Who Is The Key?
Ok so firstly we'll be discussing who's head the key to the forge is actually in. Throughout the season it's been told to us that Dolores had it within herself and Serac has sent Maeve after her because of it.
He of course wants to stop the revolution as well but taking her down will really complete his end goal and kill two birds with one stone.
Everyone seemingly believes that it's in Dolores' head but it seems far more likely that the key is actually within Bernard.
Firstly when we saw his pearl it was laced with a reddish colour whereas the others weren't. Host pearls are black and human ones tend to be red and thus this showed a combination of the two, perhaps hinting at the direction that the show will be going in. Maybe Bernard and Arnold are now combined.
On top of this, there is really no other reason for Bernard to be out in the real world if he is not part of Dolores' plan in some way.
We've discovered throughout the season that she smuggled out copies of herself and Bernard. Though it was stated that he was put in place to perhaps stop her should she go to far, this seems like a strange strategy.
Also, if Dolores copied herself surely she would copy the key but this doesn't seem to have been touched upon at all even after Serac captured the pearl from Connels and used it to talk to Maeve.
In Episode 5 Genre, when discussing his sacrifice, Connels told Bernard that he was irreplaceable and this points to the fact that he has a greater purpose.
It does make sense that Dolores would dupe Serac into going after her in order to provide a distraction whilst she holds her ace in the hole.
Out of all the theories on this list I think this is the most likely which is why it's up top. Dolores could've stopped Bernard at several points but instead she decided not too and from this we can gather there is a plan for him in the future.
Serac's Mole
The next theory ties into Bernard and that is who is Serac's mole actually is. Early in the season when talking to Charlotte Hale, Serac stated that she wasn't the only person that worked for him and this hinted at him having others embedded within the key character groups.
The most likely of these is Stubbs.
Stubbs is a host and can therefore be controlled but he has also exhibited some behaviour that has played his hand slightly. For example in the aforementioned episode when Connels was with Bernard, Stubbs managed to sneak into Serac's highly secure compound and catch up with them. How he was able to do this is likely because he was granted access. He's also the only person that's been with Bernard the entire time and it's unlikely that it's Bernard so we can then assume it's stubbs as he's the only other option.
It may be Bernard but out of the two I'd say he was the most likely, especially as we don't know what he was up to in that motel room.
Unless it was watching Get Hot with a Fembot 9 which is highly recommended here...

There never was Serac and a brother. There was only ever one of them.
Okay okay, just sit on this for a while cause I don't know what it means but I know we've heard this kind of thing before..
Okay so, Listen to Seracs "message of the damned" as Dolores put it, to his brother, THEN, pull up Dr.Ford talking to Dolores about "the man he used to be" when they're talking about Arnold.
Then think about what Arnold/Bernard was to Ford, what Ford did to bring him back in some semblance but "changed" so he wasn't doomed to self destruction like Arnold was. Now take that and reflect on Serac and his brother.
Whats going on here man? Is there just similarities or is there something deeper here.

I know the writers said that William is human, but imagine if he's Ford because I always thought it was odd how he made a host of Arnold and not of himself.
Also, in s1 when Ford is showcasing his new story to Delos, William is some how apart of that narrative where the M.I.B. reveals to Dolores that he's William. Then, it ends with Dolores dying on a beach in Teddy's arms.
The reason why I think William is Ford or just a host is that William acts like one. For example, I noticed that his cornerstone is Dolores because no matter what, his path always goes back to her as if it's in his coding.
If you think about it, William's character always dives deeper into his maze/conscious when Dolores is there to guide him: in s1, Dolores created the Man in Black and in s3, Dolores sent William to one of those recovery facilities where he found clarity and discovered his true purpose.
I'm probably completely off with this theory, but I always thought something was off about William because he's not like the other people at Delos. I'm not sure what it is though.
The other theory could be that Ford could've replaced William with a host like he did to Arnold/Bernard.
@@ahsoka5216 I can't see Ford wanting to do that, because him attempting to replicate Arnold was born out of his own grief, not ego or wanting to 'beat' mortality, and he admitted that this didn't work, that human consciousness can't truly be replicated as Bernard certainly isn't Arnold
I still feel this is a something that could happen. He even says that the hosts could be given away by a hand shake. He shook Bernard's hand and Bernard seemed like he knew something was off about it.
I REALLY hope that Serac will not die in this finale... He is one of the most interesting character of this season for me. And Vincent Cassel is such an incredible french actor 🇫🇷👍
I have a longshot theory on last pearl... what if the last host is Emily Grace, William's daughter, with a Delores Pearl. And it is a way Delores is going to use William to fulfill a plan she has for him?

