I can make a video, it's just you might be embarrassed with how easy it is. I thought I showed more in this video about that, I must of cut it out to make the video shorter in length. First problem is that incompatible with this monitor file "NEEWER Firmware_Update" is confusing for everyone. Updating is by SDcard only. I contacted the head of support because of your comment since RAR format is too confusing for regular computer user and windows does not uncompress RAR format and most programs bug you to pay for it. I asked the engineer to change to ZIP because windows can open it. He said he will change to ZIP format. The hardest aspect is memory card file format. That part annoys me and is going to make people mad, it means small memory cards only are going to work because camera cards are going to format to exFAT, windows formats to NTFS Asked engineer to find a solution for this. Otherwise a very small small 32Gb or smaller card should work. I used my microSD card in an SDcard adapter otherwise I have to google search for an program to format to FAT32 and you 2TB card becomes a 32Gb size limit "Due to the limitation of FAT32, the Windows system doesn't support creating a FAT32 partition on a more than 32GB disk partition. I believe I have my 128Gb card as fat32 but not via windows method. Until the engineer does his thing it's ridiculously complicated for me to attempt to explain. Get a small SDcard I can send you an instruction link once you add me on Facebook or Discord. After Wednesday I am limited to Facebook since I won't be in the studio and am working a camp job out of town for 2 weeks.
if you have the correct file downloaded, it is uncompressed, SDcard is in Fat32 format. Copy the firmware to SDcard insert into the the F500 and it'll immediately start updating upon being turned on.

Dummy batteries to the monitor? I never do that, I can but I just don't use a dummy NPF battery when I have NPF batteries... Neewer sells NPF batteries with USB out, the type A USB can power the monitor while also using an NPF plate to power the camera. I have a video playlist called hot tips you may find useful and also have a video where I compare 7 NPF battery plates at the end I show my NPF battery with USB to power multiple devices.
It has a form of image squeeze mode,. I show that setting with piles of others in my part 1 review inluding all the accessories included. You'd be able to see if it works the way you hope or not.
Hey, I have 2 questions, hope you can answer them! 1. How exactly do I import LUTs and do I need to have the SD Card plugged in all the time in order to use the LUTs? 2. Is there a way to save the configuration of the monitor? Everytime I start it it resets and I have to set everything up again. Im on the newest firmware 2.17
As low and you are powering off with the power button and not switching off or removing power the settings including the loaded LUT should also save. Just like firmware updating the LUT must be saved to card FAT32 format. Select lut loading choose the LUT. Keep the one setting on custom and LUT switch ON. I'm at a work camp out of town for another week... Or I would know the exact name of the menus
Hi! So, I just got the monitor for my Sony A7RV. I put the Phantom Luts on an SD and imported them to the monitor. I can’t seem to make them look alright, the color is WAY off. Do you had same issues? Hope you can help me!
I had issues, until I updated the firmware. before firmware update skin tones were yellowish which was fixed in the firmware I show in this video version 2.17. I updated to version 2.21 I believe (updated last night)
Not only does the firmware update fix LUT color tones. The update also adds features like auto power off, LUT switch on saved after power off which otherwise has to be turned back on every power own and more fixes.

Which dummy battery do you use to connect to the monitor? The one I just bought doesn't fit and the amount of options is kinda overwhelming!

Great video, does this monitor have a aspect ratio assist, for example 9:16?

Facebook message Neewer. Maybe they could add the feature would be cool.
Neewer is awesome
Especially what they did with this monitor. Their support of their products is most certainly awesome.
