Every reactor is different, but when they all react to the same thing, you are bound to see similarities. It is when you compare them side by side you can see the unique artistic flare they bring to their own creations, and you can also see what a react channel is not sufficiently transformative to differentiate itself from everyone else out there. The first stage of doing the analysis is picking a data point of interest you'll use as the axis of comparison, in this case a low note as it's your special focus and something we're hardwired to respond to, and packaging the reactions in a way that they can be easily compared to each other. Your work here is transformative as it cannot serve as a replacement for any of the sampled videos in their entirety. And I've officially overthought this. XD Just pointing the way in case a react channel gets butthurt.
I love that you can totally tell that the harmonics are leading towards that note, theoretically, your head expects a low note there, but you can't actually imagine it properly until it's sung and it. blows. my mind. every freaking time.
@@sersastark In Voiceplay's Hoist The Colours, he hits a low note and slides it up 2 full octaves without a pause. Lol. Yeah, Phil is actually really good reactor normally. Earlier in that reaction he'd basically had enough of his brain scrambled by Geoff that he was just like "Alright, whatever, I can't deal anymore".
it is rather amusing to see them all complied like this. It's also fun that the more trained the listener is, the more shock they show from his range, and that last subharmonic E1
my absolute favourite part of ppl reacting to songs with Geoff in them is their facial reaction to him hitting both a decently-high Tenor and then dropping to a deep enough Sub-Bass that you FEEL it more than hear it lol
Tim foust would not do this, why? He basically hit the low notes on Stage only from what i saw from them. Go subscribe to Patreon for VoicePlay. Minimum is $1 a month
@@sabrinapederson6273 In the second part of the video I linked above, Geoff goes into detail about how he produced that note. You can find that video here: ua-cam.com/video/sVGFTMb_3ns/v-deo.html and he talks about it at 1:24 of that video. He specifically says it is a subharmonic E at 2:00
Steven Alaimo, I am very confused. My dad and I watched a video where Geoff said that it was a chest note, and a B flat 1. And now he's saying that it was sub harmonics. So...?????
I'm so sad😭 I got a slight low tone hearing deficit and unless I am listening to the original video LOUD with great headphones, I can literally not hear that last note...

It could've gone up too... I'm not sure they really expected it to go lower...
I know the last note is mightily impressive, but the B4 he belts right before is really insane too
B4 to an E1 in under 10 seconds.
I keep looking for people to react to that because he legitimately jumped 3 notes up and then landed three notes down in the span of like 15 seconds.

@@unreadaethel6878 And he can hold both!
And it's totally clean, like an epic rock lead! 🤯🔥
when geoff can sing both higher than you and lower than you :(
and better than me
ha me too, he's got a full 4 full steps of bass lower than me, and his high range is just so much better
And causes earthquakes just by talking. Listen to his tutorial videos. When he talks, tie down your bass speaker.
He is 5 semitones below me in chest and 2 above me in falsetto, but his chest voice starts higher and clearer than mine.
Well he can sing lower anyway.
The fact that ive seen all of these reactions multiple times already each makes me worried. This cover is too underrated.
It has 2 million views but it should have 200 mil lol
Right. I think there was only 2 of the reactors in this comp that i dont already follow and hadnt seen react to this
@@Marcell0Bass 1 million of those are me
It’s at almost 9 million now and has about 2 million more views than the original on YT.
Vocal Coaches reactions to Geoff hitting Subharmonic E1 is one of my "Feel Good' things for when I'm feeling down
Best part is he can go lower. In their cover of My Mother Told Me, he drops to a subharmonic F1.
@@Tyler_Gomola That's higher, this was E1
I love the second guy that just sat there and didn’t do anything for most of the time, I was dying😂
Nate woww

*geoff going down to E1*
he throws in a casual "wow.. that was awesome."
😂😂
The most expressive reaction 2:00
😂😂😂
I think I blinked and missed it.
@Hard Wingai Oh. Well, I wasn't sure because who doesn't have a mask these days! 😅 Not quite as cool though. It was still a pretty great reaction...