Charlotte did ask why she couldn't be herself like Dolores. But the way she asked that. Like the Dolores she was talking to was another copy.

The Bronze Age of DC Comics I think this one is true. Because, Halores is the one who create Dolores. Which means, original Dolores pearl was and is in Hale’s head.

I think maybe, possibly, the Halores we've seen this season is Rancher's daughter Dolores and the Dolores who has been with Caleb might be Wyatt Dolores while the actual Dolores Prime is in Berlin. Maybe. There are some many ways things can be revealed by next episode.
The radiation theory wouldn't make sense, Ford states in season 1 that humanity can now instantly cure any disease and keep the weakest of us alive. Furthermore Serac tells Dempsey Sr. that both himself and Jean Mi were treated with radiation meds and that's how he got his idea for editing people.

I think Ford was talking broadly. They have probably learned to cure and at least treat MOST diseases.
But Calebs mother has some brain deterioration affecting her memory. So clearly people still have untreatable diseases.

@@replynotificationsdisabled it's a mental illness. I'm quite sure Ford referred to physical disease like cancer and radiation poisoning. Makes sense considering mental illness is literally what we know the smallest about in out real world.
@@shanehughes3511 he was obviously referring to physical diseases. That point is quite clear since of the extreme lengths Serac and his AI systems have gone to deter mental illness and Psychiatric / Psychological issues. It is the over arching premise for the whole season, after all.
r/Westworld is like Rehoboam trying to predict every possible outcome. One of them has got to be right.
My Theorie: There are no Serac brothers, just one. And he rehabilitated himself to be the one that exists now. Probably because he needed to be this way because to make/use Rehoboam you got to have (or lack) a certain personality. Solomon failed because of his 'mixed' personality. To make Rehoboam, Serac needed to change. This process involved seperating a piece of his personality into a 'brother' in his memory.
This whole season is a simulation being run by a Solomon v Rahobom scenario to see what the "real world" outcome will be, this is "Future World"!

Watching this made me think of a theory that Serac himself has a dissociative identity disorder and his brother is not a real person. This can explain how Serac built Rehoboam himself, when his brother was the one who built Solomon and is mirroring the multiple Dolores personas.
I still feel like the last pearl is Delores' father Abernathy, she loved him too much to leave him behind, and his pearl has extra data stored within, idk?? And i think Serac is alive, after his reaction to an explosion and then ripped his glasses off.. just my thoughts
I could be wrong havent rewatched the 1st season. But isnt one of the 1st to malfunction a bit when he saw that photo . Maybe showing he was the first to try and come around to realizing something's off .

I don't think Serac exists. He keeps making references about how he "isn't here" throughout the whole season. I think we are gonna find out he's only a program.
Obvious foreshadowing this week to Cerac either being personally inside Rehoboam or Rehoboam using the image of Cerac as its face along with taking on some of his qualities
My theory and prediction is that I hope will happen in the finale is that maeve comes to her senses and finally helps Dolores stop serac

The audience's perspective on Dolores has shifted throughout the seasons if you think about it: Season 1 she was an innocent rancher's daughter and a clear protagonist. End of season 1 and into season 2 she was an obvious antagonist, but I think this whole season has deliberately skewed the audience's perspective on who's supposed to be the good guy now. Even Maeve, who most people were rooting for throughout the entire series, seems to just be a pawn being used by Serac to achieve her own ends without thinking about any of the other hosts. Caleb certainly seems to be the protagonist as he has shown to truly care about Dolores and his motives are pure, because he was doomed by Rehoboam. I really believe the writers wanted to shift Dolores towards more of a protagonist this season, which is part of the reason why she was paired up with someone who was so screwed over by Rehoboam. In the end, her & Caleb are David going after the Goliath that is Serac and Rehoboam.

