Many champions have become legends over the course of their tenure as champion. And for many of them, it's because they looked untouchable for much of the time you'd seen them. But what about the times they were forced to look human? What about the times they barely managed to even win?

When will we see the mystical “Tommy from MMA On Point” in real life
Never. He doesn't exist 😂
I bet he looks more exaggerated than his pic
At this point I'm convinced Tommy is an experimental MMA AI avatar that went rogue, and MMA On Point took him in 😂 that said, great video as usual!
Make a list of most controversial score cards or judges in MMA
Jon 49-46 over Reyes has to be the single worst scorecard in MMA history
If they haven't already done this I'm completely down
We gotta do something about judges, there needs to be some level of accountability. Seems like there's no oversight at all.
Cory vs chito vera
Just check out any card with Cecil peoples. Worst fucking judge ever. Idk how long you've been watching but back in the day you either won or Cecil was gonna pick up the decision for you. Used to hate that dude

As a Jon fan I was much more nervous about the Santos score card than the Reyes score card. I did have to watch both on mute if that makes a difference to anyone
Jones has fans? I know a lot of people like watching him fight, pretty much all of us respect him as one of the best ever, the absolute best ever if you can overlook the doping. But I wasn't aware there are people who *like* him.

As it should. No matter how much people love GSP, he lost that fight
@@petuniapaul758 Agreed 1000% GSP lost and it's crazy they gave it to him. His face was destroyed!
Great video, guys!
MMA Right On Point 💯
If the ref would have taken a point in any one of those championship rounds, the Rayes Jones fight isnt close, and its funny how Jon couldn't get anything going against his last 3 Light heavyweight title defenses until after he started "rAnGe FiNdInG" his opponents eyes
Jones is a joke. Like, he's clearly insanely talented; that's undeniable. It's just that for a guy who could have easily been the undisputed goat to go out there and eye poke, hunt a DQ, and use peds...it's a goddamned shame. And now he wants a "legacy" fight against Stipe like Miocic is still in his prime. It has nothing to do with legacy or else he'd be trying to fight the opponents who people think would win. He's acting like Jake Paul these days for fucks sake.
Jones is the Colin Kapernick of the UFC.
Has been that wasn't even impressive his last few fights with delusions of coming back. Without the juice he's not elite, just a waste of talent
WAKE UP IT'S A TOMMY TOE HOLD VIDEO.

Please make a list of "MMA FIGHTERS WITH GREAT SKILLS THAT ARE ALWAYS MENTIONED THAT WE NEVER SEE". Examples: Justin Gaethje's wrestling, Junior dos Santos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Roy Nelson Brazilian jiu jitsu, Robert Whitaker wrestling, etc. I'm sure there's more but I always laugh when they talk about these great skills and we never see it from these great fighters. I think this could be a good list. Of course come up with a different title if that one is way too long.
On paper it's really not that hard to believe that GSP beat Hendricks. He landed more strikes, significant or otherwise. He also got more takedowns. To me it was definitely rough but he won three of the five rounds. And there's a simple principal when it comes to scoring back then that people might forget. Damage wasn't scored back then at all really. It didn't matter how bloody your opponent's face was made. Michael Bisping's victory over Dan Henderson in their second fight is another good example of this. His face was brutalized, Henderson even commented on it during his post-fight speech, something along the lines of "wish they scored based on how we looked". Once you add that factor in, it becomes pretty explainable how he was able to win. I also will admit the scoring damage on a side note I do believe is beneficial but I believe that strikes should be scored more for the impactfulness of the shot as opposed to the physical damage it causes. Clipping shots can cause cuts, things like headbutts can be missed by judges and officials, so that person gains a disadvantage because they're bleeding even if their opponent didn't properly strike them. Or for fighters that have issues like scar tissue. The Diaz brothers and Darren Elkins are now doomed to lose by decision every time if they let it go to the judges basically lol 🤣
Fun fact: Damage has never been scored. It still isn't in the scoring criteria. It's "effective striking" "effective grappling" "aggression" and "octagon control".
@@viper2kilo519 yes and it's been like that for basically 20 years, they were saying the same things when I was watching the UFC 2 decades ago. However they have flip flopped recently, whether it's official or not I don't know. I don't know if it was to push their guys and try and provide an explanation but during the Yan vs O'Malley event Jon Anik kept talking about damage being part of the scoring criteria now, whether this was just an excuse to try and make Sean look a bit better I don't know. Regardless it's not included in the official rules, the only rule that is even close is
"Heavier strikes will be given more weight than number of strikes landed. They're now classifying damage as "effective damage," which means strikes that do more damaged will be weighed more heavily than an overall strike count. Of course, this is still a visual thing, as judges don't have access to in-fight statistics."
Now that rule has been around for over a decade. Still it doesn't constitute lacerations to the face yet commentators mention it all the time as being a huge factor I don't get it lol. Think about how many times you've heard them talk about damage recently. But you are correct even the other day when I heard Jon anik going over the rules it was the same old thing that has always popped up damage was never mentioned
Or lose by cut like Nate ha!
Damage is a weird one because some people bleed easier then others, for example Cory against Vera where Cory was elbowing Chito in face and outstricking him for 5 rounds and yet his face still looked worst then Chito’s

