either Leo or Virgo depending on when in August...🙂
@@nikkirutland9814 Happy Birthday sweetie !!! 🤗🥰😘♥️♥️
@@mamabear1260 Thank you...🎁🎈
lol chubby toad hes been munchin the bugs around
These students look like they have fun😅😅😅. This is so cool seeing the kids learn.❤❤❤❤. Two girls there are so little🎉🎉🎉.
I grew up catching snakes, frogs, salamanders & toads! The only thing I'm not a big fan of is spiders! We have an understanding though, they stay away from me & we will get a long fine! This video reminded me of my childhood & how we'd all go grab a horse out of the pasture & go for rides. Many of us had to fashion hackamore bridles out of bale twine & ride bareback but we didn't care! Or we'd see how long we could sit a calf. I wouldn't trade those days for anything! It's awesome that you are building beautiful childhood memories with these girls!!
Thank you again for sharing!😊
Shae, you are such a confidence builder. You are a good instructor and you care about your students and are trying to build them up. The horses are showing so much love and respect for the riders and the riders are showing so much love and respect for the horses. It's such a beautiful scene. ❤️🏇🐴🐎🐕
Thank you so much!
Such a feel good video loved it. Piper rode Mushu fantastically, well done. All the students and horses were brilliant.
such gorgeous animals. enjoy the horses so very much. thanks for sharing.
Your horses are so beautiful and so are you❤ keep doing what you’re doing shea!
What a lovely day. Jiminy must be the sweetest horse ever. Such a kind eye and so patient. ❤
Teacher, Girls, and Horses... Playing around at the end was sweet.
The frog in this video is an American Toad, Anaxyrus americanus! They're the most common amphibian in Michigan, and like to find dark comfortable places to hide (under rocks, logs, equipment, etc). You picked a solid spot for him- they're not aquatic like bullfrogs, but they sure do like moist dirt :D
What a fabulous day for Shae, all the students and of course, the horses. Thanks so much for sharing with us! What fun!
Great adventure with the kids! Another wonderful training session also. Thanks for sharing Shae.
👍😊❤
Ezzy is so gorgeous, such a treat to see her grow, I've always loved her spirit and movement. A gem.
Lovely to see kids and horses together enjoying themselves!
This was so much fun the girls and their horses did wonderful.
I don’t know which gal was cuter! Your horses are all so good. I really forgot how adorable Mushu’s personality is. 🥰.
Everyone had fun! Arlo and Zazu looked beautiful when they were wet and their undercoats were standing out! Kia really enjoyed all the attention! I love all of this one’Kia!
I so wish I lived closer to you! I love that your lessons are about horsemanship too and not just riding. I wish more places were like yours. It looks like everyone is having so much fun 😊 you can tell by their smiles that FSE is an amazing place ❤️
I LOVE FROGS TOO AND SNAKES! This is why I love this channel!
This last scene is so peaceful. ❤❤❤❤
The weather really cooperated! What a fun day ❤❤
Horse camp was my favorite summer activity growing up, we got to use our own horses or the barn’s horses. Such great memories in the making for these campers!
