I have a 98 with a factory sub in the rear and my factory amp quit working. I plan on doing the same thing except I want to run an upgraded amp. Hopefully I can find one that I can bolt to the factory box.

I’m installing a factory subwoofer in my wife’s 2008 expedition that did not come with one originally. Is the original harness for the subwoofer routed in the headliner or is it on the floor? Thanks
You’re very welcome, I felt the same way before I started working on it 👍
Qwerty
You saved a lot of ppl time and headache with this video
Thank you very much for posting this! this is exactly what I needed to see.
Everything just snaps off. You got to play with it a bit. Disconnect the cables to the seat remotes. Super easy I did it in like 30-45 min
I definitely needed this video only part I don’t wanna do is take the whole panel off
Bro I've been looking for this exact video thanks 👍👏
So which two wires are together, I see the stripes are negative, but which positive goes to which negative? 🤔
Thank u bro appreciate this video on my 04 expedition
Was it difficult…I have a 04 thinking about doing this
I appreciate this video. However can someone make a step by step that shows how to take everything off as well as the wiring behind the unit?
Thank you!

I have been looking everywhere for this - Did you buy an 8ohm or 4ohm sub to replace the factory ?
Does the box have enough space to customize it for a 10 inch sub?
I’m wanting do the same to my 06 expedition does it sound way better ??
Thanks for the video. Can you please tell me what is the mounting depth of the sub?
I just connected my new stereo but i got no subwoofer sound coming. What’s the colors cables i need to connect on the harnesses?
Let me know if you figured that out
Did you figure it out?? What connection did you use?
How much work to get to the subwoofer? I want to remove everything behind that panel to hide my amp for 2 15s.
Is it possible to remove that box to put a bigger subwoofer box such as a 12 or 10?
Did everything just snap off when removing the panels to get to the sub or was it some bolt removal required
Just snaps off there is 1 screw you have to remove to pop it all out which is towards the trunk under the panel where the factory jack is
