- Something that is over looked often is having proper window covers. I think this style is the best, most efficient way to cover a window in regards for temp control and also blacking out the light.

Hi Jarrod, great build. I love the turquoise blue epoxy in the wood. My favorite colour. See you out there. Cheers!
What brand was your window ?? Thanks
AMA and bought off vanwindowsdirect.com
If one chooses a pull-down shade, they have to take into consideration possible malfunction, especially over time, and the level of frustration that goes with it. It’s why I would choose the magnetic ones too.
Thanks for the video!
Well said :)
Love any and all your “Vlogs”. Thanks again.
If you had to buy them again would you buy 4 seasons?
May I ask where you bought the windows from (link)?
Awesome Jarrod!!! This Guy is REAL ...One of the Best On here!!! Subscribe , you will be entertained in several ways lol
Thank you Traci!!!! 😊
Just started watching your videos, I love what you're doing man. Keep it up, nice build
Thank you!
idea for Ford conversion van large side windows …. cabinet door sliders on top and bottom....three pieces of plywood for each window.....slide two off to the side to ge 2/3 of the light in....no window cover storage....I had some used scratched plastic sheet 1/8 thick that I glued reflexit and black cloth to .
$175 for that ONE cover is just way too much.
Jarred, good advertising. because of this vid, I bought a set for the back doors and the sliding door. Love them 🥰 Can you tell me what kind of curtains you use for the front?
Awesome you'll love them. I got a thermal blackout curtains from Amazon. I'll have to add the link for them
Your van looks beautiful. But have you thought about using car headliner upholstery to give your sliding door a finished look and insulation? It would cut down on cold and heat coming through the medal slider and looks really nice installed. You can purchase it in a variety of colors.
Thank you. Yes I've thought about that. A lot of others do that. I'm not opposed to it but also not the look I'm going for. The sliding door is my only exposed metal. Maybe in the future
Hi Jarrod,
Will you paint the black brackets of the shelve white in the future?
Not planning on it. I have other black accents, like my drawer pulls and faucet, so they actually match the van nicely
Could you please tell me about the tracking that you have hanging up a curtain dividing the cab from your living space what is it and where did you get it from?
Thanks
Sure. The upper shelf was made by RB Components (did a video about it). Then I made a 2 part wood system that attached to the lip of the shelf. So there's a piece of wood glued to the aluminum shelf lip (on the inside), then a top wood piece to over hang enough so I could attach a room divider track on. I got the track off Amazon for $70 and from there you just need to cut it to size with a hacksaw. Hope that helps
@@JarrodTocci thank you !
I have a Transit XLT formerly a passenger van. The van company sold me thermal shades with loose suction cups with snaps. Problem is the snaps are difficult if not impossible to engage. The thermal shades are pretty stiff, stiffer than those you show here. There isn’t metal around the windows, they have ses some kind of stiff plastic
They used a plastic liner that covers all metal around the windows. I’m heading thinking of using the type of suction cup that has a hook attached, then sewing in rings or loops onto the outsides of the shades that I can hook the suction cup hooks to. Grrr.
Hey,
I forgot to ask you about that DC Thermal 12v heater that you had in your last van. How was it? Did it take the chill out of the van? Was it with just a switch or did you put a thermostat on it?
Thanks
Chris
It was decent but took a lot of power. There was a switch but could also set the thermostat to make it come on
Jarrod Tocci Thanks
Hi jarrod where is that off grid solutions at ? Thanks
In Portland Oregon
Concur with the other way. Look is cool, but temp is an issue.
Do you consider tinting in addition to the covers?
I plan on tinting as well but not needed right away
GREAT, a 12 minute commercial, not.
How real?
did you say that you got covers for the windshield and front doors? Does it cover completely on the windshield?it was hard to tell in the video
Thanks
Didn't show the windshield one, sorry. But yes it does cover completely. I didn't have the front ones up with I did the walk around
Man you sure like to talk.
