BLACKPINK comes from YG Entertainment which is a more hip hop based label so they come from a long line of good hip hop/kpop hits. They debuted around the same time BTS was starting to really become one of the bigger boy groups so they've been in the lime light a lot together as some of the most popular groups. Thanks to the successes of BP's senior groups of Big Bang, 2NE1, Winner and iKon they have been on fire with chart toppers since day 1.
