Thinking about becoming a barber in Georgia so I’ve been watching haircut tutorials since November, even started cutting peoples’ hair and gotten paid pretty good for it. But this part of barbering has always been scary to me because of the lack of knowledge of white peoples hairstyles lol but watching this gave me sort of a confidence boost in it. Don’t think ima start practicing on them yet😂 but I think I have the theory of it now. I’d love to show you my portfolio of clients to get your feedback on it tho
not all exams are the same, i’m from ny and there are different rules and regulations. cali i heard had a practical exam and written aswell. your state website should show you how the exam is done
@@ef6406 there are multiple ways to successfully do this taper. This ways covers all the techniques mentioned in the PSI packet. I don’t remember reading about a specific guard number to be used.
I like this technique. So much easier!
👍🏾 glad this worked for you

in canada we cand use any guards for exam. but this was super helpful
When you say block line, all I have to do is pretty much take out the nape like into a gradual blend? Like no line up?
correct fade it all the way out .
@tony they are in most beauty supply stores
Yo where you get that spray bottle
Check in beauty supply stores or order online from ABBS
why didn’t he taper the sides by the ear is that just a basic taper?
the sides were tapered just with a four guard. This is just an easy taper cut to get you thru state board.
Is this in general or for a specific state?
This was done for my students in Georgia but this should be good for most states.
@@tjtbPhotos thank you. Im in sc and wanted to be sure.
Are all mannequins re usable? Or no
It’s usable until there is no hair left .
How many exams are we given to get are lisense ?
If you are in GA it’s two exams you have to pass . The written and the practical. The practical will have 9-13 different skill test
Gonna be hard to grow those hair back, poor girly guy😂
I thought nc you could only use your 2 guard
Where did you read see this info?
It’s what my instructor have told me.. You could take only the 2 guard the rest has to be with clippers and shear.
