from 13yo to 29yo i was part the whole racing scene, kart, track n off road (my dad's a cop so i despise street racers i have seen the ugly of it) and i have seen so many ppl just mess up supras A90 that i would take the throtl cut chassis over the other supras any day of the week. PRO LEVEL work, nicely done boys!

Looking good so far. I think a nice touch would be to use the same mesh that is on the bonnet to fill the holes that will be cut in the front fenders.

The exterior is going to come out amazing, i only hope the interior is too, like maybe try to bring it to the 2020's with maybe suede to cover all the plastics and trim and maybe some custom vents, that will be nice in my opinion, but can't wait to see what you guys have planned.
yea i really wish they would do something special in the interior. Something kinda like Tavarish did in his Fast and the furious Lambo.

Hey guys, protect all glass and weatherstrip from the welding spatter and cut off wheel sparks. Welding blankets work well. It can pit the glass. I know first hand from when I modded my Starion but luckily had a parts car for the replacement glass needed. Just my $.02. Love this build!
18:48 they did cover qtr window glass. But ty for tip i will need when working on my Z31
Why no Copper weld thru primer like German BASF or Dutch Sikkens aka. PPG on the inside wheel well? You have bare metal from inside with no way to protect it from water vapor in the air.

Hello to the team from me huge fan and all and i want to give a bit more spice to the project with an idea of mine.SO i was thinking, what if you put some gtr r35 door handles or tesla because they are prety much the same.It would help modernise the exterion a bit more, plus in my opinion it would look cool and clean.I hope you get to see the comment in time so you can maybe add my idea to the project if you like it and it fits your original idea of the modernised version of the faf hero car

Don’t hate on me because I love the build but you guys are going to destroy every piece of glass in that car with weld splatter. Don’t believe me, run your hand across that back window where Quinn just welded closed the wiper hole. A little prep could save you a ton of $$, especially when you’re building a show car.
The glass probably wasn’t perfect to begin with, and I’d wager since they’re building a sponsored sema build they plan on replacing it

They'll remove the glass before painting the car and replace it... they always do that ... if you haven't noticed by now
I always think. Well this tall dude who does all the talking doesn't actually work on the cars right ? And then he does all those patch panels on the car and welds them in perfectly. I'm super impressed. Love the build y'all! Guess your more than just good looks!

Is the structure not gone out of those wheel wells now? Welding in Flat 22 or 20 gauge is not nearly going to be the same as the oem stamped inners that get rolled together and pinch welded with the outer quarter skin. All the 22ga is doing is just filling the gap, no much structure added there. IMO That's why it's so hard to justify a wide body. Just IMO of course.
having said that I will say it's leaps and bounds ahead of the typical hack jobs on widebody cars. Don't mean to be negative at all lol keep up the great work and cool builds 😊
It’s a supra, they have the chassis rigidity of a fish anyway.
It’s a sponsored show car so it probably won’t be pushed to it’s Limits enough to notice a difference. you’re right about losing integrity tho it fs won’t be the same

Great trick for the seam sealer is to put on a rubber glove and dip your finger in water and run it down the seam sealer to lay it smooth

I think you should of used weld through spray paint on the inside of the panel before you welded it, because now the other side of those steel sheets are raw steel.

I feel as though this is a modern interpretation of the Fast and Furious Supra. It will match the feel of the Eclipse and look incredible together.

I just want to say, and I know with how many comments yall get on your vids that it is likely mine gets lost, but the amount of precaution/precision and work in general you guys do to make sure these cars not only look spectacular but are also as safe as they can possibly be (maybe even safer then when a car comes from a dealership). Every auto place in the country should fly yall out to their locations to give lessons on how to go above and beyond.
So you think that fyeahspec is not good enough. And that Tommy and his guys needs a lesson from these guys??

Personally, I would’ve got the exact wheel and tire setup, mount it, and cut the chassis exactly where it should be using the actual setup.. you can lower it using coil overs, and you can take out the springs and compress the suspension to test wheel travel

Just a heads up becareful welding and grinding where sparks hit the glass. I’ve had to replace windows cuz I didn’t have the knowledge to cover them 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
