To be honest that's amazing that no one from A350 died. I think that's because they all were Japanese and they did what they were told and didn't bring their bags with them. Not to offend anyone but I think in other countries this could've ended much worse.
The cabin crew are outstanding. A job that most passengers think is a glorified waitress and toilet cleaner is actually a highly trained, underpaid safety professional.
Without the quick reaction and comptency of the cabin crew with only 3 exits they still evacuated all on board. The pilots did an amazing job getting the aircraft to a halt and turning it onto the grass, letting ATC know what they need and evacuation status. Well done to the fire crews for swiftly making it to the aircraft, and RIP to those 5 losses, I hope the captain of the Dash 8 makes a peaceful recovery.
Yes, it’s very impressive that there were no fatalities on the a350, I think part of it is that I don’t see anyone taking their luggage. On other evacuation videos, I’ve seen people try and take their luggage and slow down the evacuation
Yes, now that you mentioned that that’s true, but it looks like they still worked, but you can see towards the end of the video People hitting the ground pretty hard and I suspect this is where some injuries came from.

That plane went off the runway. Day time photos show that. The plane could have been saved if it wasn’t for that right engine. The left engine was off and a fire fighter shot foam into. ANN news have video of it. Fire truck was spraying down the left side. The rear landing gear looks intact on both sides. The nose gear collapsed or got destroyed. The nose down position raises the tail section up, so good thing that the slides are longer now. There definitely needs to have more fire equipment stationed at the airport. Assistance from other fire stations had to respond. People should have a reflective band. Because in California a Japanese woman was crushed by the fire truck. The driver never saw her. And it was said that if she was laying in the foam, infrared cameras would not see her.
the video you have starts after the collision, the actual collision is just before the fireball starts. The nose of the Airbus hits the tail of the Dash 8, then the wings of the Dash 8 are impacted by the engines of the Airbus resulting in the fireball.
I think you might be right when I was making this video. I couldn’t find footage of before the collision, but now there are videos of that showing what you’re saying.
Totally amataur speculation here, it looks like the A350 struck the very front of the Dash 8 with the underside of it's fuselage, then the underside of the left wing and part of the engine knocking the Dash 8 away in the process, and showering it in fuel from the ruptured wing tanks. The A350 is much higher than the Dash 8, preventing a full frontal collision and averting total disaster for anyone at the front of the plane. The strength of the A350 and the fact it deflected the Dash 8 away due to the height differences meant that the passengers were able to escape. I am also making another speculation in saying it's lucky this happened on landing when the fuel tanks were mostly empty. I imagine the outcome could have been much worse if the wings were full of fuel. The real question is, why did the Dash 8 enter the runway without clearance? They were told to hold short and that airport has runway entrence lights (REL, Bright red lights) warning any plane to not enter an active runway. Even if the REL was inop, clearance to enter the runway wasn't given, and only ATC can give that permission.

This ministry not only manages airports, but also has the contradictory authority to regulate and deregulate flights in order to attract more foreign tourists. This time, the ministry and the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism forced deregulation in order to host the Tokyo Olympics. Flights from Narita Airfield, which was built to avoid overcrowding at Haneda but is located a little to the east, are now concentrated at Haneda, resulting in overcrowded flights and sacrificing safety. Haneda also serves as a base for the Coast Guard, which responds to disasters and other emergencies. However, the U.S. Yokota Air Base is located 30 km to the west, and the U.S. military has airspace control over the Tokyo metropolitan area, forcing Japanese aircraft to avoid the area. Thus, we have forced them to operate in a manner that usually relies on craftsmanship. This time, we were forced to make an exception for the January 1 Noto Peninsula earthquake disaster relief operation, in which this Coast Guard aircraft flew to support the victims. Passenger pilots and Coast Guard pilots had to make instrument landings because it was dark at night. The burden of managing the disaster operations and the exception flights of the Coast Guard aircraft fell on the air traffic controllers, who were responsible for the operation of other aircraft in the world's most overcrowded fleet. The plane was landing so it was probably low on fuel Also the impact could have punctured the fuel tank and most of the remaining fuel leaked out as the plane traveled down the runway thus the burning trail of fuel on the runway. It was a miracle more people weren’t killed
How about if all the stewardesses were dead or seriously injured upon collision ? Who is responsible to open the door ? Can the doors be opened from OUTSIDE ? 🏃🏃♂🏃♀
I suspect that because all of the boxes that control the plane are located right below the cockpit and the front of the plane is what took a lot of the damage. I suspect a lot of the connections may have been lost or equipment damaged. This is also evident because the infotainment inside of the plane, like the screens for the passengers, and the voice intercom was also not working.
From the air traffic control logs so far, it seems like this may have been caused by the pilots of the dash eight They were never given runway clearance, but the Japan airlines airbus A350 was

it's sad to see everyone just buying this as legit....so many inconsistancies....there is nothing left of the plane at the .end.but somehow the flames dissapeared when they were evacuating, compared to landing footage...no proper footage of other plane..try and find a zoomed out footage of full scene with both craft in frame....i cannot find..
You can’t capture both aircraft in one frame because the airliner travelled at least another 1000ft down the runway before it stopped. The other aircraft is also totally destroyed and almost completely consumed by fire. There are ample post crash footage of both aircrafts…
Hopefully the investigation paints a clear picture in the coming weeks and months, but I don’t think it’s ever going to just be one person and one factor that is the cause.
I think they only drop when there’s a depressurisation. I don’t believe they are designed for oxygen when there’s a fire. I think the priority when there’s a fire on the plane is on the ground is to get everyone off the plane as soon as possible and the masks might actually hinder that.
You don’t want 350+ passengers pulling masks down and initiating oxygen generators in a situation like that. O2 masks are no good in smokey cabins anyway.
