    Awesome video and very educational. I can’t wait for Julian to send me my Jamaica Mamey.
    Paul, I purchased a Mamey in a Chinese supermarket, and it was rotten. I planted the seed, but a squirrel kept digging it up. I plated it deeper, and two months later I went to plant something else in that pot because no Mamey was growing, especially as deep as I planted it after the 3rd time a squirrel dug it up. Unfortunately I destroyed the seed not knowing that it was growing, even at 6”-8” deep. I only buried it that deep because of the squirrels. When I dug it up in the process of planting a different tree in the pot, the root broke flush and so did the sprout. I felt bad and I wrapped it in toilet paper which is my way of planting seeds, and I put it in another container, knowing that there’s no way this will come back. Believe it or not, it’s the healthiest tree I have growing. If it comes out as a great fruit, it deserves to be named;
    MIRACLE MAMEY

    i just got a variety box last week and tasting the pace , magana and key west, tasty! Pace is pasty and thick in a good way, 36 to 38 brix and insanely sweet, you dont need much for a smoothie of pace it's dense, the guatamalan and honduran family of mamey has some red fruit flavors some cherry or strawberry flavor with the base mamey flavor too but the recent mamey i ate in el progeso honduras on my food tour video was amazing, definitely a superior variety with strong strawberry flavors. great video , my friend !