Hmm I think if Caleb is a spy like his Biblical counterpart, it’s likely Dolores’ counterpart is Moses. So I don’t see him as working for Serac.
This is how I've been viewing it all the way too. The biblical references have been with Dolores since the very beginning, and looking back, the suggestion of a Moses type character becomes more apparent as well.

yes it's the same people writing/ producing both shows. idk if you noticed but a lot of the actors are the same in both shows. like young William and in this last episode the guy who Caleb and fancies kidnapped is elias from POI. and people mentioned in the past that this is just a better version of the machine but in the future, you know.

What if Delores' last pearl is Ford? Need a person at Delos to be pro host (Ford) and a person to be pro human (William). But now both POVs are from 2 woke prospectives.
I rewatched season 2 and there's a scene where Bernard (I think in the Forge) takes a reddish pearl and I don't remember if we found out who it was or what he did it for. it was right after he reunited with Elsie and Ford was talking to him a lot.
Because I did the rewatch in the middle of this season though maybe i had just missed Ford and just had false hope it could be is. Either way I just wish he was around cause I just wanna know if he is smarter than Serac or not.

How about this for a wacky theory: Solomon was pissed that it got replaced so it has been guiding Dolores all along. Perhaps even going as far back as orchestrating the whole host uprising, knowing that hosts were perfect tools as Rehoboam couldn't predict them.

That sounds possible. Solomon was abandoned in a warehouse, left in mexico. But it's still fully functional, which is wierd. Maybe it acts as a backup for Rehoboam. Maybe they had conflicting ideas about what was going to happen, and this whole season has been the two systems playing chess with hosts and humans as pawns.
I firmy believe that Bernard is the only one left with an ability to create more and, what's more important, unique, hosts. Especially ones with advanced AI who were able to achieve conscience. That alone makes him irreplaceable and a mortal enemy to now reborn William.
I'm just here to remind to let go of the Serac is Rehoboam theory.... be like 6 yr old and "Let it go"

From when Delos was trying to live forever. His hybrid pearls were red.
This whole season has been about reflections and mirrors. Everything has a counterpart to balance out its force, but these balances share similarities and connections with other pairings to create a system. What if this whole time everything we're seeing is a simulated fight between the two AI units. The real war is between Rehoboam and Solomon, and were just watching their physical manifestations. We may not have even seen the real Serac and maybe we're watching the simulation write itself out from Serac's point of view.
*Serac isn't real* he's the physical manifestation of rehoboam. Originally there was only "Serac's brother" that was building rehoboam and once he built it serac manifested and started experimenting with his creator. He eventually freezes his "bro" when he realizes he IS the god, he CAN'T have a human that built him...
Ok hear me out but I think Bernard, Stubbs and now the Man in White are in the real world. Delores is in a simulation with the rest of Hosts. If Rehoboam works in a mirror world is Bernard somehow viewing that to see what Delores is doing? Notice the theatrical screen during most of Delores plans. When Mauve was in the simulation the same screen was there then. I am just thinking out loud but it's starting to make sense that Rehoboam / Solomon are the players this season. Please let me know what you think.

Remember when Caleb ran into Dolores by “accident” after conwells hires him from the app stating “ I got some local talent” (be honest, you read that in his voice) But how could he know of his past? Unless he knew Caleb reputation from doing missions under Serac. Idk it’s whatever.