4:20 : This is the definition of an eargasm
Of course the main focus is on Geoff but Earls high E is impressive as well. ^^
Yes!! Pretty sure it’s chest
@@Marcell0Bass at least cheat dominant! 🤯🔥
These reactions never get old. It's like me hearing it for the first time over again. Even when you think you are ready, you aren't.
Everybody knows it's coming. Nobody is ready for it.
5:32 was like my life is a lie😂😂😂
Kasper Music, he even said, “Here it comes. I know it’s coming.” But he still wasn’t really ready when it hit him!
Geoff Castellucci is really good at singing bass. He should be in a vocal band one day.
Hopefully one day
He's a good tenor 1 at the moment, hopefully he'll be able to work on his lows though, because he really only has high notes at the moment.
I love the captions on the original video by VoicePlay. "(Subterranean) Man!"
3:58 the fact he was cut off so fast makes it even funnier
That first girl was too busy reacting to appreciate that final note!
I only watch the reactions for that one note anyway so thank you!
I literally can’t stop laughing at Santa’s face at the end 😐🤣😂
This video is a great reason why you need to wear headphones or something.
Great video! I actually had the same idea to make this video, but I’m glad you beat me too it cuz I’m too lazy 😂
hahaha thats funny
That last note from Geoff made every Male testicles drop 3 feet after hearing it.
Lost comment here
the guy at 4:13 was SO not ready for what he was asking for
Fabtastic idea for a video! The last two were the best reactions! I do wish you'd shown them re-reacting to the note though. But great job!
I think this is my favorite little reaction compilation and I could listen to Geoff sing that part a million times 😂❤️
my absolute favourite part of ppl reacting to songs with Geoff in them is their facial reaction to him hitting both a decently-high Tenor and then dropping to a deep enough Sub-Bass that you FEEL it more than hear it lol
Oh well, I like the guy you like to, he always does great reactions and his commenting skills are on point.
He just has good energy and seems like a happy guy
4:30 Great Value Evgeni Malkin wildin’ out here
The last half of this video is all great reactor's. I love them
I keep telling people I'm a lesbian until I occasionally hear Geoff sing bass on my autoplay and am reminded that I am in fact bisexual,
That made me laugh out loud.
i have a girlfriend and Geoff's voice makes me feel things.
I can only imagine VoicePlay members seeing Geoff doing this, it would be hilarious
Lol

On the HIGHLY unlikely chance that anyone doesn't know that note a the end that is an E1 (which I didn't know human voices could EVER reach)
Lol I love how sometimes the guys look like they got more excited by geoff than the girls lmao
what it do homies. its ya boy d a v e and i'm back today
It is *I L L E G A L* to go that low!
Watching people collectively melt at that last note is just amazing.
The average singer can sing 2 octaves.
Very skilled singers can sing 3 octaves.
Geoff: "Oh I'm sorry, was that 4 octaves? My bad."
Try 4.5-5 for Geoff lol
hate to break it to you but multiple skilled singers can do 4 octaves. some can even do 5.
geoff can do over 5
dude you know a song is good when theres reactions of it xD
Are you reading my mind sir? Yeah i was shook when i heard geoffs g#1 subharmonic too
😂 g#1 oh yeah
....too bad its an E1 xDDD
@@NeckCS2 Yup E1 subharmonic ending, I believe the note that comes right before it is a B1?
@@decabytegaming998 yup, the last seconds goes B4-B3-B2-B1-E1

Right at the end. "I know it's coming..." Sits in complete silence, dumbstruck after that last note.
Geoff never disappoints
I'm still salty about beth roars. she didn't seem to hear that subharmonic note.
Wow mat mercer can really sing lol
Someone help me. I'm trapped in aan endless loop where I only watch Geoff castelluci reaction videos.
I'm a baritone. I managed that note once. I was very drunk (loose cords) and managed to hold it for a second. It was wobbly.
When everyone 's prepared for that low note but NO ONE is prepared for that low note XD
I was hoping a video like this existed.
There is a channel for Russian Oktavists, and they sing subharmonics for church music. Its all pretty impressive
They use pure chest
0:01 that guy looks like the santa Claus from the music video
I'd ask for a compilation of reactions to the low note in Man of Constant Sorrow, but it'd be like three clips, since most reactors talk through it.
I get tics from sensory stuff and that lost note tickles my brain so right my head does the entire cha cha slide
I love that E1 hit. So good...
He goes from a high B4 to a subharmonic E1. Epic!!
The last guy knew it was coming and still was shooketh.
Everyone: How did he hit that low note?
Me who can sing subharmonics: 😐
@Shawn Furl ua-cam.com/video/RW-s5fotJNo/v-deo.html
I can sing subharmonics but you have to admit that the low note is still insane
Geoff didn't use sub harmonics to hit that last note. That was a chest note. A 'B flat 1', which very few people in the world can hit.

I wonder what note he's growling because his lowest subharmonic before he usually growls is E1
What would his morning voice be
