Originally same as you. And I'm exactly 41, too ;) The Jackson family has brought so much to the music world, there can't be any other people who ever can beat at least 10% of it. A legendary family they are.
I was thinking the same as i just watched it....powerful song...on one hand, you think it could be about a man broken over losing his woman but NO... it's much more sinister....I'm posting here under the hubs name

There are so many truly amazing artists out there. There are lots who even produce music in the style of the 80's. You just need to look further than the mainstream radio. You guys really miss out.
its undoubtedly a dope song, i just wish they made the video a little more original, i mean its just like every other music video, they should have taken a lil risk and made a video that was different ;)
Michael refused to be in the video so they used a mannequin in his place. 3 decades later and that level of petty has yet to be matched. I love you MJ ❤️. #Innocent
I wish I fully lived this era 😭. I’m born in 1987 but obsessed with 80s music - I listen to 80s music everyday, and constantly discovering hidden gems. The talent and creativity back then was real!
Michael Brown LOL....INDEED, I was thinking the SAME thing from the begining of this video. They did things in the eighties that were totally and completely JACKSONS from music and video arrangements (TITO and that DAMN guitar....yeah does his thing even) to choreography down to even wardrobe. They were not only one of a kind but true innovators.
@@adrienplummer921 I can't help but wonder, if Mr. Joe Jackson had gotten his family into film, instead of music and produced horror films, what would that have been like. I really think we would've seen some spooky shit!
(Verse 1 - Jermaine) It was on a street so evil So bad that even hell disowned it Every single step was trouble For the fool who stumbled on it Eyes within the dark were watching I felt the sudden chill of danger Something told me "Keep on walking" Told me I should not have come there (Chorus 1) Baby, 'cause you cut me like a knife Without your love in my life Alone I walk in the night 'Cause I just can't stop this feeling It's torture It's torture It's torture (Verse 2 - Michael) She was up a stair to nowhere A room forever I'll remember She stared as though I should have known her Tell me, what's your pain or pleasure? Every little thing you find here Is simply for the thrill you're after Loneliness or hearts of fire I am here to serve all masters (Chorus 2) She said reality is a knife When there's no love in your life And merciful is the night When you just can't stop this feeling It's torture It's torture It's torture (Bridge) Jermaine: And I still can't find the meaning (Michael: No, no) Michael: Of the face I keep seeing Jermaine: Was she real or was I dreaming? Together: Did the sound of your name turn a wheel, start a flame in me? (Chorus 1: Repeat) (Chorus 2: Repeat) (Outro - Jackie, with the other Jacksons) When you call my name (It's torture) It's heading 'round the flame (It's torture) When you call my name (It's torture) Hey (It's torture, it's torture, it's torture) When you call my name It's torture Yeah, we would have planned It's torture We gonna need... It's torture
Every Jackson had his signature move: MJ had the moonwalk, the spin, & the leg kick (among many others of course), Marlon had the body roll, Randy had the shimmy-shake & the pelvic piston thrust, Jackie had the side strut -- & then there's Tito, who has his guitar LoL.
When Michael grabs the mic to sing, it’s like it’s real to him, like he’s really living the story. That’s what made him so special to me. Not only talented but passionate and true to the art form. He was anointed lol
Thought it would be fun to share this! This is what the Jackson's had to say about the meaning of the song; The lyrics to the song are about a relationship that is about to end, and how the feelings of love become "torture" when a break-up is nearing. One of the members of the relationship is still in love with the other and feels that the break-up is "torture". I think we can all relate to that!
@Blue Victory. I think it is about Jackie Jackson and Paula Abdul. He was "alleging" having an affair with her during this time, while married to his wife Enid(R.I.P). Paula also did the choreography for this video. I remember all of this at the time when this video actually came out. Jackie even missed some of the Victory tour, because his knee had to have surgery from his wife" supposedly finding out about him and Paula, and she hit him with the car.
That's a very surfaced way of looking at this song, especially in seeing this video. If you knew about the occult & the symbolism behind what's in fact VERY blatant here, you'd see that there's a dual message behind the song which is also in itself very occulted.
The Jacksons - Torture [Jermaine Jackson] It was on a street so evil So bad that even hell disowned it Every single step was trouble For the fool who stumbled on it Eyes within the dark were watching I felt the sudden chill of danger Something told me keep on walking Told me I should not have come there [Chorus] Baby, 'cause you cut me like a knife Without your love in my life Alone I walk in the night 'Cause I just can't stop this feelin' It's torture, it's torture, it's torture [Michael Jackson] She was up a stair to nowhere A room forever I'll remember She stared as though I should have known her Tell me what's your pain or pleasure Every little thing you find here Is simply for the thrill you're after Loneliness or hearts of fire I am here to serve all masters [The Jackson's] She said reality is a knife When there's no love in your life And merciful is the night When you just can't stop this feeling It's torture, it's torture, it's torture [Jermaine Jackson and Michael Jackson] And I still can't find the meaning, no no no Of the face I keep on seeing Was she real or am I dreaming Did the sound of your name Turn a wheel, start the flame in me [Chorus] Baby, 'cause you cut me like a knife Without your love in my life Alone I walk in the night And I just can't stop this feelin' It's torture, it's torture, it's torture [Outro] It's torture It's torture It's torture ..

