I recently filmed and uploaded a hotel tour of the Jw Marriott in Vancouver, BC, Canada. They had much less fun elevators, they didn’t have the keypad that I love, like this one does. The ones there had a fun felt wall on the back, it was fun using the keycard or just my fingernails to draw things haha.
Out of curiosity, did you visit the Ring Building? They formerly had Otis Signal Control passenger elevators, but sadly they have been modernized (unless there's an original service car???)
Hi, what is the earliest destination dispatch system made by Schindler in the US? Also, why do you have two different time frames for Miconic 10 that kind of overlap with each other. Could you explain that a little bit please?
Schindler Miconic 10 was the first DD system both Internationally and in the US and from what I can find online, the first installation done period was done in 1993 somewhere overseas. They didn't come into the US until either the Late 90s or early 2000s however, with the earliest confirmed known American installation having been done in 2002.
@@FloridianElevators interesting. Also, what about the two timeframe is for the system? Was that a Miss type or was that done on purpose? Edit: I figured it out. My screen reader wasn’t reading punctuation, so that’s why I didn’t understand why there were two different time frames in the description.
It's awesome that you met up with Electric Bird!
We all know and love these elevators! One of the best ones in DMV!
I’ve rode & recorded these before! Nice video!
These elevators are my favorite in DC

Very nice Schindlers! But how can you tell if it is a SchindlerHaughton?
The doors and the keyhole location give it away.
What if it’s modernized?
@@FloridianElevators Also the leftovers of the old indicator at the top of the cab aswell.
