    Hi🤩Please note that I’ve halved the recipe so every ingredient in the video was halved, but the captions are showing the amount of my original recipe💖✨

      Yay! Have fun!🤩🌈Perhaps try to leave out the paper strips on your first attempt to make the process more easy💖cuz it needs some arm strength to mix them in, about 5-7 mins🤣✨

    How does the paper dissolve into the mixture?

    • @aizahoney
      @aizahoney Рік тому +5

      The water content in the white glue is quite high so the paper fiber can be easily broken down☺️I hope it helps!💓

      yes, it is!☺️ However, the end product highly depends on the quality and viscosity of your glue of choice, have fun!!

    • @sujadutta

      @cait4340 any salt is ok because it is only used as a preservative to avoid fungus/ spoilage

  • @AnonymouslyP91
    @AnonymouslyP91 5 місяців тому +2

    May I know why you added the salt? Because other recipes I know, even the ones I make consist of only vinegar, cooking oil, glue and cornstarch. But I'm curious on putting in paper strips to make in durable just like what you did here in your video. Thank you.

    Can I use the oven too, I don't have a microwave.

    • @aFanofArttt
      @aFanofArttt  3 місяці тому +2

      If you don’t have a microwave, it’s better to pour the mixture into a pan & cook it on the stovetop. Never put it into the oven.
      ***Cook it at medium to low heat, stir constantly to prevent it from sticking. If you’re new to this, try cooking it at a lower heat setting to prevent overcooking, it’d take longer but it’s good for beginners to get a hold of what is happening💖
      Hope this helps!🌈🌟✨

  • @customMadebyACLD
    @customMadebyACLD 3 місяці тому

    Just found this video. I live in Niger in West Africa so a good PVA glue is hard to find. Will have to try it with craft glue or puzzle glue and see the results. I saw another video from Yobanda Art where she uses white liquid soap. Haven't tried it yet though. But will definitely try yours to compare. I need an alternative to resin that is durable for my jewelry. How long before it dries out? Oh and new subscriber.❤😊

    • @aFanofArttt
      @aFanofArttt  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for your support!🤩💖✨Clear school/office glue, slime glue/ kid’s craft glue are all non toxic & most probably just another branding name for PVA glue🤣
      Not sure about liquid soap though, but I can imagine that it won’t last long or durable after drying🥶Pva glue is heat resistant & provides extra strength.
      I’ll be doing a Cold Porcelain Clay 101 vid soon, stay tuned & I’ll explain more about this there🎉🤩

      Hi, thanks for commenting😊Silicone won’t work as it’d react with the water in pva glue and turn your clay into a mess🥶
      As for cement powder, it might work but you’ve to expect making grayish clay and it won’t last very long🤣Hope this helps✨

    Too much wastage after cooking. I use this recipe with slight variations. Another 30 secs would have nicely brought together the complete dough without sticking to the bowl.

    • @aFanofArttt
      @aFanofArttt  4 місяці тому +4

      As for the paper strips, it’ll increase the water content in the final mixture if you dissolve it in water first, n that might result in a sticky clay.
      The water content in pva glue is enough to dissolve it, I used about 5-7 minutes to mix it in, which is about the same time to mix a recipe that doesnt have paper strips in it

    • @aFanofArttt
      @aFanofArttt  2 місяці тому

      @@chynablu11 Hi, thanks for trying it out! When you put the paper strips into the glue, try soaking it for 5 mins before mixing. Besides, make sure you’re putting a little bit at a time, and you may needa break the fiber up by mashing it with your mixing tool. Tiny amounts of lumps are normal, as long as you can knead it at the end✨🌈
      Hope this helps!✨💖

      Right Stephen, u can get it for cheap but expect the end product to be fragile or inferior. Personally, I’m an artist who loves to create things that r sturdy & long lasting. Homemade cold porcelain exhibits similar qualities to Japanese resin clay, which is one of the highest quality clay you can get, but it can be expensive for most. Homemade version is cheap and food safe, a decent alternative.
      Also, it’s fun and therapeutic to make!🤣💖You should try it!🤣
