All those people having a good time watching Stevie play thinking he'd be around forever. Nothing is forever, and sometimes they arent even for a while.
Stevie clean and sober. His playing got tighter, yet you can see when he’s having a great time improvising. Can’t help but shed a tear at the profound loss.
I had the privilege to see SRV live in San Antonio in 1989 in an outdoor concert of over 50,000 people and he was Great!!!! He was in his own world leaning into the wind, his scarf flaying and playing like hell. He's the best, RIP SRV.
Can you recall anything specific you remember about him and the performance? I’m sitting here watching this envying the fact of you getting to see him and the fact I never got to see this man live and never will. :(
@@leehambleton9919 oh hell yeah buddy I know Rory and Gary but haven’t heard much of them. Probably 1-3 live songs. You got any recommendations of live versions? I heard about Hendrix liked Rory
@@stringbender3 Anything by Rory from the seventies is shit hot also their is a new CD by Rory called All Round Man it's two live concerts from 1990 and their is a concert by Gary Moore called one night in Dublin that's a tribute to Thin Lizzy
Saw our Beloved SRV when he first came out on the music scene and also again right before his death in Dallas. Such a great loss! My all time fave that I even named my daughter after him. Long live SRV!🙏❤️
Listen to the album and the song sounds totally different the whole thing about it his improvisation is beyond amazing a gift sent from God and left early to have God teach him the guitar what my son always told me he’s amazing the GOAT
Stevie had the looks, smile, heart and soul of an angel. He had the voice of a sexy scoundrel though, and was (and is, forever to me.), the BEST guitarist ever to grace this planet! You are SO loved and missed by me, STEVIE! R.I.P. I listen to you every day! See you in Heaven Sweetie!!
I saw him in Omaha and he had hired a local horn section that was well known in town. He not only named them about 20 times, but he walked off stage to keep the ligthts off of him while the horn section did their thing. He gave them so much encouragement and credit, it made me admire him even more for being such a decent human being, on top of being such a huge talent. We miss you Stevie, and all the positive energy you put out.
How the hell can this get 25 down arrows? It's a live musician doing his thing. This world is full of sad people who will happily pay good money to go to a shit Rihanna or 1d concert ignoring the real talent in the world! Sad sad sad
God he is so good, takes a simple blues progression, keeps it simple, but then crunchifies it with his licks. I love playing guitar, but I can't even play like he does when I dream.
September 22nd 1989, Dallas Texas... I was there!!! Fabulous Thunderbirds opened for SRV. He opened for THE WHO. The whole city was blocked off. Kool and The Gang were playing in the park along with a whole bunch of other bands. Lots and lots of ice cold Texas beer in the Texas sun. Nice video pixel of the Miller Texas Party. RIP SRV!!!
Stevie Ray Vaughan lived through to receive an Award for being best blue's guitar player that has ever won an award for his music he put out..Stevie is legend and had a solo phenominal singing voice..Rock also was excellent on Stevie Ray Vaughan's career and should have already received an award for Rock ..there late..r you with me..Every one of Stevie's performances were of high quality in the music Stevie put out..great job Stevie
Clapton said (quote as best as I can remember)... "I almost walked away from the stage the first time I saw him (SRV) play - the blues flowed out of him in such an easy way it seemed to me and without thinking, at times in a literal flood. No one, including BB, Albert, Hendrix or myself played the blues like this. I felt intimidated, but in a good way". High praise from God himself.
Its kinda like looking at old home movies and remembering what what's and what will never be again. I am thankful I did get to see him front row in 87.
Wow..the people that showed up for this Stevie Ray Vaughan concert is filled up to the Rim..Sensational concert and the band is fantastic ..Stevie Ray Vaughan always does his best to entertain the crowd..so sadly missed.
Thanks for posting all your gems. I am sure that there are still some pretty amazing SRV (and others) out there being held on to. (Kind of like the REST of the SBD recording from August 26, 1990 proven by Riviera Paradise that came out a few years back that is amazing.) I am so thankful that certain sites remain so that these historical, and sadly gone, moments in music are preserved for future generations to be inspired by.
I used to pick up my daughter when she was twoish and dance around singing this with her. The best version of Mary Had a Little Lamb ever! :D He was so amazing.
If life was fair Elvis, Stevie, and Buddy Holly would still be alive, and Justin Bieber would still be in Canada Flipping burgers and smoking pot. I wish that world existed.
Thanks so much for video taping this genius at work in his prime. I don't know where I was at the time he was producing this fantastic music. Sadly I only became aware of his fantastic music after he passed away, and never saw him perform live. But now he's probably my favorite guitarist of all time !!!
Imagine these people, the excitement, the privilege of them to be there. Stevie, eternal longing! Imagine essas pessoas, a emoção, o privilégio delas em estar ali. Stevie, saudades eternas!
Fuck! How good was this bloke. The tone & sound he got live was amazing. So clean and accurate. I have seen so many guitar players crash and burn trying to do stuff like this.
Bro he was a legend and beyond words how he plays his bass player and drummer said he never played the same and always had something different to play each time I’ve heard 4 different versions of this song live he had a talent and gift that only came from God but he inspired many people to become guitar players including me.
Playing his "first wife" (probably the "saddest" looking guitar I have ever seen--varnish and wood worn off!), chewing gum and totally blowing everyone away. WOW!! RIP, Stevie Ray.
IN MY BOOK THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER IN THE WORLD🎸🔥
All those people having a good time watching Stevie play thinking he'd be around forever. Nothing is forever, and sometimes they arent even for a while.
My god!!! Can do more in one pentatonic box than all of them combined. The best! RIP King👑

That move he does at 5:33 when he transitions to the rhythm section is just epic. He truly feels the music with his whole body.
Thanks
Rhythm to Solo, and then back to rhythm, and then to the verse. Sweet as!

Saw him live in Essex junction Vermont with joe cocker . 4th of July absolutely the best concert ever the man was definitely on his game .
