My aunt was hospitalized here along with some of the people I take care of and mentor. What they did to those people was so wrong!

Wow - this was fun to watch. My friends and I shot a (very bad) movie in that building back in 1999-2000 or so. While half the campus was already abandoned, parts were still in use. Since it was a school project, we got permission from the offices to go in and were there almost every weekend for a whole summer. Great memories! The "Starring Keith" writing is actually from the film, and I'm shocked to see it's still there -- especially since it looks like a tornado went through the place with all the furniture/etc. When we were in there it was remarkably untouched/"clean" and very awesome to explore, finding files/records/etc. Very little graffiti/vandalism at the time.
But damn that attic was questionable even 20 years ago, haha... I'm surprised someone hasn't created an urban-explorer-sized hole in the middle of it.

My brother was here. He would plead to go home after a visit. He was slow and that was what they did with you when you were a kid. Now I'm old and on orders of governor inslee I have to stay in my room. Enjoy your history lesson. It's my ptsd trigger!

My mother and her two brothers were put into Rosewood back in 1925. Rosewood was originally a place for displaced children and disabled children. My mother had stated that children who were not disabled just displaced had to take care of the children who were disabled. Because they were put in there at a very young age and did not get out until they were 18 years of age. This place F.... up my mother and her brothers very bad. The rich had money and did not wish to have anyone know they had disabled children. This took place in the 20' 30' 40' and so on. I am looking for a list for children put into Rosewood back in 1925 to 1940.

thats right next to my school. its awesome, but there have been somedays where i felt like a feeble minded patient in school. I drew dark pictures and connected with spirits through drawings of how they suffered. its such a wonderful place.

Nice video!! My friends and I went through a bunch, if not all, the older buildings somewhere between 2002-2004. Probably made about a dozen trips or so. My friend should still have some of it on tape including going through the main administration building that burned down. Patients records, files and bulletin board postings were still in there and everything. It’s like they just picked up and left everything in the buildings after they were condemned. Found a creepy electrical panel in one building which I can only assume was for electroshock treatments. Twin sized beds/cribs with steel bars and restraints. You captured some of those porcelain tables that had drainage channels around the perimeter that we saw. Used for bathing or post mortem, I’m not sure. You can feel the loneliness, neglect, abuse and downright torture that went on for some (not all) patients in there. Something about that place will always stick in the back of my mind. Thanks for the upload.

BMORETALKS I’m not sure which buildings 2 and 3 you’re talking about but, if you wanted company... I wouldn’t mind maybe one more trip with ya there before this whole place gets demolished. Don’t care about cameras or UA-cam at all but wouldn’t mind being in the background unbeknownst with y’all before it’s all gone which will be soon enough

I thought Rosewood was heavily guarded? Something about some of the buildings were still used for other purposes? I had a freelance job there many many years ago. I don't think I would recognize any of the buildings now. As usual good video with good images.
