Oh damn this I never expected lol.
I suggested this amazingly done series to you a while ago on the first Gallipoli vid I think but this 3 part series is very long. But if you actually complete it you are a fucking legend just saying.
But just saying greatly appreciate you hearing our requests from your subs.
And again if you enjoy this then this video was part 1 in a 3 part series on the history of Turkey which I highly recommend finishing if you are interested.
Kraut has his biases and isn’t perfect but this series is at least one of his best works.

Oh okay this video's pretty much really good at the start but tends to go worse as the timeline gets closer to today unfortunetly... There is lot's of unintentional misinformation but yeah not that relevant in this video.
So about the video, first of all Hail to the Rome! :PP
About the Istanbul. Did you know that the name Istanbul is greek origin? Yeah a funny story, turns out Istanbul basically means "εἰς τὴν Πόλιν" (eis tēn pólin), which means "to the city" or "in the city." in Greek and with time that word evolves to the name as we know today Istanbul. Aaand after Mehmed the second conquers Constantinople he does not changes the name but just use it as *they* read, hence the name Konstantiniyye, meaning "the city of Constantin". But this name is also not widely used as well, actually Ottomans did not use any name at all. They called Istanbul; The Capital, The City or "Throne's City" (Couldn't translate word to word ngl)
About the subject at 40:40. For Ottomans; Greeks did much of the trading, Armanians were marvelous craftmen and Jews made good doctors for the Palace. Meanwhile Turks were only farmers and soldiers which will be relevent in the Turkish war of indipendence
Anyways I'll comment as the series continue, the video's great keep it up, loved it

:D Türkler Constantin şehrinin ismini değiştirmediler. İStanbul Constantinopolis isminin Türklerin dilinin döndüğü şekliyle okunuşundan başka birşey değildir :)
The Turks did not change the name of the city of Constantin. Istanbul is nothing but the pronunciation of the name Constantinopolis as the Turkish language translates :)
The Romans used to say it as ConstanPol in their daily life. Istanbul. Istanbul. It is the pronunciation of the name ConstanPol as the Turkish language translates it. As an American, I'm not surprised you don't know this. I saw thousands of Greeks, thousands of Russians, thousands of Turks who did not know this :D Tragy Comic
The biggest difference between the Turks and the Nomadic Mongolian tribes. They are more crowded. More importantly, they have the ability to relate successfully to other cultures. For this reason, the Mongols could not stay permanently wherever they went. However, Turks, especially Oguz Turks, whom we know as Turkmen, left a mark in every geography they went to. He founded great states. Obviously, the European cruel understanding of history makes the Turks look like Monsters. Very funny :D Turks are one of the nations with the most understanding and tolerant culture you will ever see in the world. But we love to manage. :D Thats the real problem .. WHo will manage?!! This has made us look like monsters in the eyes of the West for centuries. Whereas. Nomad culture... Everywhere my horse's feet step is our land. We expected your understanding...

Anatolia belongs to the Turks and is no longer called Constantinople, but Istanbul, the most beautiful city in the history of the world. The Turks, i.e. the Ottoman Empire, took Constantinople, i.e. Istanbul, on May 29, 1453, under the leadership of Sultan Fatih Mehmet, with perhaps the most powerful instrument of war at the time, the Şahi Cannonballs, and it is still in the hands of the Republic of Turkey, i.e. the Turks.
And one more thing, forget the name Constantinople, since 1453 it is now called Istanbul and always will be. The United States is the last country that can talk about the history of its people, because their history doesn!t go back very far. For example, there are not even half as many historical monuments and buildings on American soil as on Turkish soil. And I guess you didn't know that Americans are descended from Indians.
We die one, we rise a thousand!!! BECAUSE WE ARE THE TURKISH NATION...

Why do you guys ALWAYS arrive on videos on Turkey and can’t NOT bring up the insane pride you have in Turkey lol. It seems like an insecurity you guys have tbh.
Also you got help from some Hungarian to make a crazy super canon which was the only way to break the glorious Theodosian walls.
As a Swede I can assure you I don’t feel the need to scream that my country is the best and most beautiful… Except when Danes claim they are superior.
