Summer in Grenada: Weathering Storms and Snorkeling Ronde Island

- This week we traveled from Carriacou to Ronde Island. We had trouble setting our anchor but headed out for a snorkel once we were secure. Holly saw a plethora of fish, a turtle, and an octopus! A storm passed us overnight, bringing 30kn winds and a downpour of rain. When the sun returned, we set our course back to Grenada, where we will begin prepping to sail the Pacific next year! ⛵️

Nice snorkel spot, we sailed by it but never stopped, wish we had now!!!
We saw some dive charters stopping at the rocks in the distance… we’ll have to go back and explore more!

I’ve been recreational diving for over 40 years and just learned this. A black mask keeps the light from reflecting off the inside of your face mask back into your eyes, making a black mask so much clearer to see through when underwater. 👍 Cheers.
So interesting! That explains why all the black masks at the dive shops are so expensive…😅
