Plateup is if overcooked and cooking mama meshed together and made a roguelike, you create a restaurant as a group and have to survive to your 15th day. If a single customer is un happy, the whole restaurant closes down.

Interesting how they balance dishes options with expected customers. I've seen other streamers avoid more dishes because of the chaos if it was not balanced.
I've found I've picked the left option (non 2nd dish option) over 80% of the time
That’s what they have done mostly just they chose a different strat in this run

It used to be very unbalanced in the Beta. But apparently they've fixed it.
So chaotic, it’s one thing I love about this game. Was also laughing as your friend kept burning the pies even though he had a safety hob! 😆 So fun

Massive tip for future games, buy the blueprint cabinets whenever you see them. Being able to upgrade more than one thing each day makes the game so much easier later on, and also let's you store more blueprints.

Ontop of this if you have a copying desk and don't like your blueprints for the day collect them still & copy them anyway. When the next day comes take them out the cabinets before you re roll, they will then be re rolled also so its basically 2+ blueprints

@@Skoottie It's upsetting that school takes up half the day so we can't watch the full thing.
you can automate water with a the empty pot in the sink and just face the combiner to the pot. in the last setup if you change the counter with the sink in the soup automation setup, then it is auto filled. (since you already have a combiner being faced to the sink then). the sink will do two tasks, combining the pot and the onion and filling it with water.
So far, this really only works well with pies - we've had the same result when trying to have a chaotic run, when you go for salad and choose potato salad, suddenly you get like 9+ parcels thrown at your face because you need onions, potatoes, two hobs, pots, eggs, olive oil just for one dish and it's SO complicated it's hard to keep up if you're not prepared~
I have just failed a solo run on day 15 with salad. I was OK all 14 days but expected customer suddenly increased from 8 to 14.

I didn't realize he only had 34k subs. The style of the videos is refreshing, just a dude playing a game smart. I just subbed to help our boy out a little. The production is so good that i thought for sure he'd be at like 500k subs or something.

So I noticed with the soup, the second batch made in a used pot cooked quicker than the first, at least before carrots are added
Yeah its a lot quicker, best way is to juggle 2 pots of soup
I had a solo run of this today where I had 4 customers on day 15 and still only 17 on Overtime day 15. I started with a franchise run serving steak and fish and then picked a new dish every time I gained a star. There is one card that adds a 3rd fish option every day and decreases customers by a whole 30% so that helped a lot.
Right now I'm at OT day 20 my menu:
Starters: Carrot or Tomato Soup
Main Course: Thin or Regular Steaks with mushrooms and mushroom sauce, Red or Blue Fish, and Scallops.
Side Dishes: Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli, and Chips
Desserts: Coffee and Charcuterie Boards
And customers can order one of their courses twice sometimes.

It's been nuts haha. Hardest part of the run has definitely just been finding space for all the ingredients and dishes to go. I still only have 1 stack of 3 pots, but I have 5 dishes that need a pot to cook. I've been getting around that by storing 2 pots in freezers each day, but man is this kitchen crowded.
How are the blueprints always lined up in the street? Mine are always just scattered everywhere.

Hey Skootie, I don’t know if it still works but at one point if you sent, say a pot, through a sink with grabbers like it was a counter, while there’s a combined pointed at the sink then it would auto add water. Like I said I’m not sure if it still works but it would be really cool if if did.

If your restaurant would offer nothing but one main dish, could you use the conveyor to push the dish onto the dining tables, and then a smart grabber to remove the dirty plates?
yes, but they customers also take from the conveyor next to the table. if you push directly on the table then customers dont want to sit there, since it is not empty
I think this episode is my favorite so far from the plate up! series! Maybe with the exception of the first ones, with itsgng, because the chaos was just so good

Not sure that it matters, but for anyone who doesn't know - you can automatically add water to a soup pot by using a combiner facing the sink.
So if you did something like the following, you'd have an auto-starter for soups:
Pot -> Grabber -> Sink
Onions -> Grabber - Combiner -> Sink
So a diagram like this:

How do you keep your customer count so low? I'm on Pizza's right now and I'm getting 10-14 people by day six in singleplayer x.x
Some cards reduce customer quantity, usually these cards are the ones that add dishes. More complex dishes being added reduce the customer count further

In the beginning on the run. Why no use of dishwasher? It can store 4 dirty plates and clean them

Why is the map so big... looks like a 4p map but 2p are using it.
Skooties character should be high level which would have unlocked larger maps to choose... He might also be playing a seed which is something you also unlock at higher levels to allow you to pick a bigger map based on keywords. So basically the map size is based on character level on game rather than amount of players.

You can auto serve customers with conveyor belts too the customer just grabs what they ordered from the belt and a smart conveyor will take dirty plates away from the table.
Alt+F4 is the best way.

Why is that combiner just chillin in the back the whole run? Seems like it would have been pretty nice to use.
The conveyors also just chillin with lots of possible uses.
Just wondering, could you integrate customer tables into the work station? As in getting a 4 by 4 area, 4 customer tables on the corners and work stations in between the tables with a 2 by 2 walk space in the center. Seems like this could be a decent strategy. Meybe even 5 by 5 if the room is big enough.