Originally same as you. And I'm exactly 41, too ;)
The Jackson family has brought so much to the music world, there can't be any other people who ever can beat at least 10% of it.
A legendary family they are.
@@ParalyticAngel May God always bless and protect you,,, his love lives for ever
Yeah

I love how 80's this video is.
I was thinking the same as i just watched it....powerful song...on one hand, you think it could be about a man broken over losing his woman but NO... it's much more sinister....I'm posting here under the hubs name
Was this made in the 80’s?
@@giannarocks Yep, 1984.
@@davidl570 oh so did they play this on the victory tour?
@@davidl570 i haven’t heard many songs of the jackson’s from the 80s
One of the best songs from The Jacksons!
MJ's voice is so damn smooth
JACKSONS - Golden Family !!! Golden Music All Time !!!
I can hear MJ's voice on this verse everyday, makes me smile and gives me chills
I grew up on this family's music and I'm proud of their talented family. Rest in power Tito and Michael Jackson. We are happy that you were in our Black American Family and The Human Family. You all make us happy and give us much joy! You put a smile on our face and in our hearts we are truly grateful and proud to have had you on this journey with us! AMEN!
michael was unique.....everything that he touched became gold
Leonardo Rocha yes
Exactly!
Unique is the best word to describe him! My love, handsome, sexy man, singer, dancer, entertainer, masterpiece of Gods, innocent MJ!
Never heard this before. A great track from the Jacksons. Music in the 80s meant so much more than today's music.
Yuzoboy I think you meant to end your statement with ‘than today’s crap’.
There are so many truly amazing artists out there. There are lots who even produce music in the style of the 80's. You just need to look further than the mainstream radio.
You guys really miss out.
yeah
its undoubtedly a dope song, i just wish they made the video a little more original, i mean its just like every other music video, they should have taken a lil risk and made a video that was different ;)
Did You Say You Never Heard This Before....How Could You Miss This .
Marlon's hips had a life of their own.
Angus Jones from all the ass whupings he us to get for being out of step
Keith Howard lmao

So did Randy's, lol
No Mike for the vid so they used an actual mannequin at the end lol
Fly High, Guitar King Tito!! RIHP!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My God, This song never gets old, I feel like a teenager 😝
I am 17 again when I listen to this music.. long live the 80s!!

So good
That Navy. Blasted it from aircraft carrier. When the US navy Invading panama To Topple

Michael refused to be in the video so they used a mannequin in his place. 3 decades later and that level of petty has yet to be matched.
I love you MJ ❤️. #Innocent

Why he refused?

Ludicrously but also awesomely 80s, and Michael's voice was magical.

