Nice. I'm gonna suggest you add a charge port to the shadow box and then use nickel metal batteries so you can recharge the batteries without opening it.

I have to wonder if the shaft will grind away the glass over time. Might be where it's getting it's stutter too.
You could try finding a bit of sheet metal instead of the styrene. Aluminum might do. The stuttering might be just binding in the gearbox. A tiny bit of molybdenum grease in there might sort it out.

What is "ghosting"? (awesome build by the way - I love the Jupiter background)
Very nice build and presentation! A tip for assembling the cargo pods: glue the support spine pieces forward and aft of the communications antenna around the metal rod separately from the command and engine modules using the modelling bench or table to line them up. Then attach all the cargo pods one side at a time also using the bench to keep them level until you have all three sides done. Then attach the command and engine modules over the appropriate ends of the support rod. (This is easier described using a video than by writing it down!) Check out Lou Dalmaso's build of the 1/144 Moebius kit on his Aztec Dummy channel to see this technique as it can be applied to the 1/350 kit.
