Thinking about becoming a barber in Georgia so I’ve been watching haircut tutorials since November, even started cutting peoples’ hair and gotten paid pretty good for it. But this part of barbering has always been scary to me because of the lack of knowledge of white peoples hairstyles lol but watching this gave me sort of a confidence boost in it. Don’t think ima start practicing on them yet😂 but I think I have the theory of it now. I’d love to show you my portfolio of clients to get your feedback on it tho
@@ef6406 there are multiple ways to successfully do this taper. This ways covers all the techniques mentioned in the PSI packet. I don’t remember reading about a specific guard number to be used.

When you say block line, all I have to do is pretty much take out the nape like into a gradual blend? Like no line up?

why didn’t he taper the sides by the ear is that just a basic taper?
the sides were tapered just with a four guard. This is just an easy taper cut to get you thru state board.

You almost cut yourself wit the shears a few times 😂 can’t cut past the knuckles forgot that part so u don’t cut yourself

It’s what my instructor have told me.. You could take only the 2 guard the rest has to be with clippers and shear.

In Nevada we can’t use any guard at all