say what ya will about shogun winning the first machida fight, but imagine how cool it woulda been to have machida win the rematch and set up machida as champion fighting jon jones as challenger
What about Matt Hughes vs Renato Verissimo?!
Just kidding, as that fight occurred right *after* Hughes lost the welterweight strap to BJ Penn, but right *before* he won the vacant title against GSP. 😋
Forgot about Bisping vs Henderson 2, judges saved Bisping there.
I better find nick up in here!!!!

Volk vs Holloway 2 should be on here
In light of recent events, the only thing upholding Volk's legacy is his trilogy win over Holloway...who just performed a legendary all-time moment at 300. That win from Fight 2 makes Volk's trilogy win over The BMF extremely valuable.
Came to see if they put Hendrix versus GSP on this list
If you're including draws, could also count Frankie Edgar Vs Gray Maynard II on here.
Undisputed and undefeated.
GSP vs. Hendricks for sure.
Not exactly a Hendricks fan, but he got done dirty.

You gotta finish the champ to be the champ*drops mic.
Valentina vs Taila Santos should be there too
Whatever happened to Tommy Toe Hold?? I haven’t seen or heard from him in a long ass time. Did they kill him off or did Nick Diaz finally take him out.
Pride showed everyone why champs should defend every fight☠️
Who here knew n1 was gonna be Silva vs Sonnen before even watch?
No hendo vs bisping?
GSP was not impressed by his own performance.(Good rematch.)
Holy shit, 2 minutes to get the video started.
Santos took all of Jon's best shots while having only 2 of 8 total knee ligaments functioning and still did more damage. That split decision is the most egregious form of judges managing the UFC's interest over judging the fight. There is no way Dana does go berserk on the judges for siding with a champion that would not have been able to defend the title within one year.
Haven't watched yet but Diego Reyes can't be on here because he actually beat Jones
Try telling that to delusional Jones fans🤦♂
Haven’t watched yet but predicting #1 is Grasso
Mahachev lost that first Volk fight. His face is the evidence of that
Luke Thomas, the biggest Volk D-rider, said that Islam won that fight, even said its more likely 4-1 for Islam. He watched it many times used the textbook rules and came to that conclusion. Volk made the rounds competitive, but he didn't win many rounds.
This reply section finna look real middle easterny real quick 😂

Jon barley won his last 2 at LHW no wonder he didn't wanna move up and fight a patient Francis that knocked out stipe.
Watching Volk vs Islam 1 was probably UFC is gonna get good for a while. A true super fight where the underdog could have easily won by the judges and it’d not have been a robbery.
If only Charlie Olives wasn’t injured and Volk didn’t take that 2nd fight in two weeks notice.
Im thinkin GSP, JJ, and Machida off top

Ps. Reyes won
If you wanna be champion you should clearly and definitively beat the current Champion.

We all knew what #1 was going to be.
The stupidity to think Volk won in the first fight when Islam had how many takedowns an how many minutes of top control, because of Islam being tired an in trouble in the last thirty seconds of the whole thing is hilarious
I’m a new fan and really don’t like GSP but I’ve gone back and watched that Hendricks fight and I think GSP won fair. Hendricks didn’t push the pace enough I found and his 70% comments afterwards were telling.