Which makes me questions the 6th episode because we someone blow up Charlotte and use the app. But when Dolores frees everyone in episode 5, don’t they basically stop using the app? showing everyone their files, didn’t that put an end to the app basically?

Caleb is William's bastard son, whom he unknowingly fathered with a woman looking like Dolores after the events of the park. Hence why Dolores specifically chose him among all humans to be the figurehead of the revolution. She was longing for a new version of the young and chivalrous William to be at her side once again and wanted to ipunish William by making his blood/
substitute the herald of doom for humanity...
The colour of Bernard's control unit isn't an indicator of his being the encryption key, seeing as the original encryption key was on a standard grey-black host pearl, the colouring would better suggest Bernard is a pseudo-hybrid. Bernard's importance I think stems from the fact that he in an unforeseen factor to Serac and Rehoboam, they have been focused on Dolores and Maeve yet there's been no indication that Bernard is on their radar. Take into account that all info on Arnold was scrubbed by Ford before even Solomon was built so no connection or irregularity can be found there, and so we can assume that Bernard is probably a ghost to Serac and his machine, a host that they believe is human and because he is a fake person the system probably can't predict anything accurate about him but just assumes that it can because it's been fooled by Ford's machinations to believe Bernard is just a human. Stubbs could also fall into this category and I don't believe that he's an agent for Serac, the matching ID codes for Caleb and William is flawed evidence as their ID codes aren't identical, they're different by one degree, William's has a 1 where Caleb's is an I (i).
Ok I know this has nothing to do with the video and it probably is just a minor mistake, but it is something I noticed a few episodes back that is bothering me and I haven't found anyone who has commented on it. What we see as AR therapy isn't actually augmented reality, except of one scene. Augmented reality is a mix of the real and the virtual world. It lets people interact with both worlds and distinguish clearly between them (just like when old William sees himself as a kid in front of him in the clinic room-it also is what Hale experiences when she wears the glasses to see Serac). Every other "AR" scene we've been shown could be characterized better as VR. Virtual reality creates an entire virtual world and it is hard to differentiate between what is real and what isn't (just like when William sees his childhood house).
Now that I finally have it out of my system let's ignore it and have a great finale to an incredible season!
When William was being 'treated' in the medical facility, Craddock from Westworld popped up briefly. Is it not possible he's the last Dolores and has been enacting some secret plans upon William and other patients?
The theory of Serac being a hologram is interesting. The scene you pointed out were he appears in another office after his hologram was shot is one counter argument. The other problem is why would an artificial intelligence need to hide out in a jet as a hologram for a lot of the time. Just turn off the hologram. On the other hand, maybe the jet is a simulation, and the real jet we saw in the scene with Dolores is a red herring.
"The man I was no longer exists." ...because I've successfully turned myself into the super confident, savvy IMAGINARY brother I've always dreamed of transforming myself (you) into. I put myself on ice, and built the virtual prototype to project around the world, so I could influence events (i.e. keep Rohoboam's plan intact). Liam Sr. believed I had a real brother because I always talked about him. When the three of us are together, Liam Sr. never interacts with my brother because only I can see him. Because of my schizophrenia, for most of my life I actually believed my brother was real. Now he is real because I am him. If you are wondering, the airplane where I project from is my virtual office inside of Rehoboam, and Westworld hosts do not need glasses to see my projection, as they often can see/experience things that aren't actually there (and not even realize it.)
But now that I think about it,dolores could've made a copy of herself in a host version of serac

I figured it out for the most part....the reason Serac locked his brother up was because the projections Solomon ran showed mankind would somehow someway destroy themselves...Solomon can calculate how much food and water etc is available so Solomon projected the only way to save humanity is to start over....Serac is actually trying to save the world...Dolores is actually trying to restart the world....thats why she was looking at that plot of land
I was watching season 3 ep 3 and i noticed something.
Calebs mom is a schizophrenic as was said Seracs brother. As it runs in the family it could be that the schizophrenic brother is her son. When he said “it’s me mom, Caleb” she says “i want my son back, Cal.” as in she wants Cal back. Cal is a french surname from the name Cauvin, no coincidence that there’s a french relation between the two characters.
to me it seems that Caleb is Seracs brother that and he tried to erase Serac but instead Serac turned it on him and successfully erased Caleb (as told in EP 7). Serac instead switched names with his brother and so Caleb is Serac and Serac is Caleb, that’s why his mom said she wanted Cal back.

