Best wishes to mr Grant and Radomir from Croatia! Romancing the stone and war party are my favourite songs
Lovely interview and sharing your place of birth. Your love for Guyana, proves one thing...100% Guyanese and true to the Guyana motto..
"One people one Nation one Destiny".
I was born in England of Guyanese parents and love Guyana. A truly beautiful country.
Would be nice Mr Eddie Grant, to write and sing a song about Guyana.😉
Thank you.
Wao I love the ending scene. The school children singing and thier uniforms are the same as those of children in public schools in Ghana.🇬🇭
South africa love this man🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
A lovely insight into the life of one man who has recently made me SO proud to be British, so don't forget the British bit, Mr Grant, and good luck with the album and the award. 🎶🌟👍
Welcome home Mr Grant; so happy to see you back in the the land of many waters. You're a class act, as always.
Eddy Grant is such an interesting artist and human being!!
His smile light's up the world.
I LOVE Mr Grant's Music, as a kid I heard one of his albums I fell in love with his Music, I wish him a long life and a great health,
What a humble man and the people clearly love him. I enjoyed that interview.
MY beautiful Guyana. Hello Sir Grant it's lovely seeing you 🇬🇾❤️
An incredibly gifted musician and humanitarian.
Love this Man. Have known him just a few months ago after coming across with his song "Electric Avenue" being played on a Filipino movie, and felt so nostalgic then. So I searched it and made me known of the man, Eddy Grant. I've been loving and listening to his songs then.
Love also this place. Seems so peaceful.
Wow,"going down electric avenue." My favourite song when I came to Canada. A true SON of GUYANA. IRRESPECTIVE OF WHATEVER CITIZENSHIP WE MAY AQUIRED AROUND THE WORLD, GUYANA WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN OUR HEARTS. IT IS WHERE WE TOOK OUR BREATH AS BABIES AND OUR EARLY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. LONG LIVE OUR LOVING COUNTRY OF GUYANA.
He could read a shopping list and I'd be hooked
I love you Eddie! Your music has always moved me!😁⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

What a legend I still play he's music
Few comments but very beautiful they are. Its not quantity it's pure and quality.
Love u Eddie from Ethiopia
Sad to see the Lyric theater closed - when the British started leaving we lost many of the theaters here.
There was not the trash on the street like when I last visited a few years back.
It is still a beautiful place but it is a shadow of it's former self. Hopefully Plaisance will return to it's former glory.
All those who thought Eddy grant was Jamaican had to do was to research.look up Google search really that easy....good to see him relaxed.and chilled.that's what the carribean does.free flowing vibe.
I for one LOVE the carribean.
A lot of people think the West Indies/Caribbean = Jamaica and little else, and forget or fail to notice that it's a very diverse and fascinating region. Much more to it than reggae and cricket.
I've been a fan since the 1980s always figured he was from Jamaica. We didn't have Google back then. Glad to see his roots.
Nice.
A great story .Most enjoyed watching
Respect to Mr. Grant , do you know he saved the rights to the caribeans folk music from the Sony corperation as if it didn't all ready belong to the people ,,, what a man put his money where his mouth is .

It's interesting to see where my mother came from (I myself was born and raised in the UK).
The rooster action is really intense. We are not in Manhattan, NYC or Londontown's Soho anymore, folks.
Cuántos años tiene Eddy grant en este 2023
Living in the Frontline....Yah Brother we still Live in the Frontline
Eddie Grant was my childhood music idol (as young as 5)
I was in Guyana, a beautiful country
I had the "baby come back album" in the late 60's early 70's. Then in 1976 the Equals reunion that brought out "Funky like a train" was performed at the National Park. The Equals didn't come on until 1 am maybe as "The Music Machine" with Aubrey cummings and Saggie jarvis and company were really jamming. Now a song that came out with the yoruba singers and Eddie grant called " yoruba drums" I think, is a song I would love to hear. Unfortunately I can't find it any where.
Yoruba drums gem of a song sang by Cyril " O'darie" Small of the original Yoruba singers... cannot find that song myself and O'darie has passed on R I P Dar....
@@charlesthorne4529 Thanks for the info. Sorry to hear. Hopefully someone, somewhere would release it one day. Thanks.
@@jewanc465 maybe Eddie Grant has it... that song has guitar tracks by Eddie Grant, that was done in Grant's studio.... MAYBE....
@@charlesthorne4529 Thanks. Charles. I have a friend in Barbados who know EG. I would ask him to see if EG has the copy. I have some old music buddies from the 1970's Guyana music scene who migrated but continued playing. I am the only one who didn't continue playing but all I need to do is hear it one more time and I would be able to do our version of it. Thanks for the ideal.
@@charlesthorne4529 This is me on guitar and vocals back in the days. this is why I so badly wants to hear it. ua-cam.com/video/zuekIRSJ8Us/v-deo.html

We
Love him God loves him. Nicely put my Friend.
Sir E. Grant is one of many of the beautiful creation of the most high. One love
Mr Grant
I remember back when I was in school in the late 70s when people used to argue about Eddie Grant and whether or not he was a Rasta. Most said that he wasn't a Rasta, he just grew his hair like that. He certainly doesn't act like someone who is following that religion and many people grow dreadlocks who are not Rastafarians so I am sure he is not.
One thing that is notable though, Eddie Grant is the only one that I have ever known to grow dreadlocks whilst at the same time, maintaining a clean shaved look. That's not a criticism or a bad thing, I like the image actually but it's just an observation because, whether they are Rastas or not, most blokes that grow dreads also let their beards grow, it's just unusual in my experience for someone to have dreads and no beard. His music is fantastic though.
It's called pretty dread....
We must clean up our environs, home to breathe your birth air
💛💛💛
Do papo dos dois eu não entendi patavina, mas o galo cantando eu entendi.
Everthing ws going great until the british leave..😰😢

@Gorgon Don The brutish are everywhere. You cannot escape from brutish people. We have seen that in America of late with brutish people looting and burning things. Perhaps the only way to deal with brutish people is to apply firm laws against them from acting out.
