  • Testing out my newly acquired Coemar Venus M4 1200W. The motors could use some lubrication and the dichroic color filters are a little worn out. The video shows the motors being tested one by one. First the 1200W arc-lamp is switched on. The first motor is the base of the unit. The second motor is the saucer. The third motor is the color wheel and the final motor is the "moon-gear". After showing all the motors individually moving in both directions, I operate it with all the motors running in various directions. The controller which came with this unit does not have speed control for the motors, only forward & reverse. I plan to build a new controller that has speed control. I'm also planning to replace the arc-lamp with high-power LEDS so that the unit can be run off 120V instead of 220V.