Could'nt get any better than this era.
That is a matter of opinion.
Damn right we have best movies, music and tv series and also we have mtv when mtv was all but music videos not that 16 and pregnant crap
No me
I wish I fully lived this era 😭. I’m born in 1987 but obsessed with 80s music - I listen to 80s music everyday, and constantly discovering hidden gems. The talent and creativity back then was real!
The Jacksons could do no wrong in 1984. even LaToya had a hit that year.
LATOYA!
Michael Brown Even Cher won an Oscar!! CHER!!!--Undercover Brother
Yes! LaToya had Hearts Don't Lie with Howard Hewitt of Shalamar.
lol....ikr.
Older sister Rebbie had a hit song that year titled "Centipede." It was written and produced by Michael.
RIP Tito and Mike 🙏🏿
Michael's voice is so magical. The one and only !!!!
This video scared the HELL outta me as a kid. That damn eyeball in his hand! Spooky. Revisiting....I STILL get chills. 2020!
Especially 2020 what we know
Used to scare me too
This video freaked me out too...now i find it hilarious
YES!!! I made the same comment. The eye in his hand, those spiders...my inner child is saying "i still don't like this!!!"
@@adrienplummer921 I can't help but wonder, if Mr. Joe Jackson had gotten his family into film, instead of music and produced horror films, what would that have been like. I really think we would've seen some spooky shit!
(Verse 1 - Jermaine)
It was on a street so evil
So bad that even hell disowned it
Every single step was trouble
For the fool who stumbled on it
Eyes within the dark were watching
I felt the sudden chill of danger
Something told me "Keep on walking"
Told me I should not have come there
(Chorus 1)
Baby, 'cause you cut me like a knife
Without your love in my life
Alone I walk in the night
'Cause I just can't stop this feeling
It's torture
It's torture
It's torture
(Verse 2 - Michael)
She was up a stair to nowhere
A room forever I'll remember
She stared as though I should have known her
Tell me, what's your pain or pleasure?
Every little thing you find here
Is simply for the thrill you're after
Loneliness or hearts of fire
I am here to serve all masters
(Chorus 2)
She said reality is a knife
When there's no love in your life
And merciful is the night
When you just can't stop this feeling
It's torture
It's torture
It's torture
(Bridge)
Jermaine: And I still can't find the meaning (Michael: No, no)
Michael: Of the face I keep seeing
Jermaine: Was she real or was I dreaming?
Together: Did the sound of your name turn a wheel, start a flame in me?
(Chorus 1: Repeat)
(Chorus 2: Repeat)
(Outro - Jackie, with the other Jacksons)
When you call my name
(It's torture)
It's heading 'round the flame
(It's torture)
When you call my name
(It's torture)
Hey
(It's torture, it's torture, it's torture)
When you call my name
It's torture
Yeah, we would have planned
It's torture
We gonna need...
It's torture
Tito was the man on the guitar....always liked his riffs
Every Jackson had his signature move: MJ had the moonwalk, the spin, & the leg kick (among many others of course), Marlon had the body roll, Randy had the shimmy-shake & the pelvic piston thrust, Jackie had the side strut -- & then there's Tito, who has his guitar LoL.
Tarantulisimo and jermaine has his bass lol
Marlon got the leg kick 2 a li bit
But both marlon & Michael dance a like a li bit
Randy Johnson marlon was the choreography in the jackson 5/jacksons
Tarantulisimo lol Tito Had his guitar.. im done

facts
It worked for "Somebody's Watching Me" by Rockwell
@@hezamachine Michael and Jermaine sung the chorus
RIP Tito, we love you ❤️
Thought it would be fun to share this!
Do you mean Michael Jackson and Diana Ross ?
Irina Kypriou he never dated her
@Blue Victory.
If you knew about the occult & the symbolism behind what's in fact VERY blatant here, you'd see that there's a dual message behind the song which is also in itself very occulted.
johnsonzz2016 Yes I believe this story is true as I’ve heard it over the years , Probably how PAULA got the job for Director of the video

Yes! This is a blatant illuminati ritual. So much symbolism. Thanks for the actual verses and chorus. All I ever understood was the hook "Torture"

This cold ass jam is underrated. 2020. Covid-19. RIP MJ and Kobe Bryant

The Jackson family are talent'ed but Michael is the best of all them.He is one and only greatest singer, dancer and entertainer of all time. The king of music and dance. Rip.King we miss you.😭 Greetings from germany.
Ozlem Yildirim Micheal learned from James Brown. Without James Brown Hip Hop and Pop wouldn't exist.
Perry Saunders
Pero también es cierto que el creo la mayoría de sus pasos de baile.
With Janet right after him.
just because someone learned from someone means nothing...
Don't get too excited Ozlem. There are many musicians and singers that Micheal Jackson can't even get close to their talent level, like James Brown that Perry mentioned, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Nat King Cole, ETC. I can go on and on.
Can't believe I actually forgot how good this song is. This is when I remember them together, you could tell Micheal loved it, you hear it on his voice. Nothing like being with your fam. And Tito's guitar work in this was amazing, he doesn't get the respect and credit he deserves.
Only in the decade of 1980s we can find this kind of masterpiece videos of all time... The Jacksons forever!
I hear you!
Complete with a statue of Michael, thinking nobody would notice. 🙄