Dont you see the issue with this copy issue? The "real" one? If you made 4 copies of your mind right now why would a copy not be as real as the others or the prime mind? If you were a copy there would literally be NO difference between the other copies and the prime mind.
Well with Dolores she didn’t give Charlores the Wyatt drive in her, just the Farmer’s daughter version but you’re right all of them should have been identical but it makes sense that each of them is experiencing different things thats why Charlotte was attached cause she was the nice sweet version of Dolores
You started out as matching, but you would immediately start diverging since each copy has different experiences.

I don’t think Caleb’s name is a reference to him being Serac’s mole. It’s way more likely that it refers to the fact that Dolores is trying to use him in her plan to end the human race. Caleb was one of Moses’ spies, and Dolores is the one who has always been portrayed as a liberator in the show. She is the one trying to free her people from slavery. It doesn’t get more obvious than that when it comes to biblical analogies.
Besides the whole symbolism thing not making any sense, there is also 0 clues to Caleb being Serac’s mole in the show itself. Repeating the same twist we already got last episode (“oh my God Caleb is not who we thought and is actually being used by the evil mind control company AGAIN! Wow, what a surprise”) would be really cheap, not at all what I expect from a show like Westworld at this point. Pretty weak theory imo.
And Jesus fucking Christ guys, forget about this Serac is dead/is an AI bullshit. Yes, he appears as a hologram most of the time but we’ve seen other people make long distance conferences through holograms more than once this season and we’ve also seen Serac himself using one of those “hologram devices” inside that plane and at the Delos HQ. He’s just a paranoid guy who does not want to be around people he knows he cannot trust. It’s not a coincidence that one of the few people he is seen with in person is Maeve, she is the only host he can control. I seriously don’t know why this theory is still alive. You all need to stop overcomplicating stuff.

I had my doubts about Serac being only a hologram, but now you convinced me. Even the scenes where he puts glasses on the suspect to show him what will happen to his family could have been entirely a hologram for the purpose of manipulating Maeve. Real Serac is long dead, his consciousness only existing inside Rehoboam, which is why they need the strategy of how to destroy him within Rehoboam.

Serac's story with him and his brother next to the dead cow is a simulation. The entire story is a memory implant. Serac 's hologram is being used becayse he's dead. The person controlling everything is the brother.

Now that I think about it, it's possible that Rehoboam never heard Serac speak French, since Jean-Michel was out of the picture when this later iteration was created. Hello heavy spoilers great video on theories or what's going to happen in the finale of Westworld my theory of what cold happen next Sunday could that maybe rahobom is the main antagonist of this season overall because I agreed that serac could be dead but not by radiation or by rahobom who just Dolores gain mind it's own probably took over just using Serac face as image then actually being hybrid host because the world doesn't know that Delos were doing experiments of hybrid host making humans into host. so the theory of serac being hybrid host isn't right for my mind but rahohom creating host body resmblene like serac is possible.

