- Hello friends, in this video i'll be making a doweling jig with plexiglass, hard wood and steel tube. This is the simplest and most effective way to doweling. You can find the measurements at the end of the video.

or "bravo"? I speak Arabic and tebrik sounds like "mabrouk" ( congratulations).

Great little jig but why would you not put glue in the dowel holes and on the dowels?

I guess, from the dimensions of the test piece, it is only a show piece. Should one needs to use the tool on a proper frame, then one would expect to put adhesive. Having said this, I have a piece of expensive furniture where dowels were used to join the corners of a frame without putting adhesive. Maybe someone in the trade would leave a comment in this regard. Anyway it is a good self-explanatory video.

Don't get me wrong great little jig and this is one of my favourite channels. It just surprised me to see no glue on the dowels. From my experience in 90% of Dowel failures I have seen is because of no or to little glue put on dowels . I am in the trade. I'm a carpenter.

Very cool Dowel jig. One of the better ones I have seen on UA-cam. I wanted to ask you about your table saw. Have you added aluminium channels on it since I see it the last time. Or is it a newer one you have built. Thank you for sharing another great video..

You could have shown it' working aswell on an L shape to assemble angled sides of any box. Just one detail : you need one such tool for each wood thickness, but it's so easy to do it ...

Sevgili Gökmen, çok güzel bir video olmuş ama eğer delikleri orta çizginin iki tarafına eşit mesafede açamazsan göründüğü kadar basit değil.O delikleri orta çizginin iki tarafına tam eşit mesafede bu aletlerle bir seferde açmak, pleksi üstünde de orta çizgiyi tam ortalamak bayağı zor bir iş. Ama becerebilen için çok pratik bir fikir. Teşekkürler.

Gökmen hocam eline saglik. bütün videolarin hepsini izledim ve elimden geldigince seni izleyerek bazi parcalari yapmaya calisacagim,
fakat videolarin sonunda ölcüleri verdikten sonra bu ürünleri nerden temin ettigini de paylasirsan bomba olur.
mesela bu parcayi yaptim netten arastirdim dis 10 ic 8mm diye satilan alu boru aldim. ama 8lik asap ucu girmiyor simdi icine. :(

Üstadım ellerinize sağlık çok pratik ve ekonomik bir ürün olmuş. Evimde ufak tefek tamirat tadilat işlerini kendim yapmayı seviyorum fakat profesyonel aletler çok pahalı ve bir kaç sefer kullanım için atıl yatırım olur. Şu an eskiden kolona denk geldii için L şeklinde sırtı olan fakat yeri değişeceği için L kısımlarını ücretini verecek olmama rağmen binbir rica ile kestirdiğim dolabımın L kısmına denk gelen minifix ve kavela yerleri de kesilmiş oldu. Minifix yeri açar mısınız diye sorduklarım uğraşamayız diye burun kıvırdılar. En azından dıştan vidalama yapmadan önce kavela bari takayım dedim ve en azından bir miktar sağlamlığı artsın diye böyle bir basit alete ihtiyacım var. Siz bu ürünü satıyor musunuz mesela satın almak istesek? Şimdiden teşekkür eder iyi çalışmalar dilerim.
This jig only works for the height size of the jig you made. You would need a seperate jig for 1", 3/4", 1/2", etc.
I figured that out as well, that is why the self centering jigs are popular
