Jun and Mae Make Walking (and Running) with a Prosthetic Leg Look Easy!

Jun, a veteran POA kid, helped her sister Mae (recently adopted from China) through the prosthetic fitting process. Mae, a hip disarticulate who had never walked a step in her life, took off outside of the parallel bars on the very first day we fit her with the test socket! A POA record for a HD amputee! Jun was fit with a new walking prosthesis and her 1st running leg. Both girls picked out beautiful fabric designs for their sockets. Mae went with a Minnie Mouse print - pink, of course! Jun chose an ornate Mexican skull design for her walking leg (very cool), and an awesome superhero girl print to show off her faaaaassstt running leg!
