Fish scales everywhere! Nice oak, wish we had a "stump dump" near us!

Think Tim had a little too much caffeine, Cats eye, or Cats Ass LOL I like the term fish scales. Cut a lot of red oak over the years very good looking lumber ya'll made. Cheers!

What would keep the fresh wood from warping as it dries?

@@theresaprator7608 it's stacked and stickered right after being milled. The weight of the wood helps keep it straight. There are a lot of factors involved, species of wood, stress in the log, the way it was milled, humidity are just a few.
