Enjoy watching someone else doing this. My grandfather told me years ago on our 8n that the engine was half of a v8 flathead. I see in your distributor exactly what he meant. There is provisions in there for the second set of points. Love the channel.
Rear housing is 3 speed and no bolt holes for swinging hitch.. also has Sherman trans with direct and high range.. axle trailing arm are the smoth style..hood and fenders don't have ford stamps on them.. thinking it's a 2n with new 8n motor with side distributor thst never got stamped..
Very good video. I was nervous about tuning a tractor till I watched this. Thank you.

Thank you so much - helped a lot.
I got a 2n motor has no numbers and has side distributor.. axle on left says 2n 1947.. question is what engine do I have?
Good question. It could be an 8N motor in a 2N, or maybe a 2N axle on an 8N tractor?

Where would one find said points kit for this tractor. I have a 9N.
Check Yesterday’s Tractors or Steiners. Both are online.
