Main Kolkata ke ek well known private college se BSc kar raha hu Statistics me (Not ISI)... Sem 3 me Mera attendance nahi tha, mujhe class me kuch samajh nahi araha tha isliye maine khudse padhna start kar dia... Because of attendance they Debarred me from semester exams in multiple papers. Now our sem 6 exams are over. But They haven't gave me a chance to appear for those papers till now though they could allow me to appear for those papers in sem 5. But now when I should have graduated VP is saying to readmit myself and appear for those papers which means they are giving me a year just because of attendance. My family didn't know about anything till now. I've no idea what I will do now. This incident can anyone make someone suicidal. This 75% attendance rule is the worst in college. Specially in private autonomous colleges.

In class 9th I scored 94% In class 10 I scored 91% Due to financial issue I switched from my school to state board college Going to that college was my worst decision ever College timing was from 9am to 4.30pm for 11&12 science and 80% attendance was compulsory.. No teacher was interested in teaching , they forced student to do useless thing in name of discipline.. When i came home after clge i was tired & uninterested in studies In class 11 pcm i scored 77% In class 12 I scored 71%.. I am now confused what to do ..

Sir actually our education system is wrong, they force us to do useless assignments and unusual subjects that have no value in engineering, and because of this we face lack of understanding in our main subjects resulting lagging in our core subjects that are required to get a job or to be a good engineer in the required domain.

in my case, I would say, to some extent what you said sir is right, but my college is decent still in terms of everything i.e, its manageable , the admin tries to come to a common ground for benefit of both parties, but I personally am detached and disconnected to the students and college culture, I cant relate to students , their and mine interests or values dont match so I am not being able to participate in grp activities mostly , unless,its made mandatory and provide some credits. I am not very interested in corporate slavery either , nor do I think I have aptitude to ever run any business, my mental health is also in shambles, so the interest I had in academics has also exhausted, for me I think only the job in a govt agency involving law/security/civil service is the only way out coz thats where I can only put my mind in, anything else I try to focus on , feels artificial and self forced, thus takes huge mental toil. I def need a job ,cant waste anymore years, hope can make it in life
