You gotta need a pc or else you won't be able to boot into recovery mode. You can't just plug your phone to the power source, it won't work.

Skimming through the video, it appears he only uses the computer as a power source. You may be able to replicate these steps if you connect your device to a wall charger, if not use your computer at work or borrow from a family member or friend.

It’s asking for PIN cause when u factory reset u had a gmail acct synced to the phone. In this case u need to enter ur old PIN or Google (gmail) acct and password to complete setup.
