Hey Mike! Now we have a few trees to avoid:) I really dont like removing trees, We can cut a few down if we want, but we are going to try to preserve them for now. So far, the field is large enough to fly almost anything without sacrificing any trees:)

We will be putting in a high grade felt runway. Best of both worlds.... It has the hard surface of pavement without the harshness of asphault:)

Somebody would have to revive me IF anything like this happened for us! 4 years so far. A local church gave us the parking lot + field adjacent to. It's about 4 acres, 2x longer than wide, & we are extremely grateful 🙏! But it's not 'perfect'. Can't fly anything fast or bigger than a 1400mm.

Our club got denied because of a near by golf corse and a saftey hazard but if we paid $500 and installed a small electrical device the saftey hazard was lifted and we would be able to fly again!

What is a FRIA field. FAA? How does it apply to private land? If I own a farm , I can’t fly on my own land?
FAA Remote Identification Area... as of September, everyone is required to have a remote ID module on their drone or plane unless you are in an approved FRIA. They delayed the enforcement of it for another 6 months, but it is still a requirement.
@@RCINFORMER I’m so sorry just saw this, so I can’t fly on my own land without a remote I.D. Ok if I don’t ? How is that enforced? If I have a say 50 acre farm the FAA is going to come on my farm and tell me I can’t fly. Correct?

They can't, & never will be able to 'enforce' it. Impossible. YOUR property, YOUR business what you do on/in it.
