Im currently 38 years old and I personally haven't experience my pms symptoms getting any worse over the years. I do get in a certain "mood" but I become more of a baby than a b**** lol.. I've learned from Cambria Joy (here on UA-cam) the things to experience a pain-free period and more of a relaxed mood and they definitely work!
    - Make sure you're taking magnesium - so important for relaxing the muscles in the uterus /body, stay calm, sleep, etc.
    - Drinking dandelion tea helps the body during your cycle to eliminate the overwhelming amount of progesterone our bodies develop during this time which helps us cramp less and detox the unnecessary extra hormones.
    - Drink raspberry leaf tea helps our uterus operate and feel better.
I've recently started doing these things and already experience a pain-free/chill cycle so far! ❤

I have also started taking magnesium and added to that vitamine B6 as it has a positive influence on production of progesteron hormone (which helps lessen pms symptoms)

Magnesium and vitamin B complex can be super beneficial. Magnesium glycinate has a very calming affect but doesn't put you to sleep. Just keeps you sustained calm throughout the day. B complex helps mood and energy.

The covid vaxx messed a lot of women's PMS up, but doctors are coming out from all over, saying this is happening to a bunch of women. Alot of my friends said after the vaxx they were getting 2 periods a month, didn't get it at all, or had insane cramps and bleeding. Just thought I should mention it in case it could help!

Delaney - I am a Holistic Nutritionist and speaking from both personal experience and professional experience, I want to tell you to incorporate more animal foods into your diet! I was vegan for 4 years and during that time my hormones were WILD because I was unknowingly estrogen dominant. This happened because I was cramming my diet full of "superfoods" like chia seeds and hemp hearts which are incredibly high in phytoestrogens! In our childbearing years this can cause some serious hormonal imbalances that lead to symptoms like PMS, adult acne, mood swings, severe cramps etc.. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of these superfoods, we're overdoing it as a culture with all of the smoothies and power bowls. My advice for you is to cut back on these types of ingredients and if you're open to it, start incorporating mineral-rich animal products like raw milk, cheese, grass fed meats, and organ meats. I can almost bet you would see a difference. Hope that helps!

This ☝️☝️☝️ Fasting for like 16 to 20 hours and incorporating non industrialized , and clean animal products has been a game changer for myself and my fiance.
I'm way older than you, Delaney, I'm 51. This is the healthiest I've ever felt. I fast for 20 hours a few times a week. It completely stabilizes my hormones. It saved me during menapouse. My hormones go crazy with plant based and too many small feedings. I know you're at a much different age stage. So happy for y'all and Julia opening your box was so special. 🥰

@@dallisbrowning You can incorporate supplements like desiccated liver and colostrum into your daily routine if you really struggle with meat. I know it sounds gross but frozen pieces of liver in a smoothie are undetectable, I actually started with that when I was trying to incorporate meat again.

I’m 28 and LOVE being in tune with my body as a woman! I’m so excited for you to know and be aware of your symptoms. They are all normal/ unique to each person and I personally enjoy the fact that we get to experience these symptoms. I personally don’t take supplements and have never taken BC. Im a major advocate for women’s health, pelvic floor therapy, periods, perimenopause, and all the things we go through! I’m also pregnant with my first and it’s been so fun although big changes in my hormones!

I like this. I’m learning to embrace my symptoms. I don’t like feeling irritable.. but I give myself grace to relax, eat, and just veg out. I also take more alone time so as to not create issues between my partner and me. I make the best of it!

The PMS might actually have something to do with vegan diet. A lack of good quality protein is important for a good hormone balance. Also magnesium, drinking raw cacao and Inositol supplement can help. But everyone different of course! Also think it’s just really normal to experience mood changes during our cycles unfortunately 😂🤗

I 100% feel you on the pmsing!! Especially after I got off birth control, I got off of mine about a year ago & have been struggling so bad but I started taking this wild yam cream/oil? And I have felt so much more regulated & normal (emotions, mood, sleep, & energy wise).. don’t get me wrong I still get pms symptoms BUT it’s not in extremes like it was before I started applying wild yam

Thorne has a supplement called "Hormone Advantage" and it's fantastic. It is all natural, no synthetic hormones, and supports your body by mellowing out the sharp hormone changes you're experiencing. Most naturopaths also suggest taking a look at diet (making sure you eat enough protein ~100 g for most people) and getting consistent low intensity exercise like walking or yoga that helps balance cortisol levels. I went through the same thing and added in Thorne supplements and nightly "Healthy Cycle" tea from the brand Traditional Medicines. We're not supposed to have miserable/painful periods, it's our body telling us it needs something. I used to have the most painful periods and overwhelming fatigue the week before and week of my period. All of those symptoms have now either gone away completely or been dramatically improved after addressing things holistically!

