Utah Autumn Colors Mountain Scenic Driving 4K | Kolob Terrace Through Zion | Fall Relaxation
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лис 2021
- Escape to southwest Utah and take in the serenity of the fall colors and snowy mountains in this 3 hour extended scenic byway driving tour in 4K. In this video we start in the desert and head through Zion National Park, driving the complete length of Kolob Terrace Scenic Road past Kolob Reservoir all the way north to Utah Route 14 (another scenic byway) near Cedar City. From there we head up over 10,000 feet in elevation to Cedar Breaks National Monument which had recently gotten blanketed in snow. We then continue all the way east on Route 14 past Navajo Lake to its eastern end at U.S. Route 89. Along the way we almost get stuck doing some muddy off-roading, we encounter sheep and cows, and traverse a dramatic ever changing landscape that beckons you to keep going to see what stunning views are waiting for you around the next curve.

Hi thanks for sharing, love the way you went off the tar roads and through the back roads, so you get to see how the ranchers live, it's a great way to try and understand a little more about the life in the back country, thanks again, Happy Aussie.
There are some beautiful ranches up in that area, lots of cattle and sheep and fields of beautiful flowers in the spring and summer. Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed very much. Thank you.

@@AdventureEveryDay What month was this filmed, do you remember? Looks like a good time to visit.
This was filmed in early October
It's so pretty 😍 Thanks for the video. I will definitely plan to drive to Utah and Colorado in the falls.
You definitely can’t go wrong! Endless scenic drives and things to do! Thanks for watching!
Utah enjoys a unique geography... sitting on the border between two very different deserts and the rocky mountains. So in the North East you get the beautiful high peaks and green pine forests. In the South you have the gorgeous red rock deserts everyone is so very familiar with, where all 5 of our national parks lie (The Mighty 5). And the the west, which no one talks about because it's a very barren desert, dun colored and sun baked. It's also like 2/3 military bomb range and bases. But there's some unexpectedly beautiful sights out there as well. High peaks over flat lands. Geode beds, Topaz mountain where you can find topaz just lying on the ground. Natural springs all over, old mines. It's an extremely beautiful state with almost everything except a true ocean (Great Salt Lake doesn't really count).
Cedar City is a fun city. Hosts one of the largest Shakespeare Festivals in the US every summer. It's like 2 or 3 weeks long with dozens of performances, and all sorts of food etc. Quite impressive. 14 is an amazingly beautiful road. Any time of year. With snow on the red rocks, or spring/summer green trees on the red. Or the fall colors on them. It's just all so pretty over that pass.
We've been exploring Utah for the last 5 years, and it's so cool to know we haven't even scratched the surface of all there is to see. Route 14 is one of our favorite scenic drives any time of year, but especially in the winter. Here's one of my personal favorite videos we've ever done of a drive we did on Route 14 a couple years ago at sunset around Christmas time: ua-cam.com/video/cBiZixMAcjs/v-deo.html
@@AdventureEveryDay WOW you guys hit that at the perfect time. We don't always get stunning sunsets but when we do they are great. That thumbnail shot is stunning. Yeah that area is really pretty. It's a transition from the more normal green tree/grey rock to the reds of the southern desert. Always fun dropping from Cedar City down into St George as the whole terrain changes. yeah, you've got a lot of the state to see still. The High Uintahs, the Bear Lake area, ghost towns out in the desert. You can drive the old pony express route through the desert. Still have some of the old stops (ruins mostly) along the road. I've lived here 20 years and just discovered that there is a massive cosmic ray detector spread out over nearly 800 sq km of the west desert. lol.

In the fall, Utah's mountains and canyons exsplode with a kaleidoscope of vibrant colors, with leaves turning red and yellow, orange, scarlet, and countless other shades.Fall is a spectacular time to visit the beautiful state of Utah. Colors appear in early September and peak in late Semtember. A beautiful route, with beautiful landscapes, traveling this beautiful route is pure pleasure. Very interesting video for which I thank you. Thanks from Chicago, Illinois. I've visited Utah often on my travels across the country.
The colors really come to life in Utah in the fall time. Lots of desert areas in Utah, but there’s still plenty of fall colors to enjoy too!
beautiful

At what time do you get to route 14? I was wondering about the narrow dirt road bits. We’re they on Kolob Terrace or an offshoot? Thanks for this video!
We reach Route 14 at the 2:03:30 mark in the video. Kolob Terrace Road turns into Kolob Road (then Right Hand Canyon Road) when you get north of Kolob Reservoir. The road is paved until Kolob Reservoir, then becomes a dirt road and can be difficult or impassable depending on the conditions.
@@AdventureEveryDay Thanks!
What date was this drive? My wife and i are going to utah September 11-17 and plan on doing this drive. Just wondering if it will look like this with the fall colors. Thanks! Beautiful video!
Magical no wonder England wanted Scotland y
🤍
@AdventureEveryDay sorry but that was a Glen Coe drive up Scotland I.was replying to I don't know how that's happened. I must have pressed the wrong button lol 😆 🏴

Красиво!
Благодаря ви, че гледахте!

💙
Get your kicks on Route 66.
Doesn't look like there is much litter on the roadside. I live in New Zealand we have loads of litter.
Utah keeps these roads very pristine.
Beautiful video wonderful landscape, I would like to know what camera type are you using, I liked it thanks
What time of fall was this filmed in?
This was filmed in early October
@@AdventureEveryDay oh nice, I'll be driving this road early November
Should be a great time to make the trip!
I know one thing I wouldn't drive a one lane road in the woods at night.
I just might do a night version if this sometime. 🤠
Hi, thank you very much for this video. Its so beautiful. Video quality is amazing. What type of camera do you use ?
Very nice places and very good video. what kind of camera do you use? gracias!!
Nice work! Care to share what gears/camera you used to take this?
Just road and natural environmental sounds would be amazing! Love your work.❤❤ invite you to mine. Just getting started.
Great video, wish there was a version without the music
Great video, but I prefer the simple background of road noise. Could you provide both formats?
I love the scenery and the music, unfortunately about the time I get all relaxed, another commercial comes blasting on and breaks the mood. Then I have to get up and try to stop them or they will just keep running one after another and not return to your video.
Like a trip back to my old home country. Bad music tho.
Ñ
Blurring the pictures is very aggravating.
You ruined it with music.
WHAT TYPE OF VEHICLE DO YOU RELY ON FOR THESE JOURNEYS? JUST CURIOUS AS I SHOP FOR A VEHICLE FOR LONG DISTANCE DRIVING. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
We’re usually driving an Audi Q5.
@@AdventureEveryDay THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY. I NEVER CONSIDERED AN AUDI. BEEN LOOKING AT HUGE GAS GUZZLERS. I WOULD REALLY LIKE THE NEW ALL BATTERY HUMMER, BUT NOT LOOKING TO DROP $200,000 AND WAIT 2 YEARS. THE SEARCH CONTINUES. THANKS AGAIN AND THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS. IT'S NICE NOT HAVING TO LISTEN TO PEOPLE SOMETIMES. GREAT STUFF!!!
Ouch, that’s a lot for the Hummer!
