***** I hope you are being sarcastic! German banks DID NOT bailed out Greek people, they have bailed out other creditors, Greek people will have to struggle for a long time to get out of the debt imposed on them.
I like this clip, the way Chomsky phrases his answer. He doesn't belittle or demean those who have bought into the Tea Party rhetoric.. He condemns the duplicitous charlitans who've lied & deceived them (the TP & GOP candidates & spokesmen etc.), AND he critisizes liberals & progressives for having no voice & not throwing their hat in the ring.
Where are all my left wing militia's at? Oh, guess there can't be an anarchist militia, because a militia upholds the constitutional government. So then, where are all my anarcho-guerillas at?
+Instructor Evan The actual left has always faced much more oppression than the right. In the 1990s the militia movement was getting pretty big so the federal government busted them up. They did this by just going after the leadership while the extremist rank and file were allowed to go their own way. Conversely Occupy Wall Street was hit as a movement. Leadership and rank and file were targeted. It wasn't even as extreme a movement. Their was no meaningful call for the violent overthrow of the government. No serious calls for the execution of business leaders. Yet Occupy was methodically broken down and scattered. To be honest the left in the US is extremely tame. They focus on the culture wars which don't resonate with people. They take perverse pride in being ineffective. They refuse to do anything that could lay the foundation for a meaningful movement.
Instructor Evan I think the big problem is the "left" in this country is drawn from middle class suburbia or even more affluent and not from the working class. This is why gamergate, misogyny everywhere and other marginal issues feature so prominently. If these would be leftist actually started focusing on serious economic issues they could endanger their own privilege and they will NOT allow that. Look at the baby boomer generation as an example. They started off as "leftists" but what they actually wanted was to do whatever they felt like doing and getting power earlier than previous generations. Once they dug in they have become increasingly reactionary. Now they form the rank and file of Trump's fascist movement.
+Dan Morgan The left has several divisions, the educated proletariat, the working class, and the poor. Yes the educated leftist probably won't give up their comfortable lifestyles. But libertarian socialism is a working class movement. I believe in a transition from democratic socialism to anarcho syndicalism (unionism). I believe in the working class and the poor, the true left. As for a real movement, it starts off small. I have organized a group of activists and left wing militia. Several of us are prior military. We discuss fighting back through diet and exercise, opposing the processed foods and sedentary lifestyle imposed upon us by the elite. We go on hikes, camping trips, and several have survivalist training they share. The firing range and paintballing are my favorites. So you say it can't be done, I say it's already happening.
Instructor Evan Oh, I'm not saying it can't be done. What I am saying is the current left isn't really all that left of center. This is why it struggles to gain traction.
i really am frightened by what these tea partiers are capable of if the government they want is voted in. don't think it can't happen in these united states of america.
It's odd how libertarians switch over to the alt-right with such ease.
Which they find acceptance w open arms eh?
Lol no.
Go back to your Sam Harris ASMR

Why banks were bailed out? We live in the United States of AMNESIA.

+Dan Morgan Agreed. I'm struggling to gain traction myself. People don't want to give up their IPhones. LOL.
Have a fine day/eve.