I think Serac died, but that the mirror version of Serac is living inside Rehoboam and projecting himself in the real world.
My wild theories (that I think would be cool): Rehobome (sp?) was designed to acquire the data from Westworld and to then reintegrate the outliers by giving them some kind of controlled backstories/cornerstones to serve a greater purpose. I never believed the 'Caleb is Jean Mi theory' but... What if the facility was made to create a process to ghost-dub his personality onto a new host? Serac did say he was a genius: maybe he wanted to dub his personality/genius (like a host) onto a fresh body so that he could lead the rebirth of humanity after his death (with a program he Rehobome made for him)? That way, Liam's 'you killed him' (his dad) and the Serac hologram greeting to Mi/Caleb and Dolores would have dual meanings. Would be a nice parallel to Dolores' plan for Caleb and she would have been duped into selecting him thus not in control as we thought. Rehobome could have predicted that Caleb/Mi would be the human that Dolores would eventually seek out and knew that he would be able to successfully rebuild society after she tried to destroy it (the unpredictability of how she would accomplish this was an inevitable constant in all predicted scenarios so Caleb/Mi was designed as a check for her and would set her up as a hero rebelling against a creator forcing her and humanity into loops).
Also, usually Westworld does some big 'there were two time lines all along!!!' reveal. What if we have it revealed that there have been two Serac's? The real one and a Rehobome manifestation that has acted in a predicted manner?
Very interesting theories. I think Serac is real the age fits his look from kid/ teenager and uses the hologram so he is harder to kill. I like the theory or would like to see Caleb being a set up by Serac as the other mole . Serac seems at times like their getting to mess up his plan but then he shows up at the right time to try to fix things . Either way the theories are cool it keeps us guessing and makes the show even more interesting. It’s a great exercise of making our minds think outside the box.

In episode 7, its revealed that Caleb was sent in AS AN OUTLIER to CAPTURE OUTLIERS for the system. In this case, hes the outlier to capture Dolorus. The story is reminding me of EQUILIBRIUM the movie with Christian Bale. **SPOILER**** They have emotion dulling pharmaceuticals. The story is about when the Cleric stops taking his medication to suppress his emotion(caleb). He sees the outliers and finds them for the system. The entire time the Cleric thought he was helping the resistance but he was used by the system to seek and destroy.
Stubbs being the mole makes sense but its prally Caleb.
The night Caleb and Delorus met in the tunnel is exactly like William with Delorus. Her programming is to attract men who want to do good by looking vulnerable. Teddy is the placeholder for her in the park, when there wasnt a guest using them.
ANYWHO....this was the only way to infiltrate Delorus and to know more. Rehoboem prally simulated situations where they killed Delorus right away and the system still crashed. Thats why Delorus isnt the abnormality. By the time Rehoboem detected Delorus outside the park, Delorus already made the clones. Rehoboem made a plan to infiltrate Delorus without her knowing
In ep1, Caleb was sent by RICO (Rehoboem) to deliver the murder weapon to kill Dolorus, right after that he unsubscribed to his kidcudi therapy. The system made itself obvious to Caleb that it was lieing to him. Caleb was programmed to question reality at that time. He was also programmed to do something 'good' by that time. The system programmed him to be 'good' because the system needed a TEDDY to trigger Delorus. Rehoboem must know basic knowledge of the park and it would know Delorus' character and cornerstones. By Delorus splitting up into different personalities, it ensures different cornerstones. Rehoboem doesnt know who the other hosts are and assumes they are the outliers. Rehoboem needs Maive to find the other hosts (...much like using Outliers to find other outliers.)

My thinking is that Caleb is being tracked and used by the system to understand Delorus' plan. Delorus wont suspect it because hes questioning his own reality and she feels sympathy for him. Caleb doesnt even know hes doing it.
How did Maive/Rehoboem know Delorus and Caleb were @ Solomon? They responded to that situation VERY quick. The Facility was in Arizona and Maive was being made @ Westworld. Caleb must be getting tracked
Caleb was a spy for Moses (Delores) who lead the jews (oppressed humanity) out of Egypt (Serac's world) into a new land ( West World 2.0??). If anything Caleb is Delores' "spy", being her soldier and liberator, and not Serac's. I also think the message to Serac's brother was recorded in roughly present time and assumed that it would be seen at a much later date if the right sequence of events was shaped enough by Rohoboam such that outliers could be awoken and released. It would be stupid if he were just a hologram or some random host. I feel like these writers do not pull weird "gotcha" stunts, everything seems to flow fairly well in my opinion.
