I lost my momma on Sept. 5th this year. I absolutely treasure every piece of paper that has her handwriting on it. She had Alzheimer's and didn't write much of anything the last 5 years. Every scrap of paper I find that has her writing or my daddy's, I save. Daddy had Parkinson's, and he wrote out entire books of the Bible on index cards. To have his writing and for it to be scripture is a true treasure here on earth.

It’s a little piece of them with you! Praying for you as you mourn your momma. One day you will unite with her and your dad and they will be made new! Amen! 🙏🏼🫶🏼 For now cherish that writing! Hi Ingrid! What a sweet little journal. Back in May I made pocket journals for the moms in my life. So I made one for my daughter in law. Just yesterday I was happy to see it in her purse. So she uses it! It warmed my heart. I decided that I would make her a full size one for Christmas. I recently got forty sheets of beautiful paper from Joann’s. I’m gearing up to make full size journals for the moms that I made the pocket journals for Mother’s Day. This time for Christmas. They will be so fun to make. I really enjoyed watching you make this journal. I need to speed up my process. I tend to second guess everything making it take too long. So watching you create rather fast is just the thing I needed to see. God is good. Gave me just what I needed, when I needed to see it. Thank you Ingrid. I hope you have a wonderful day. Very cute journal! I wanted to comment about the books-I am exactly the same. I picked up this book a few weeks ago, basically because of the lovely old patina of the pages. This week I went to take some of its contents for a journal, and found it was published in 1959. So, back on my shelf it went!

Great little journal. I understand your relationship with vintage books! I have so many books that I bought to use in junk journals. I get them home and am like "oh, it's beautiful, I can't tear this up!" I have two dictionaries that I pull from. The other 20 are pretties for my dictionary collection. 😊
Deborah…did we just become best friends?!! 🥰🥰🥰 It’s such a struggle! I recently found some fabric at Goodwill and then realized it was a twin size bed ruffle and now I can’t tear it up 😭
Fabric! I don't sew, don't even sew on paper yet. (I have two sewing machines!) But, I'm always looking for fabric for my junk journaling friend in Texas.

What an adorable little journal, Ingrid! I feel the same about cutting into a book but I am just as bad about scrapbook paper! It is all so beautiful. Maybe that is why I am slow as molasses trying to complete anything. Not good for a paper crafter!

I think that’s why I love printables, it takes away the worry of it being gone forever! I used to do it with my Tim Holtz stuff as well! But once I made my ephemera book (last year) I started using more than I was hoarding. Baby steps! 😅💕
Diane, I’m not sure if this helps or not, but I believe that you can print at the library. It might not be as fancy as Staples or Office Depot, but I think that it’s a lot more reasonably priced. If you’re thinking about doing it, you could probably call them and ask before you head over. Although, a trip to the library is always a good idea in my book. 💕
