- This is one of my favorite Christmas songs ever, and I felt a need to make a video for it. This video is about peace on Christmas based in the place I love so much, New York City.

Christmas 2020 was nothing like any other for me. Away from family for the first time in over 30 years. It is almost as if it never happened. It is usually my favourite time of year as a Christian. I am hoping Christmas 2021 will be with family.

I've listened to this song about 15-20 times
It is almost 3:00 a.m. on this hot summer night and had to think of my dear sister who passed away last year. This wonderful song reminds me of the good times, especially the Christmas season and our way of looking at home alone and laughing together ..... The songs Somewhere in my memory & Christmas Star make me very sad but at the same time very happy and hopeful since I know that we will see each other again in a beautiful place - maybe there will even be snow and this song will be sung by angels. Greetings to everyone and God's blessings.

I was locked up in jail and it was around Christmas time I sang this song and it made me cry because it. showed me how much I love my family I hope that never happens again I missed them so much lucky there was a lights across the street to remind me of chrismas

This christmas song of "John Williams" sounds very great and beautiful.
This song brings back so many memories of when I use to work at the movie theater at the time of this movie, Home Alone 2, way back when. I think of the smell and sound of the popcorn machine, everyone so happy and excited it was the holidays, great energy, and I use to go in the theater to listen to this song when it played and just reflect.
They do not make movies or songs like these anymore. John Williams the composer made an Amazing song!! My favorite Christmas song.

Love this track. Everytime I hear it in Home Alone it really touches the heart. John Williams is a really good composer and really writes great scores.
Like when Kevin McCallister made a new friend at the children's hospital who rubbed his hand down his chest after he waved back at him. It looked like the kid was trying to tell Kevin he was having heart surgery.
Also, Home Alone 2, lost in new York my personal favorite.

Thanks so much for posting this gorgeous piece. Not typical of Williams compositional style but still a glowing (no pun intended!) testament to the diversity of his genius. So simple, so lovely. John Williams' music is so beautiful! Such talent. You can hear the emotions in his work....❤ I was so happy he was part of this favorite movie of mine!
I just LOVE this tune, the arrangement etc. Trust John Williams to come up with something this amazing. It's in Db, which means the Oboe has to play an Ab which is out of it's range!! I think Johnny recorded the orchestra in Eb (the Oboe CAN play Bb) and THEN transposed it using modern day technology to shift the pitch to Db so he could get the warmth of the Db key and the range for the kids to record the top notes. So if you're after a live performance (as I was), you have to use an English Horn to get the lower (out of range) Oboe notes. It took a long time but it was SO worth the effort as it is a BEAUTIFUL Christmas song.
We performed this in our 20th Ann. carol concert. It's such a beautiful piece. John Williams writes so many amazing pieces.

Here, here! Now that all our memories are at finger reach in the internet, people started to believe that the past was great, and the present world sucks.
