So far, the best dancer of the Black Swan I've seen. Why is everyone all over Natalie Makarova etc.? Look at THIS! To me, she seems more seductive, dark, mysterious and elegant, plus she dances incredibly. =O
Cecilia is a wonderful, powerful classicist. I remember years and years ago catching my first glimpse of Cecilia on Makarova's tv series, BALLERINA. At the time she had never left her native Brazil. Makarova paired her up with Bujones for the filming of the show and they did an awe-inspiring Bayadere. That must've been twenty years ago now.
cecilia has perfect classic technique, she presents a wonderful port de bras, elegant extensions, and impeccable attitude. her dance is fluid and her swan is marked by brilliant interpretation such as in her head movement. marcelo is a world first class dancer who knows how present a ballerina in grand style.there is a beautiful flow in their dance, a flowing choreographic dialog. She did well though she traveled way too much during the pirouettes. Have you watched the Cuban swan? You might like them. Their Swan Lake version includes the "sauts sour la pointe en arabesque" that are very unique, challenging and beautiful.
I am a huge ballet fan and do not think I have ever heard of her, but I became a huge fan in about 30 seconds. Love her feet and her turns in second- she is lovely!