The coach bag is life! Loving the outfit you paired with it. So good! You are slaying ootd’s! I absolutely love the silver kitten heels. 😍 Anyway as far as PMS yes pray for the men 😂 I’m 41 and I didn’t notice any real changes in hormones until recently so i’m getting my hormones checked. A few days before my period my whole household knows about it 😂 Our bodies are different but you can get ahead of it and have less anxiety about it. Bread pudding? yes please!

I just turned 32 and I have noticed that as I get older my PMS symptoms are getting worse. Personally I get very depressed which really sucks!
I am going to try doing castor oil pack which detoxes the liver and supposed to help balance hormones and help. I ordered mine from queen of the thrones.
I am not on birth control (stopped about 8 years ago) and I have a very clean whole food diet. Take some natural herbs daily but nothing is helping with feeling soooo low so hoping this will help. Maybe check it out!

I am about to be 34 in two days and have noticed an increase in my anxiety and emotions and hormones when I’m ovulating or right before my period which was never as evident during my teens and 20s (i was never on the pill). If anything, my symptoms during those times were more of, the cramps and such. These days it’s definitely all that with a dash of mood swings and emotional sensitivities. It’s funny because I’ve been saying to my boyfriend that PMS in my 30s has been hitting differently and hearing this from you doesn’t make me feel as alone. My friends that are pregnant have similarities in their hormone imbalances regarding mood swings, but with PMS there’s definitely something that feels different at this age.

  • @Kelly_Explores
    @Kelly_Explores 4 місяці тому

I’ve always experienced PMS to an extent. It hasn’t worsened over time for me, but my cramps have! My other PMS symptoms are similar to yours- easily irritated, very sensitive, very overwhelmed, and overreactive. I’d say 90% of my boyfriend and I’s arguments occur when I’m PMSing! Like don’t breathe the wrong way or else…. I wish I had better control over it but I’m learning to recognize it then step away, then remind myself these feelings are PMS and not how I really feel! My symptoms luckily only last 1-2 days.

My PMS has gotten immensely worse after coming off the pill for 15 years, getting pregnant with twins, and now being in my 30s. I have no clue if it’s age, post pregnancy or perhaps that my hormones were always out of whack when younger and the pill balanced them out. I also agree with you about tracking your cycle- I think it’s made me more aware of when I’m not my “normal” self! So hard being a woman!!

Never experienced any of these symptoms before then. Please let us know what you end up finding out! I am the same way about not taking pills/ medicine

I’ve had pms since puberty (lol) and from my perspective it’s all hormonal. My input would be that it was a change in your hormones potentially due to age, environment, diet, stress levels etc 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’m so glad you’re talking about this cause once I turned 30 I def felt a change in my pms. I also get very irritable a week before my period & I also become a big bitch which yes def not the vibe lol. Once I get my period I’m always like okay I’m not crazy after all. My mom also went through this & She swears on taking vitamins but I haven’t looked in to it but reading the rest of the comments people are also saying to take supplements.

I have been experiencing pms symptoms so much more since I got off hormonal birth control and turned 30. I get extremely bitchy with my fiancé and every little thing he does irritates me. This happens right before my period and the first day or two. This didn’t happen in my 20s and he has definitely noticed the change. I feel so bad but can’t help it! I always end up apologizing lol

You definitely might just not be getting PMS symptoms- your body goes through 3 puberty stages and a lot of women don’t know but the second one happens in you later 20s/ early 30s! The third would be pre menopause/ that transition. So totally normal but there’s a lot of supps that can help! 💕

Okay, my story is extra weird and probably not very relatable… but I have really bad pms symptoms but don’t get my period HOWEVER that’s only because I have a 20 month old who is still breastfeeding… which apparently is normal not to get a period, nonetheless I still get cramps and pms symptoms and them pms symptoms are wiiiild and so hard to regulate my emotions.

Ask your gynecologist do a full blood work test to check your hormones. This will answer a lot of questions to what could be off ,may be your estrogen is too low or your testosterone is too high, but it will give you a lot of insight. At that point you can make some decisions on what you want to do and I’m sure you’re gynecologist has some good Recommendations even if you want to go the natural route. I had my hormones checked, and was very surprised on what I found out. I was at a point where I was ready to kill anyone who came near me and my attitude was horrible. I am now a completely changed person now that I have the info I need to make changes.

TOTALLY feel you on PMS getting worse while getting older. I’m 30, and I’ve always had painful periods (endometriosis), but the last 2-3 years - a week before my period, I turn into a MONSTER and my boobs get so sore I can’t sleep at night. Never had either of those things 3 years ago. It’s nutttttty - pray for the boys is right 🙏
I will say my last period I experienced no PMS - I’ve been taking these magnesium chews…I’m not one to ever see a notable difference in herbal supplements, despite wanting to, but…I don’t know. I’ve been sleeping a little better too! They might be helping something! 🤍
