- www.autobytel.c... If you are considering buying a nice passenger sedan but fuel economy is a priority, then look no further than the 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid. The 2015 model is available in 3 different trims ranging from $26,790 for the LE model, $27,995 for the SE mode (tested here), to $29,980 for the XLE model.
The Camry Hybrid SE is the more sporty version with 17-inch alloy wheels, rear decklid spoiler, black mesh inserts up front, and a sport-tuned suspension. The powertrain mates a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a CVT transmission. The combined output is 200 horsepower with fuel economy figures coming in at 40 MPG in the city and 38 MPG on the highway.
When it comes to fuel efficient sedans there are a few choices on the market including the Ford Fusion Hybrid, the Hyundai Sonata Hybrid, Honda Accord Hybrid, and the Volkswagen Passat TDI. The 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid is a solid choice overall combining a winning blend of efficiency, technology, comfort, and reliability.

Amazing mileage for such a roomy, comfortable car!
i love Toyota !!! i love that Camry !!!
Great review!
I prefer the HAH but this is a great alternative.
Best thing is it has spare tire in compare Fusion, Sonata or Optima.
The older model looks sharper. Dash is nice on this one though.
you said to get leather we have to go to the top of the line XSE hybrid only has LE SE and XLE
David Lew D'oh! XSE, XLE, Tomato, Tomatoh. L = Leather?
MPGomatic XSE is the sporty version of the SE that is found only in the non-hybrid version. Differences in the XSE include a different front end as well as price. However, XSE and XLE both have leather seats
so, it appears you can't past certain speed without gas engine?
The 200hp Camry Hybrid SE is Toyota's answer to the Civic Si sedan. It has the speed, economy, and better interior at the same time lol
My birth year is December 1985
Quick question: why would the MPG readout show a "Best" MPG as 37.8 while the "Average" MPG is higher at 41.5 MPG? Wouldn't average always be less than best? Also, to echo a previous post, any chance of you doing a video review of the Accord Hybrid? Thanks!
why do people grip the steering wheel like its going to pull away from them, or God forbid they don't hold it the way drivers ed told you to.
Torque steer baby! Throw too much power at those front wheels and they like to squirm, even worse on the V6 model.
why it is so expensive in cambodai ?
Hey Dan,
Did you do a review of accord hybrid here or other site?
police1184 I've been in the Accord Hybrid but wasn't able to knock out a video review, due to the weather conditions that week (last winter). It's a great car. Fingers crossed I get another shot at it.
7:00 He reached 1234 miles
9:06 you sound like Tom Multcher lol
Can the hybrid starts if its parked for a long time? ex. 5-8 months?
***** No.
Yes, but it's not good for battery longevity. Give the keys to someone you trust and let them drive it for 25-30 min once a month at least.
Good luck finding one of these. Insane MPG even if you drive like a moron.
CVT... booooo
give me a 8 speed auto
What are you a Chevrolet employee?
Calm down...The Hybrid is also available with a six speed. The video just happens to feature the CVT version.
Toyota produces no hybrid with a 6 speed transmission or anything but an eCVT.
It's really really slow lol
Chris Mejia compared to what
This is the ugliest piece of x that I've seen in ages....
Thank you for the in depth description of Toyota's decade old hybrid system smh. It's old dated technology.
ldawson103 YW! ;) In-market consumers are the target market for the video reviews that I produce. Folks that are considering the Camry Hybrid might not be familiar with Toyota's time-tested hybrid systems. To a Prius driver, it's old hat. To a Camry buyer, it may still seem like something from a Sci-Fi movie.
No kidding, we get how it works. Sure would like to see other features, trunk space, etc. anything else about the car? This guy is killing me.
Bob A Booey Trunk Space @ 9:37 ... have a great day! :)
it's dated but it lasts forever, unlike newer technology from low quality brands.
